The Caesar salad I ordered was absolutely incredible — perfectly chopped, super fresh, and coated in the most rich, creamy dressing that had just the right balance of tangy and savory. “Mario’s Metro Pizza completely changed what I expected from a pizzeria. We came in for a full tasting and every single dish overdelivered. The chicken scarpariello was the standout, juicy chicken smothered in a sauce with real depth, sausage and thin cut potatoes mixed in, plated like something from a sit down Italian restaurant rather than handed over a counter. The vodka rigatoni with fresh burrata was another surprise, creamy, rich, and not something you expect to find at a pizza shop. The Philly cheesesteak pizza and hot honey pepperoni with vodka sauce were both excellent as well, and the hot honey and buffalo wings are made completely from scratch in house.

Beyond the food, the hospitality stood out. The owners, two brothers with over a decade of experience in kitchens across Westchester and New York City, took over a pizzeria that had been a neighborhood staple for decades and elevated it without losing that local feel. You can tell everything is made fresh and with real care.

John and his staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout the event. They provided us with a private area for the team, while the parent guests were comfortably seated in another section.

“Homey’s Bistro is the place to go to in Glen Head. Across from the LIRR Parking is easy. They serve breakfast, amazing lunch and NOT TO FORGET, the donuts 🍩 and cinnamon rolls, which are massive. Three try one of their amazing iced espresso. They also have beer from a local distributor and started last week. They’re doing wine and crate trays on the evenings of Friday and Saturday. i’ll be going this Friday tomorrow to check that one out. I will give this place five stars friendly.
