“My girlfriends and I was just at Moderne Barn last night. It was my first time eating here. I have to say the overall environment was very friendly, welcoming, beautiful. By the way I love the chandeliers. We sat upstairs - very nice area. Plenty of people eating here. The food and drinks I may add is very delicious. I had salmon and white wine and sangria. It appeared that he had too many tables and we had to continually ask for things...(hot sauce, dessert menus, for our table to be cheated, the check). Maybe they just hit a beautiful day and they got mobbed and there went enough staff? We didn't let it ruin our meal. Would definitely return.“

“This restaurant is a real find, perfect location overlooking the Tappan Zee bridge, the service was quick and organized, the atmosphere was calm and harmonious, and about the food, everything was carefully plated in a 5-star style, and the prices are affordable, I had the lobster risotto which was by far the best seafood plate I've ever had. It was well worth the visit and I will definitely come back again. Note, don't leave without trying the Truffle Dessert it was totally amazing“

“Love this place! This is my go-to spot for lunch with friends and family. I highly recommend the grilled peach ricotta toast, the hot honey chicken sandwich, the everything pigs in a blanket, the crispy brussels sprouts and any of the smoothies. YUM!

The moss wall art is STUNNING!

The whole restaurant and bar area is really beautiful. Wish they’d bring back dinner and happy hour so I could go more often with my husband and daughter. But happy to continue to visit for lunch until then :)“

“The staff is very friendly. Seating is available in the garden and indoors. The menu has great variety and great prices. I've had the chicken sandwich, burger, wrap and many more items on the menu. Great spot for brunch or a quiet meal.“

“Had the breakfast burrito 🌯 been wanting to get to this place for a while.

Wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it was good. The chorizo was the one I went with definitely wasn’t disappointed.

I don’t think it’s worth a far drive but if you’re in the area or it’s not completely out your way it’s definitely worth stopping in for a visit. The place does have seating but not a lot of room. There is a park near by and lots of outdoor seating near the area. That’s what I chose to do.

The breakfast burrito price was amazing especially for nyc the food was good quality and really delicious. The sauce everyone was talking about wasn’t over powering. Matter of fact I wish I had more next time I’ll ask for some on the side felt like I needed an extra pump 😂.

I truly enjoyed this place and I’m sure you guys will also the coffee was mid but it’s ok food makes up for it.

“This location is located in Ridgehill. After a little shopping or after a movie is a good place to go eat. The place is big. It has a good selection and food and drinks, especially their beer selection. Also options for children. Staff was also very pleasant.“

“This restaurant is almost a secret. It has a very unassuming facade. Inside it feels like a posh Manhattan eatery in the middle of White Plains. The food is delicious with an elegant presentation. I love that it looks at the fountain on Main Street. So peaceful. Service is also top notch.“

“Wanted to give a shout out to the restaurant, Freddy’s, in Pleasantville. Went with a couple of girlfriends a few weeks ago and then again with my hubby last week. Both meals were delicious. The appetizers are yummy! Most of all, though, I wanted to remark on the atmosphere. The people in charge are just delightful. Had a chance to meet the owner. He told me he named the restaurant after his grandfather ( forgive, it might have been his father). Either way I thought it was nice. He has a young family and loves what he does. Using a translucent material for the menus was a nice touch! The salmon was light and airy with just the right amount of sweet honey and lemon, the contrasts danced on my tongue. “Modern on the Rails is a solid dinner spot. It’s a great location and the ambiance/decor is a total vibe. It’s definitely got an upscale feel, while also not being stuffy or fancy. You could easily go here for dinner in jeans and not feel out of place, but also if you wanted to dress up for a date night or special occasion, it would also be appropriate.

The space is also really nice and is a good option if you were having a larger group or wanted to do a celebratory meal.

The staff is friendly and attentive.

The food is solid and the price is reasonable for what you are getting. They brought over bread to start and the bread was nice and warm. We started with the burrata app which weirdly came with 3 pieces of medium bread (same as the basket, but toasted or grilled). It felt like it should have been smaller crostini type bread and also more pieces given the app, but it didn’t matter because we had the warm bread basket. The app itself was nice, but not overly special.

For dinner we had the burger and the squid ink pasta with salmon. The burger was good, but the sweet potato fries needed any kind of seasoning, even salt. The pasta was the best dish of the night. The salmon was cooked perfectly, the sauce was delicious and the pasta was great.

Overall, I would definitely come back here again. It’s a nice spot with reasonable prices, great ambiance and service, and the food is solid.“
