“We love going to Foster—at this point, you could say we’re regulars. We typically sit at the bar. We especially love their specials, and I’m still thinking about the elk burger I had last year (please bring it back!).The oysters are always fresh and delicious, and the fried chicken is absolutely amazing. Recently, I’ve been loving the salmon with corn and shishito succotash and blueberry teriyaki. Honestly, everything is consistently fresh and delicious.

John, the bartender, makes excellent cocktails—many with fun names like Silence of the Lambrusco. He puts a lot of care into his craft, from house-infused ingredients to thoughtful presentation. He also always keeps you hydrated with their house water, which I truly appreciate.

Happy hour is a great deal and is available at the bar only, Wednesday through Sunday from 5:00–7:00 pm, and all night on Mondays. We love ordering the wood-fired Margherita pizza and fried chicken wings for $12.36, along with their house margarita at $10.30—delicious and affordable.

When we do get a table, the service is always spot on.

“The location of this store is perfect and the food is always great. That being said service can be hit or miss, for lack of better wording. I find that though everyone is always friendly you may find ingredients missing or scarce in the warm bowl or salad that’s been ordered. There may be a lot of turn around in employees so that could account for the discrepancy.“

“Homey’s Bistro is the place to go to in Glen Head. Across from the LIRR Parking is easy. They serve breakfast, amazing lunch and NOT TO FORGET, the donuts 🍩 and cinnamon rolls, which are massive. Three try one of their amazing iced espresso. They also have beer from a local distributor and started last week. They’re doing wine and crate trays on the evenings of Friday and Saturday. i’ll be going this Friday tomorrow to check that one out. I will give this place five stars friendly. They have their own pastry chef on staff, which makes everything fresh daily. Check it out.“

The pho is delish made in house. It is more on the spices side. Which I personally enjoy. The house made wontons chefs kiss I worded another one to go. It came with a bed of like a carrot and cabbage salad. It was light refreshing but the wonton wrapper wasn’t thick ! Yum ! Definitely coming back for the chicken sandwich. “We had a wonderful athlete team party yesterday at Kiko Ramen in Manhasset.
John and his staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout the event. They provided us with a private area for the team, while the parent guests were comfortably seated in another section.

“This was my first time entering this pizza shop. My husband works at the hospital, so I caught the train to New Rochelle to meet him but I was very hungry and was craving pizza all day. I googled pizza shop near me and I believe 3 popped up. Well I chose Mario’s shop, and was not disappointed. Something about that pizza sauce was different. “I took my family to la riserva last week. We had an amazing dinner. My girls loved the pasta fagioli!!! They also enjoyed their meals; pasta with marinara and the chicken parmigiana with green beans. My husband and I equally enjoyed our meals. The service was great. “Highly recommend their lunch special. You pick 2 out of 4 options (soup, salad, pasta, panini) and they put it in a box which is convenient when you’re on the go. I ordered 1/2 pear salad and 1/2 chicken panini, and their famous spicy mayo on side. Healthy option when you’re on the go or dining in.“

My daughter Victoria and I stopped by this Olive Garden at 1246 Old Country Road, and we had a wonderful experience. Our server, Ariana, was excellent—very attentive, friendly, and professional. The manager, Margarita, was also amazing and made sure everything was perfect.
The food was delicious and came out very fast, which we truly appreciated. We enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere and the outstanding attention we received throughout our visit.

“Best hamburger hotdog place that serves great beer near Hosfstra University. Every time I go with my wife to visit our son who is at Hofstra despite trying to go to different venues to grab a bite before we head back to Jersey. We always end up at black label because the food is so good, the service is great the people are very friendly and the service is quick. If you’re in Hempstead or Westbury and looking for a good burger, good hotdog in a simple atmosphere black label is my first choice.“

“I love their pizzas. They have a brick oven that they make their pizzas in and it really brings out the authenticity of the pizza. Their pizzas are sized just for you to eat. You have a choice of ordering a bigger/“regular” sized pizza that you’d often see at other pizza places but their pizza size makes it so easy for you to just eat that by yourself and go. One recommendation for when you go is definitely the bbq chicken pizza! I love the bbq chicken pizza. I get it all the time but it may be a little too sweet for some as said by others that have tried the pizza but i dont think you can go wrong with bbq chicken pizza even if you do find it a bit sweet.“

“My wife and I have ordered from Previti for several years now thru Door Dash. the food has always been excellent. The other day I had a call from Previti. It was the owner, Joe. He told me that my mother had wandered in after having her car bumper come completely loose on Marcus Ave. She had no phone, and was shaken up by the whole ordeal. Joe called me for her, and gave her a cup of hot tea. I went over, picked her up and got her home. Later my wife and I returned to pick up her car. “From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, this restaurant was amazing. Monroe’s offers a cozy feel, with amazing staff and welcoming smiles. We started out with drinks and appetizers. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped guide us to delicious appetizer choices. I had the eggplant rollatini special and my dad had the clams orreganata. I order items with vodka sauce quite frequently and this was the best I have ever had. It was smooth and creamy with amazing flavor! The homemade focaccias bread was delicious and airy, the perfect piece of bread to soak up the remainder of the sauces from our appetizers (because it was too good to leave a single drop). For dinner I ordered the skirt steak, medium rare. The marinade was sensational, and the skirt steak cut like butter! It was cooked to perfection. Even the vegetables and potatoes it came with were delicious. My dad ordered the penne Ala vodka and added chicken cutlet to the dish. He couldn’t stop raving about it. We were so full after our appetizers and main entrees, but the dessert menu was too tempting. We shared a slice of the raspberry cheesecake and oh my goodness, if you like cheesecake, order this! They make it in house and it was the perfect sweet treat to end our dining experience. I paired it with a cappuccino. Monroe’s doesn’t disappoint, even to the last detail. My cappuccino had a cute cinnamon heart on top. Overall, Monroe’s was truly a delightful and pleasant experience. We will definitely be returning and recommending to all of our friends and family!“

“We woke up early on a snowy Sunday and changed our plans because of the weather, so we decided to look for a breakfast spot instead. We had passed this place many times, and since it had great reviews, we finally decided to give it a try. What a great decision.

Any review that says the food is bland must be biased, because this was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. The whipped cream tasted like it was freshly made. The whiskey pancakes were incredibly flavorful, with perfectly spiced raisins and apple slices mixed right in. The Hungry Farmer’s plate—with eggs, cheese, bacon, and sausage all together—was like a circus in your mouth.

This will definitely be our new go-to breakfast place when we want to splurge a little. The prices are basically the same as a diner, so why go to a crappy diner when you can eat at such a pretty, spacious restaurant?“
