I rarely, if ever, leave reviews and I post this one reluctantly. I like Eggers and I love Snug Harbor - but I paid $88 for 2 boxed apple juices, two scoops of ice cream, and a tea at a dirty table in a tent. The staff was pleasant, though.

Egger's Ice Cream Parlor at Snug Harbor is a charming little spot in an old house. It serves Staten Island's oldest homemade ice cream, which is rich, creamy, and smooth. The pistachio has a classic nutty flavor, and the chocolate mint chip is super refreshing. The banana flavor is excellent, and you can really taste the difference. They also serve hot/iced coffees, teas, and homemade baked cookies and brownies. The workers are amazing and attentive, helping customers pick the best flavor. The portions are generous, with a lot of ice cream in the cup and plenty of topping. The space is clean and perfect for a refreshing treat on a warm day. It is a simple, nostalgic ice cream parlor that makes for a nice stop while wandering the grounds of Snug Harbor. Definitely worth grabbing a scoop (or two).
