“I had my husband's 40th birthday at Shanahan's and everything was amazing. Deana was great to work with in terms of setting up the party and planning the menu. She was super helpful and answered all my questions throughout the process. The day of the party the space was set up and ready when I got there and Deana helped me put out the decorations and balloons before the guests arrived. Deana and her staff were friendly and attentive the entire time during the party. The food was delicious and plentiful for the party size. I would highly recommend having a party here. It was such a great evening and everyone enjoyed themselves.“
“Food and atmosphere was great. Service was bad, the waitress asked us if it was out first time, we answered yes. She then tells us that its fine, shell give us more time and if we have questions let her know. We finish our drinks and she never came back to check if we needed refills, we had to get another waitress attention. We waited awhile after finishing our meal for the bill, almost as if we had been forgotten about. When she finally came over to process the payment, she handed the card machine with the tip already set to 25% and told us "just hit accept and proceed and your good". Besides the poor service the food was excellent.“
“The food we got was delicious. My wife had the cauliflower crust flatbread, which was a little sweeter than she expected because of the jam on it, but still very good, and I had the fish and chips. The dunks were also very good and the ambiance was a lot of fun. We sat at the high tops in the bar which is more of the loud and a lot going on seeing...because it's a bar of course which is what we wanted that night, however there were much much quieter and low key tables in the back of the restaurant for the sit down eating experience. This one is now added to our regular list of places to go.“
“We are long time patrons of this restaurant. Owners and management has changed over the years but the staff has stayed and true to their craft. Tonight we had a party of 16 and were treated like family. Not one missed step even with another large party and and a full house.“

“Seating area has shade, but not much elsewhere. Food is somewhat pricey given the fact that it's on the beach. Outdoor bar. You can only drink in the designated areas because of New York State laws. Excellent for laying on the beach and watching sunsets (Note: Long Island North Shore is somewhat rocky).Another side note: Last time I was here the bar area, they had somewhat of a bee issue. Apparently they've discovered that there are sugars and protein to be had, so they come around. No one was stung last I saw.“

“We have a tradition of coming here for st pattys day because my hubby does not eat red meat. He always getfs his turkey burger and is happy. I was estatic to see fried pickles on the menu. I got the pickles, seafood bisque, caesar salad and a corned beef sandwich. EVERYTHING was fresh, came out hot and was delicious. It can get loud but it was st pattys day after all. Try it, you will go back.UPDATE 3/17/2020 had to get our feast to go. My corned beef dinner was the best EVER. Hubby's Turkey burger was perfect. Miss our fireside table today.UPDATD coming here is also our New Year's Eve tradition. We do a late lunch, early dinner. Dinner choices are plenty and delicious. Oh yeah and a pretzel. Each year is better than the last. I got onion soup, a shrimp cocktail, sm Greek salad and fish n chips (hey it's a last meal after all!) Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The food came out SUPER HOT and PERFECT. PATTY'S 2024 husband got his chicken and I got a small Greek salad and the corned beef platter and a non alcoholic bloody Mary. Staff is always pleasant and keep in touch with you. Food came out hot and plentiful. Oh yes perfectly cooked and delicious. We come here for major holidays and person events. Don't intend to change as they are all the BEST.“
