Most recently, Perry and his staff were able to accommodate a group of 9 for a birthday celebration - when the kid wants Famous, you get Famous. The staff had a large table set up and reserved (on a Saturday night) and our pizzas literally came out of the oven as we walked in the restaurant! We were checked on frequently and well taken care of. Another reason why Famous is truly the best in town!“

“Food is always amazing, and I will never stop going there, but one thing confuses me. Every time I order a gluten free meal for takeout, there is a giant hunk of bread in the bag. With the gluten free meal. After calling and indicating a gluten allergy. So my wife has to remove the bread and clean the container before I can eat. It's worth the trouble, but it seems like a no-brainer that when someone orders gluten free, there shouldn't be bread in the bag.“

I have to meet your driver 3 stories down at the front door because they will not come in the building to deliver/ your place is the restaurant in town that has this ridiculous idea of how to do business! “Just left a crazy Thursday night at IL Forno. What a fun and enjoyable evening we had. We walked in with no reservations and the manager snuck us right in and we even got to the listen to an amazing singer. We have been here a few times, this was by far the most fun we had. Even at times and days of the week when you’d think they wouldn’t be that busy, it seems like there is always something that they are running out of here. The place was opened by Neapolitan immigrants Giuseppe and Annunziata Colella, and it remains in the family's hands under their son Lorenzo. There is no design concept at work here, no curated atmosphere — only five decades of unbroken craft, the kind that quietly earns a town's loyalty rather than announcing itself for it.

The pie itself is worth the detour. I arrived expecting the familiar New York fold — thin, pliant, gone in two bites. Joe's builds something with more conviction: a thicker crust that holds its shape under its own weight, crisped to a snap that suggests coal even where none is used. It is the mark of a kitchen that has learned to earn its char through patience rather than equipment — closer in spirit to the heavier hand of a Bronx pizzeria than the delicate fold of a downtown slice shop.

The proof of a place done right is simple: I don't wait for the drive home. A slice or two disappears standing at the counter, still too hot to be sensible, before the rest of the pie ever reaches the car.

Verdict: Five stars, without hesitation. The hours are inconvenient by design, or perhaps by nature — either way, it's part of the charm. Catch it open, eat standing up, and take the rest with you. This is what a neighborhood pizzeria is meant to be.“

“This phenomenal pizza shoppe is located inside the Danbury fair mall food court on the upper floor; near the restrooms and JcPenny’s side entrance. The pizza is spectacular and can be made fresh to order. The menu is on nice TV displays— which are very easy to read.
The pizza selection makes the whole food court smell delicious; I could eat pizza from this place everyday for the rest of my life if I had to! They’re even located in the Stamford mall as well.
The staff is extremely attentive and friendly, as well as hard working and down to earth. The selection of food is very vast and the presentation of the choices is executed exceptionally well! I always enjoy a great garden salad with either balsamic vinaigrette dressing or my new favorite the creamy Italian dressing which is pure heaven.
The selection at the food court in Danbury is limited— however one thing is clear, Papa G’s pizza is an amazing choice for fine dining. If you choose to visit the Danbury fair mall or to order food for take out this is the spot that shines above the rest!!“
