“I take my family to this lovely spot from time to time! This is the best place to pass a nice evening. I visit this spot regularly. The cooking is very good, the crew is professional and the rates are reasonable. I like meeting in this spot for a tasty lunch.“

“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!“

“Had our second meal there tonight—even better than the first. Flavors are complex and delicious, and there is clearly great care taken with each dish. Recommended dishes: crispy cucumber, lobster with ginger and scallion (a special tonight—outstanding) and shredded pork with garlic sauce. Our new favorite Chinese restaurant in Westchester. Can’t wait to return.“

“I adore On’s. It’s really good Chinese takeout, reasonably priced, and large portions. Been a customer for six years now. It’s cash only. The food is always fresh and tasty. We like the chicken and broccoli, hot and sour soup, chicken with eggplant, chicken wings (yeah really), & moo shu pork. Would be really sad if they ever closed down.“

“Not sure if new owners or what, but I ordered from here tonight because my usual place is closed on Tuesdays. Stopped ordering from here years ago because they just weren't good any longer. But I gotta say, they have excellent food now! I will definitely order from them again now 👍🏼👍🏼“

“I have been here many, many times over the years, and it has been consistantly good. Even though it's only a take out place, that only accepts cash, I never had any issues whatsoever. I tried other Chinese takeout places around, and by far this is the best place around! The only problem is that you have to wait about 30 minutes, which is due to the popularity of the place. Other than the long wait time, it's worth the wait.“

“items i ordered were slightly better than every other chinese place ive been. general tso chicken had a slight pineapple flavor, hinting a tang-soo-yook (for those korean) profile. veg lo mein tasted exactly how it was supposed to. even the wonton soup had this extra egg/chicken umami to it. added bonus... the mom (i assume owner) and little daughter (just hanging out there) were very welcoming and hospitable to me/wife/my 3 yr-old. perhaps this place deserves 4 - 4.5 since its not like food was anywhere close to Michelin Star level - but i rate as 5 in context of chinese take outs.“

“Extremely delicious and authentic Chinese food. As a white person who grew up in Fuzhou, China, this place instantly reminded me of my hometown. The flavors dance on my tongue like a beautiful ballet and my mouth is enveloped in heavenly textures. I seriously recommend this to EVERYONE. As someone who is currently living in Flushing, Queens, I drive to here every week with my wife and two kids. One time my kid didn't like the water the restaurant served, so of course I had to use the kung fu I learned to discipline them. Anyhow, this has to be the best restaurant on Earth. Give this restaurant a try and you won't regret it.“

“Probably the Best (Taste Wise) and Reasonably Priced Chinese Restaurant in Port Chester NY! If there is any Setback, it's the Limited Parking as there are only Nine Parking Spaces for Seven Businesses! However, there is Ample Street Parking! There is Limited Seating as the Restaurant is not very big! However, the Very Tasty and Affordably Priced Food more than makes up for these Minor Setbacks!“

“I discovered this Chinese restaurant one day when I was in Port chester doing some shopping and going to the movies. I've been here a number of times now. It's along Westchester Avenue where there is a selection of various cuisines. The food is delicious and it's not greasy. I love the rice, its bright yellow and full of flavor. The chicken used in the sesame and general tso are fried just right and not too hard. I personally don't eat Chinese all the time and when I do I usually stand outdoors while my food cooks because you can smell the heavy grease inside and down the street. But at Panda I'm able to stand inside to wait for my food because it doesn't smell. This is a cash only place so make sure you have plenty. The man behind the counter is nice and he speaks Spanish which is nice for the customers that visit. Its not a place really to stay long and eat because there's 4 tables. I take my food to go. They also do not deliver.
Vegetarian options: They have vegetables only dishes too“

“Not bad. Was pleasantly surprised. I had the egg drop soup, shrimp egg roll, and Beef with Broccoli. All were pretty tasty. Beef could have been a bit more tender, but taste was good. Portions were pretty good size. They only do takeout; no seating available. If you want decent traditional American Chinese Food quickly, then give this place a shot.“

“Cool venue, but the food is not 5 stars, except for the Roasted Hen of the Woods and the Wild Mushroom Slippery Noodle (outstanding). For example, the Fried Chicken Dumplings are VERY fried, creating a hard crust that overwhelms whatever little stuffing there is. The Smoked Salmon Fried Rice, was meh, with just enough salmon bits to call the dish "salmon." The braised duck Bao had bits of bone in the meat. It's a cool venue, but based on reviews, I had higher expectations.Four other things need addressing. $0.50 added to each dish and mentioned on the menu, about using that money for "cooks and porters." That should be a management decision and does not have to shared with diners. It's not for the money...it's a distraction to the experience of dining out. The alcoholic drinks are about $12 (way too high) and there are no ice tea refills, so I ended up paying $15 for 3 glasses of ice tea. The service is too fast, clearing dishes the moment you are done and removing dishes of other diners while one diner is still eating. That creates a sense of stress. Finally, there is no signage on the property as to where the restaurant is, so many, wonder about looking for it.“

