“I’m honestly obsessed with these cookies. They are incredibly delicious and so appetizing. What I love the most is that I’m usually not into sweets at all, but these are just perfect.

They’re not overly sweet — just the right balance. The almond flavor is so rich and comforting, and the cherry adds this slight sour touch that makes everything come together beautifully. It’s such an amazing combination.

“This place is wonderful that I stumbled upon it a couple months ago and I have been coming back weekly ever since. I have yet to have a drink I didn’t like here and the same goes for their desserts.

The cinnamon rolls? So sweet and indulgent, they come in packs of two so it’s perfect for those who wanna share an order.

The croissants? Buttery, flaky, everything you want in a croissant is how they make it here. Plus they have different fillings if you don’t want a plain croissant.

The desserts? They are RICH. I can buy one and have it in the fridge for two or three days, all you need is a spoon or two and you’re good to go. Even buying one of the bite sized ones instead is what I tend to do sometimes because all you need is one bite and you’re good. Plus the bite sizes have the different flavors as well, they did some cereal flavors recently and it was AMAZING!

Also the staff are so nice and polite. I have a mom with diabetes who comes here and they constantly warn her if something is too sweet and have her taste her drinks to see what they can add for her. They remember the little things and that makes it easier to converse with them.“

I ordered my daughter’s 8th birthday cake ( a Calico critters theme)from this bakery and the whole experience was very stress free. I love how they made it feels like I hired a personal baker. They communication and attention to every details exceeded my expectations for a small bakery. My daughter was very happy, not only with the design of the cake but also the taste. She is a very picky eater! Our cake was all chocolate with a chocolate ganache filling and you can just taste the richness and know that it is made with good ingredients. “Maria’s Sans Rival cake lives up to the meaning of its name, undoubtedly unrivaled. It was made of sheets of chewy meringue loaded with crunchy cashew nuts, alternating with thick layers of “melt-in-your mouth” buttercream. Glad it was not too sweet that I was able to enjoy large servings of this delightful dessert. Great with coffee or tea.“

Ordered a delicious egg sandwich on a flaky, buttery, sinfully good biscuit, plus a few other items including the dark chocolate vegan sorbet, a chocolate chip cookie and blueberry citrus donut. Do not sleep on the seasonal donuts ... the blueberry was incredible! And do not let the vegan in the sorbet fool you - as a chocolate lover, it was rich, decadent, everything you want and more.

I've lived in the neighborhood for a decade and didn't realize Sugar Butter Chocolate offered retail service. I wish I had known a lot sooner because everything was so, so good. Highly recommend stopping in for a sweet treat, wonderful, friendly service and making this your go-to bakery in Crown Heights!“

“Man… this is one of the best businesses in existence. I’ve gotten various cakes from them over the years , and every single time they have been consistently delicious, rich, and exuberant. The tres leches is not too sweet, and the frosting complements the cake as well. It’s overall a very well rounded cake.

The service is spectacular as well — they can prepare an order for you in no time, and will decorate it and ensure that it is beautiful. All the while being as friendly as possible.

And the price, is more than fair.

“As a dog mom, I normally avoid taking my dog inside restaurants or places serving food out of respect for others. Usually, I leave him by the door or quickly put my head inside to place my order.
