Salt Restaurant and Bar Reviews
Restaurant in the lobby of the hotel made on convenient to get dinner after a long day. There is also a bar. The bartender/waitress was a rockstar. She was the only one serving and bartending to a very full restaurant on a Saturday night. The food was very good as well. We had the bolognese and cheeseburger.
I go to Syracuse Law School and I’ve been in town for residencies twice now. Came here last year for dinner and brunch and came again this year. Always always always a positive experience. The servers are very nice. The food tastes like it was made with love. If you’re ever around the University and are looking for a sit in classic American cuisine with great, warm people, that appear to love their job, I highly recommend this place. Don’t leave Syracuse without coming here.
We had their Mother's Day Brunch buffet, it was very good. The staff was friendly and did a great job.
A decent buffet including prime rib and omelettes and so much more, setup very nicely in a large attractive dining room.

Salt Restaurant and Bar offers a pleasant dining experience with delicious food, including breakfast favorites like the flavorful home fries and tasty omelets and benedicts. The restaurant has hosted events like a Mother's Day Brunch buffet, which received praise for its friendly staff and good setup in a large dining room. However, some customers have reported issues with the quality of certain meals, such as tough turkey and poorly dressed salads during a Thanksgiving buffet, indicating inconsistency in the food offerings. While the service is generally attentive and friendly, there have been mentions of slow service and cleanliness concerns. The atmosphere can vary; while some diners have enjoyed the relaxing setting, others have noted a shift towards a more typical hotel restaurant feel after recent remodeling, with muted decor and bright lighting. Nonetheless, the restaurant remains a convenient spot with parking near campus, and the prices are considered reasonable.