“Not the best Chinese food I have ever had. It was good enough for the price, and having some seating was nice. The staff was friendly, it was clean. The fry oil was a little past its prime, making the egg roll a bit off. We left satisfied and fueled up for an afternoon “

“Nice local spot offering traditional Chinese menu. We ordered Pork Fried Dumplings, and these were flavorful and crisp, as were the Egg Rolls. Our entrees were the Hunan Special, a spicy dish of jumbo shrimp, crab meat, chicken, pork, black mushrooms, and vegetables, and the Happy Family with similar ingredients minus the spicy kick. Both were prepared well and fresh. We opted to dine in, and the tables were clean and well lit.“

“The food is decent. We especially like the egg rolls. 99% of the time we stop in to order our food and wait for it. I don't understand why the rice and entree is rarely hot. Most of the time the food is warm. We have heated the food up before eating it. We live less than 5 minutes away.“

“I've been doing take out dinner combo at 6:45 pm. Ordering online 30 minutes before pickup. Always ready, always hot. Need to get the utensils and napkins there - they don't automatically put them in the bag (which is good. You just have to know).“

“David Chens has become a mainstay in the area. It's been around for over 30 years and it's some of the best Chinese in the area. Food is great. Service is quick if not a bit curmudgeonly and it has a great ambience. They should clean the fish tanks though!Try the pork and shrimp dumplings!“

“The location was perfect as we traveled from Yonkers. The ambience was on point. The lighting was perfect as it was dark enough to feel intimate, but also bright enough to see your food and the person across from you. The servers and the waiters were very attentive and they made us feel like we were regulars. We will definitely be coming back with family and friends.
Parking: there was an ample amount of metered parking“

“With all due respect, it is Not easy finding good Chinese food in this area - I don't need great, just good. I recently found D.King and am very glad!My order was promptly delivered and wonderfully tasty. There are several places nearby with higher ratings that are not good at all and have gotten worse after C-19.“

“It’s a bit unorthodox, but it’s not a bad place. It is a solid four star Asian cuisine takeout restaurant. Nothing more nothing less. I believe now they offer Thai cuisine, which makes it that much more bizarre. They should put more focus on their rice, which is actually really really good! :-)“

“Fairfield County Connecticut does Not have any mockmeat chinese takeout menu (the closest is New Asia- Hartford Ct which has similar mockmeat takeout offerings as this & is cheaper) so bonus points for just filling a need. Unlike other restaurants, China Harden-Rye had a whole veg/vegan menu (not just 2 lame tofu offerings like most restaurants offer) The mockmeat dishes such as sesame chikn, general tsaos, orange chikn were those fried flat, round nuggets with sauce which is OK for takeout but I can take nuggets & toss with sauce at home. I'm still searching for proper breaded seitan/tofu fried pieces that are big like non-vegan meals. There's no vegan sweet & sour pork or v- walnut shrimp which west coast vegan takeout has. && The menu says vegetarian but they claim it's vegan. Service was excellent as they accomodated my nut allergy by not putting nuts in kungpao chikn & assuring no nut oils in anything. V-beef & broccoli was delish however didnt taste like the meat-based dish & texture was excellent. Was expensive for takeout quality, we ate at the restaurant on plates & the serving size seemed smallish but food was pleasantly hot & crispy. they put relaxing musac on for our dining pleasure too. Will definitely return bc there's no other mockmeat chinese takeout place anywhere near fairfield county. Updated from previous review on 2025-03-10“

“I believe all the negative reviews are from people that clearly didn't grow up in WP. I've been going to Young's since I was a kid & let me say, it NEVER disappoints! They're super quick getting my order ready every time, even though my order is pretty big (for about 5-6 people). This isn't a Michelin star restaurant but the food & service is always on point!“

“Please ignore all the negative reviews of this place. The food is absolutely delicious! I’m a native Brooklynite & I’ve been living in White Plains for about 2 years and I am very picky when it comes to Chinese restaurants. But this place here reminded me of the place I grew up going to back in East New York. We got the Fried Chicken with Pork fried rice (duh) 10/10! Chicken was seasoned well and crispy too :) the Boneless Spare Ribs were my favorite! The flavor was phenomenal. I’m getting it again the next time I order which will probably be soon LOL. The Sesame Chicken too! 100/10! Don’t hesitate on placing your order, trust me, it’s good! :)“

“A literal, local mom & pop Chinese take-out. She works the phones, he does the cooking. No Asian Fusion, no elevated or deconstructed nonsense. The Chinese food items you've come to love, prepared well, with fresh ingredients by your neighbors. I've been eating here for years and years, and it's always good.“
