“I visited this location for the first time to try out their food. I ordered a small vegetable fried rice and it was quite tasty. The gentleman who prepared the food and took my payment was very nice and appreciative of my business. I will definitely be back to try some other dishes.“

“Many Chinese take out places have declined in the Danbury/Brewster area, but Moon Star has remained consistent in turning out great food!
Whenever I call, the nice woman who answers is friendly, calls me by name, and demonstrates her appreciation for my business.
Yesterday afternoon, 2/13/25, I placed a big order: Wonton soup, pork fried rice, bbq spare ribs, steamed dumplings sesame chicken, and chicken with broccoli. Everything was delicious, cooked freshly, and portions were generous. Some places cut corners by giving less chicken, but Moon Star puts plenty of chicken in the meals.
I was allowed to take a 2-liter bottle of soda for free, and to our surprise, there was a HUGE portion of freshly-made fried dough (my wife's favorite!)

“This place is both amazing and delicious! We had a variety of dishes liek Szechuan dumplings, curry noodles, shrimp tempura, soup, crunchy spicy sushi, etc. ALL WERE AMAZING!! “This is by far the best Chinese takeout you will find in probably the whole New York. That includes the city. I've had so much Chinese food across NYC and a lot of them sadly fell off. Peking Garden in Brewster has held their ground for many years. The consistency of their food, and the pride they take in ownership is why they are #1. They offer menu items that you cant get anywhere else in the whole county, and the flavor is always the best. They serve the freshest vegetables and use the best ingredients to make their dishes really stand out. When I get Peking Garden I have to literally force myself to stop because it's so good that even when I'm full I just want another bite, and another bite lol.“

“I ordered the pork fried rice and boneless pork ribs and they were both very good, only waited about 10 minutes for them to make my order, the service was great and polite, place was very clean with a couple of tables for anyone who wanted to eat in.“

Our food including soup was exemplary - tasty, not salty and most importantly, fresh! Many thanks and we surely have a new go to for Chinese food.

“Ordered togo, but ate while waiting for my ride. The food was fresh and delicious. Lots of flavor and not too greasy. Got chicken and brocolli in brown sauce, and it was generously coated.

The people were very nice and happy to make accommodations. The place is has tables to sit and eat. Their little decorations are cute.

“This downtown Chinese restaurant has a quick inexpensive buffet or you can order from the take out menu. We have had both while we visited Danbury, CT. The buffet is fresh and we enjoyed the chicken and broccoli, the veggie lo mein, and the string beans. It is an all you can eat buffet for a flat fee. We ordered won ton soup for lunch one day. A pint of soup contained four big wontons in a tasty broth. Dark and kind of dreary interior, but just sit by the windows so if it bothers you.“

“Nice local spot offering traditional Chinese menu. We ordered Pork Fried Dumplings, and these were flavorful and crisp, as were the Egg Rolls. Our entrees were the Hunan Special, a spicy dish of jumbo shrimp, crab meat, chicken, pork, black mushrooms, and vegetables, and the Happy Family with similar ingredients minus the spicy kick. Both were prepared well and fresh. We opted to dine in, and the tables were clean and well lit.“
