“I’m not too familiar with African food, but I tasted food from other spots. This restaurant food is so tasty I almost bite off 5 of my fingers. The food always put me to sleep , I am impressed that it’s a Black owned business. I’ve also been in the restaurant for after hour events Live Dj , the Drinks are extremely strong and I wouldn’t have it no other. I always stop by for good quality Nigerian Food. This place introduced me to Nigerian cuisine.

“I had the most phenomenal dining experience at Kings Pride, a Nigerian restaurant in Jersey City. The exceptional customer service by the owner, Veronica, truly made it stand out. Veronica went above and beyond to bring the essence of Nigerian cuisine to our table, even taking us behind the scenes to demonstrate the traditional preparation of the dishes. Her passion for sharing the culture and flavors of Nigeria was truly inspiring. The Jollof rice with stewed goat was an absolute standout, bursting with rich, aromatic flavors that left a lasting impression. The Ogbono soup was a true staple of Nigerian cuisine and paired perfectly with a side of fufu. The classic homemade Zobo drink was a refreshing and delightful complement to the meal. Veronica's warm hospitality and her dedication to showcasing the authenticity and rich cultural heritage of Nigerian cuisine made our experience truly memorable. Kings Pride is more than just a restaurant; it's a place that brings people together through the love for great food and the celebration of Nigerian traditions. I highly recommend Kings Pride as a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic and enriching culinary experience. Veronica's commitment to preserving and sharing the intricacies of Nigerian cuisine deserves the utmost support to keep this remarkable restaurant thriving.“

“I’m from NY and recently moved to NJ. Where I live in NJ there’s not much African stores so I normally just go to NY when I need something. Today I was in the union area to pick up something from Lowe’s and decided to looked up African stores near me and came across this store. The store is neat, clean, and very organized. There’s a broad selection and was able to find what I was looking for. Also they provided excellent customer service.“

“Staff polite, served your meal right at the table. The place was well lit, spacious and clean, same for the bathroom very clean.
Parking: Maybe on the inside streets you’d have better luck but on the main road it wasn’t very easy per se“

“Craving Naija food so bad on my birthday today, I decided to find a place to order on my way back from my trip. I found this place, since it was the only one open. I ordered online, choosing the option to pay when I came to the place. Getting there, I met a pleasant lady who barely understood or spoke English. Somehow we communicated, and I realized that my online order was not valid, as she didn't get it. With minimal use of the menu, I told her what I wanted. The food took over 15mins as she had predicted. The taste of the food however didn't disappoint. I was pretty impressed by that, but everything else was just ..
And the picture of the egg roll is misleading.“
