“We are long time patrons of this restaurant. Owners and management has changed over the years but the staff has stayed and true to their craft. Tonight we had a party of 16 and were treated like family. Not one missed step even with another large party and and a full house.“

“New to the area and stopped in for the first time yesterday. This place is fantastic. Friendly people, great drinks and pint. Nice short bar menu including the wings that were tremendous. Folks were waiting in anticipation for lunch specials and rightly so. All fresh and well prepared. Prime rib sandwich was great. Cash only, old school small Irish pub, GREAT bar food. Top notch place.“
“Great food, very nice folks working there. They were busy when we got there for an early dinner, about 3:30 on Saturday. The food came in a reasonable amount of time. Our waitress was very nice. The portions are good sized and normally priced. With a tip, the meal was about $ 54 with the tip, which is included in price at 20%, and only applied to the food and not tax. We had 1 order of stuffed tater tots (very tasty and nicely cooked), and split the Dutchman burger, that was cooked correctly, which we didn't finish, and substituted onion rings for fries. Good comfort food. Gotta try the shepherds pie next time.“
“Very cool local and place with amazing food and service. I drink coffee and water. I went once and they didn't have coffee and waitress sent her parent to supermarket to get met parents and I was impressed was earlier in the day. Would truly and wholeheartedly recommended Shenanigans Cafe. Everyone there is always laughing and in good mood.“
“We were visiting Stony Brook and came across this bar & grill. The restaurant was nicely decorated with Halloween decor. We ordered Nachos, the 1095 Burger, and the Chicken Pesto Panini. The Nachos came with a variety of different toppings like guacamole, sour cream, chili, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, and Pico de Gallo. It came out really quickly and was devoured in seconds. Each chip had an adequate amount of toppings to go along with it. The Chicken Pesto Panini came with an order of fries and a large slice of pickle. We liked the pesto sauce and thought the roasted peppers were great. However, we found the chicken to be a tad dry. The 1095 Burger came with a large slice of pickle and an order of fries as well, but we switched it to cajun fries for $3.50 extra. The 1095 Burger's "Bench Sauce" was incredible; it was sweet and had a kick to it. However, we requested the burger to be made medium rare, but it came out to be medium well. Overall, we enjoyed the food, but it was a little pricey which is understandable because it is a bar. We would want to come back to try their other menu items.“

“Saw the bar/restaurant was under new ownership, so I went in to check it. The owner and staff are very nice and personable. They had a DJ, and everything’s decorated for christmas! The chicken tacos were delicious, great flavor with fresh ingredients. He really cleaned the place up and is still working on improvements. Can’t wait to see the final outcome!“
“Went to American Standard Whiskey Bar tonight. Was an absolute great experience.We went early around 5:30pm. Place was already busy, but we sat right away. Live guitar singer, she was excellent and not too loud. Took requests and also had a full list of songs available to play.Kay was our server. She was great from start to finish..My wife has an allergy, gluten and they had plenty of options for her. Removing things off of dishes, substitutes, took it very seriously which was great. Also, most of their apps are Vegan and Gluten Free already.We ordered wings and Brussels sprouts. Kay suggested getting the passion fruit habanero wings.. they were excellent. Even the homemade blue cheese was great. Brussels sprouts were also excellent, couldn't finish the portion, had to bring it home.We ordered salmon, and the chicken fried steak.. both were cooked perfect. Good came out quick and hot, but we never felt rushed.The portions were large enough for us to have some to take home..Kay suggested the chicken fried steak and I am glad she did it was so good.My wife had two mojitos, the peach and the watermelon. I had two different bourbon choices. One of my own, and one suggestion.We were check on 4-5 times throughout the night.Really they did a great job with the ambience and the vibe of the place.Give it a chance if you havnt.Vegetarian options: So many!Dietary restrictions: They took my wife's allergies of gluten VERY SERIOUS. “What a great place! Nice open bar, the food was great, my Agency had a Holiday Party there recently and the atmosphere was truly perfect. Had a couple glasses of white wine, the food was delicious, the tables were spread out nicely, we had plenty of room to gather and mingle. This place is local for most of us so the trip back and forth was short. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice sports bar for a cocktail to watch your favorite game and for a delicious bite to eat. Great local place in Sayville!“
