“First visit, staff was super attentive and friendly. Nice menu choices for a pre-fixed and the amount of food your getting for the price is crazy good! Upgraded prices for certain menu items were worth it as well. So nice that they even offered complimentary after dinner drinks cause it was my dad's birthday dinner.“

“We booked my sister's surprise 30th Birthday at the Tap Room in Patchogue and had the BEST experience! Both bartenders were so kind and accommodating the entire time! Also, booking was a breeze! I was in great communication with the Event Coordinators throughout the entire process prior to the party. They were always prompt in answering questions and super friendly. Everyone at the party loved the food (we ordered a few trays of apps) and did the open bar package. The night couldn't have gone any better!“

“Came because of a recommendation for the wings from a friend. Got the boneless and the on bone. Golden Carolina and Honey BBQ flavored. Neither disappointed. They were fantastic! The coating stayed on, it was crispy, and tasted good. The sauces were very good tasting. The chicken was tender and juicy. I will be back.Parking: The lot gets packed pretty quick. “First time here for a late lunch. Our server was excellent and the food ordered was very good. Onion rings were especially good. Food came out timely. Side salads are a nice size. Good basic pub food with reasonable prices and good sized portions. We'll be back.“

“The food we got was delicious. My wife had the cauliflower crust flatbread, which was a little sweeter than she expected because of the jam on it, but still very good, and I had the fish and chips. The dunks were also very good and the ambiance was a lot of fun. We sat at the high tops in the bar which is more of the loud and a lot going on seeing...because it's a bar of course which is what we wanted that night, however there were much much quieter and low key tables in the back of the restaurant for the sit down eating experience. This one is now added to our regular list of places to go.“

“We have a tradition of coming here for st pattys day because my hubby does not eat red meat. He always getfs his turkey burger and is happy. I was estatic to see fried pickles on the menu. I got the pickles, seafood bisque, caesar salad and a corned beef sandwich. EVERYTHING was fresh, came out hot and was delicious. It can get loud but it was st pattys day after all. Oh yeah and a pretzel. Each year is better than the last. Thank you Grumpy Jack's.UPDATE New Years Eve 2024. Has to get take out since mynhusband had a cold. He gets Grumpy's chicken with mashed potatoes and string beans. I got onion soup, a shrimp cocktail, sm Greek salad and fish n chips (hey it's a last meal after all!) Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The food came out SUPER HOT and PERFECT. We don't go anywhere else for our special occasions. THANK YOU GRUMPY JACK'SUPDATE. ST. PATTY'S 2024 husband got his chicken and I got a small Greek salad and the corned beef platter and a non alcoholic bloody Mary. Staff is always pleasant and keep in touch with you. Food came out hot and plentiful. Oh yes perfectly cooked and delicious. We come here for major holidays and person events. Don't intend to change as they are all the BEST.“

“This place is the best pub in the area hands down. Great food. Great service. Great beer! Clean tap lines (clean in general as well). Try the steak egg roll, it’s legit. Cocktails look good but I can’t resist ipa on a good draft system. Well done!“

“Seating area has shade, but not much elsewhere. Food is somewhat pricey given the fact that it's on the beach. Outdoor bar. You can only drink in the designated areas because of New York State laws. Excellent for laying on the beach and watching sunsets (Note: Long Island North Shore is somewhat rocky).Another side note: Last time I was here the bar area, they had somewhat of a bee issue. Apparently they've discovered that there are sugars and protein to be had, so they come around. No one was stung last I saw.“

“Scouted six different Cajun style restaurants in Long Island. Wound up in the farthest location with the best menu, the best service, and the best flavors. Totally enjoyed that jambalaya, seafood specials for fabulous, stuffed mushrooms were delicious.Wonderful venue for our small party. “New to the area and stopped in for the first time yesterday. This place is fantastic. Friendly people, great drinks and pint. Nice short bar menu including the wings that were tremendous. Folks were waiting in anticipation for lunch specials and rightly so. All fresh and well prepared. Prime rib sandwich was great. Cash only, old school small Irish pub, GREAT bar food. Top notch place.“
