“10/5 stars if I could! Cause even though I’m in the city every week, I save my pizza cravings for this spot! This particular Amore location makes the greatest Nonna and Margherita pizza ever. My parents and husband cannot get enough either. Amore is a weekly thing. Get the personal or large pan of either pie, made fresh, and their Caesar salad or spinach and garlic, and a seat outside on a nice night. Their pizza drips with this golden olive oil, a little salt, fresh tomatoes, and divine cheese. I cannot get enough and come here weekly! The best! And we adore the people who work here, too.

“Gisellas has been our favorite go to Italian restaurant in DANBURY since it opened. Food is always delicious and consistent and the wait staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Unfortunately last night we had a different experience the moment we walked in the door. Hostess was very unfriendly and dismissive, no eye contact and acted like she was doing us a favor seating us! Thankfully, like always, the rest of our dining experience was amazing!“

“A breath of fresh air! I frequented this restaurant as a child and still remember getting glass coke bottles and eating a slice of pizza with my mom. I thought I would pop in and see if it bared the same resemblance or if it was all different. To my surprise it was the same lovely place I had visited 20 years ago as a kid when I would walk up Lake ave after school. They said they just hit 30 years and it's the same owners. So many places in CT treat you like you're a burden when you walk in. I walked in not knowing if we would have lunch there because it's a smaller restaurant and I have two kids. I expected to get some sort of attitude or confused look from the staff but right away I was greeted and the woman up front was eager to help me. I explained my situation and she right away asked her family who were having a meeting at the table if they could move to the back so that my family could come have dinner. She set up two tables for us and the whole staff was friendly and patient with my wild boys. My boys began fighting over an apple juice and one gentleman was kind enough to give me another on the house. The gentleman making the pizza was kind and courteous. You really don't find places like this anymore.. everyone is in a rush, they just want to get paid and get you out, but not this place. It's a traditional family style restaurant. I left feeling so happy with finally not feeling like it was an inconvenience to serve me as I often find now'er days when we're out spending money. They were happy to have us and if we are in the area again we will go back! Thank you guys so much! <3“

“The best, my favorite, pizza joint on Mill Plain Rd, on the Westside, in Danbury! The crust is thin, has that slight crunch, folds easily to cradle the abundance of toppings. Oh, and the meat lover's version, wow! Full-size toppings (hubby & son raved about it)....and my fave, the veggie...spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, garlic, peppers, onions -LOADED & DELICIOUS! But, you cannot go wrong with a plain cheese either... Not greasy, perfect balance of cheese to sauce. My dad's favorite pizza spot, too... and no loss of memory makes him forget how to get there!“

“Got a half NY cheese and half Margherita. Margherita was the best I've ever had, NY cheese was up there too but wouldn't call it best ever. You're gonna have a great pizza if you order from here. I also like the simple atmosphere for sit down - it's a shared seeting area with a few other restaurants and the pizza was served on the cooking tray with paper plates. “First off, it’s a family run business. Secondly, the front door has every sticker you can think of, very creative way to show who goes to this restaurant, from across the nation. The food here, is superb! I always order via Uber eats pickup, and I always get the grandma pizza. Great selection of toppings! I will say it is a bit expensive, but you get the best pizza in new Canaan! The employees there are super polite and very kind, and the wait time is not as long, and you could walk around town to wait for your food! I have come here multiple times always getting the grandma’s pizza and also switching it up by adding some wings. Great food, and great experience here. Highly recommend it, family friendly, great location, and great service.

Parking: There’s a small amount of spaces on the side of the restaurant, and street parking. I usually park at the parking lot next to the restaurant.

Kid-friendliness: Employees at the restaurant are super nice! Great service, and they are super friendly. Great place to hang outside while waiting for your food!“

“We had multiple events at the Watershed hotel and Siena Norwalk (part of hotel) during the weekend of June 13 - June 15 2025, all associated with my daughter’s wedding. Brandon specifically, but also his entire team, were absolutely amazing with incredible customer service. On Friday, we had a large group of 75+/- at the rooftop patio/bar. Even with the rain threatening, Brandon was patient and waited until last minute before we were able to make a decision to have it outside. It all worked out great thanks to him and team. On Saturday, the team hosted 100+ people at Siena and the bartenders kept all happy with quick service and the served pizzas kept all nice and full. Finally, Brandon and team assisted with a great breakfast set-up. Anything that popped up over the weekend was handled professionally and easily by the team. Highly recommend Siena and the Watershed for any events with many people. Great attention to detail and communication was perfect.“

“I had a group of 15 people for my husband’s 60th birthday. We had a private room, the staff friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious! The portions were huge, everyone took home leftovers, plenty of food for two meals. Very reasonably priced! Highly recommend.“

“Just left a crazy Thursday night at IL Forno. What a fun and enjoyable evening we had. We walked in with no reservations and the manager snuck us right in and we even got to the listen to an amazing singer. We have been here a few times, this was by far the most fun we had. Everyone was laughing. The staff which seems to be plenty was having a good time. The manager and Owners kept walking around and making sure all was good and everyone was happy. Thank you for restoring our fun Thursday evening with no COVID fears.“

John, the owner - a extremely friendly and kind man who knows all his regulars by name and probably has hundreds of interesting conversations with customers a day - from each of which he will likely retain a few small details and tidbits of info. The two cooks / workers - two exquisitely hard working men who provide top quality food and service. Despite their lack of any English besides the essentials, they remember many of their regular customers and their favorite meals. And maybe most important, the food - tasty and affordable. Sometimes the owner will even give discounts or free small items to his regulars as a token of appreciation of sorts.
