“Tropix Lounge is an absolute vibe from start to finish! The atmosphere is lively, colorful, and full of great energy — the perfect spot to unwind, chill with friends, or start your weekend right. The hookah selection is excellent, with a wide range of smooth, flavorful options that keep you coming back for more. The drinks are top-tier — perfectly mixed, refreshing, and crafted with real attention to detail.

The music was another highlight — a great mix of hits that kept the mood upbeat and fun without being overwhelming. You can tell the DJ knows how to read the crowd and keep the night flowing just right.

If there’s one thing that could make the experience even better, it would be adding a few more waitresses. The bartender was doing an amazing job juggling drinks and serving food, but with a little more staff support, the service could be flawless.

“157 Tavern has been a staple in the area for 10 years and is an excellent choice for parties or group gatherings. You can simply provide them with your budget, and they will curate the menu for you, which makes the planning process very convenient.

Regarding the food:

Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.

Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.

King Salmon: Quite tender.

Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.

Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.

Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.“

“Came here for the haiti vs brasil it was such a great and intense atmosphere the crowd is a on the older side and they have passion it felt like i was right at home back on the block before genterfication came. The bartenders are sweet and the drinks a good price! I reccomded this spot!!!!“

“It has been a couple of years I have not been using the Delta lounges, not sure if it is just La Guardia, or all of them but the food is now very very good, fresh and with the quality of a restaurant, I had worst food in a lot of good places. I am very impressed, great work to all involved (and the Delta staff is super nice but that was always the case)“

She was a great server and went above and beyond taking my wife and I birthday pics. That elevated our experience in so many ways. The vibe and decor made the pictures standout. “This was my best ever Business Lounge experience in the U.S. Lots of seating options, including the Bridge Bar at the back, all light & airy. Plenty of food options, some cooked to order, and great drinks selection, including cocktails. Unlike most airport lounges in the U.S., everything was free of charge - no limit on alcoholic beverages, nor charges for premium brands.

When I’m traveling on my own, I always try to sit at the bar and chat with other guests. The bartender, MD, does a great job. Nothing is too much trouble, and great service comes with a smile. Thanks, MD, for making my extended stay so enjoyable.“

“This bar is amazing and is one of my favorites in the neighborhood. They have fantastic Happy Hour deals ($10 cocktails and $1 oysters). The oysters are huge and fresh.

Also wanted to give a huge shout out to the jazz band on Sundays. They’re incredible musicians and really elevate the experience.

Felicia, the manager was hospitable, beautiful and extremely accommodating to our guest. And she did it all with that pretty smile. One of the dishes did take a bit long but it easily could have been the dish itself or the timing and wasn't enough to detract from 5 stars“
