“Moved here from NYC and have finally found good pizza and real Italian food. The pizza has a delicious crust, not crispy enough, but properly proofed and the right amount of gluten. The sauce flavor is spot on. It is excellent pizza. The house salad is huge, fresh and has a nice mix of lettuces. We had the red pepper pesto and the pesto over linguini. The pasta is made fresh in-house, and they know how to make good sauces. The hangover cake is fantastic, it's a booze soaked pound cake and it it the perfect way to end a great meal. There is very limited seating, so call ahead to reserve a table. It reminds me of the places I grew up with in NYC.“
“If ur looking for some good Italian food in Troy N.Y. this is definitely the place to come, I had the chicken picatta and it did not disappoint, it was some flavorful I wanted to order seconds, the slice of carrot cake could feed a whole family!! I highly recommend this place!! And the prices are very decent might I add!! Thank you Verdiles, thank you!!“
“I ordered to go this time .. and it was good, but sadly it wasn't as good as it normally has been. Still love this place! The meatballs are the best!Kid-friendliness: My daughter has dined in there with us before and she personally loved it. She said she likes the lighting and all the people were so nice to her.“
“We had a great experience all the way around. Every person we interacted with was very friendly and pleasant, our waitress was fantastic and the food was great. It couldn't have been better.Parking: It's downtown Troy but I found a spot very close to the restaurant.“
“We rented the upstairs dining room for my partner's birthday - 20 people. Maeve was great helping plan (and putting up with our shifting guest list and dietary needs), Chef Jake put together an excellent tasting menu and executed it so well. Service was great, the space was perfect for the party...the night could not have gone better!“
“Wide variety of Italian American cuisine,we went on a Wednesday night which sometimes have five dollar a dozen steamed clams which is a great value.Great selection of options and fresh bread.A bit expensive but good quality food.I ordered tortellini with a red sauce and sausage, additionally ordered a small salad with a creamy Italian dressing.“
“I’ve been ordering from Inferno for a couple years since I moved to Troy and I’ve always had good experiences! I really love how they give their stuff a little homemade touch. I mentioned it was my birthday and asked for a cat on my box and they came through! Totally made my night “
“We went here tonight to celebrate my brother's birthday- his choice. The place is very small but it's comfortable. It was a busy Friday night but not once was the crowd overbearing or loud. It felt like we were all just hanging out...chilling. It was actually really awesome how it felt like that. The bartender welcomed us when he realized we were waiting for a table and the waitresses were all very genuinely friendly. Just felt like a nice little family spot you know? The food was amazing and tasted homemade and not the typical "frozen food microwaved or heated up" you find at restaurants. The pasta fagioli was to die for. So much flavor and not heavy at all. The pizza crust we had was a bit dry but the ingredients were fresh and delicious. I loved our waitress. She was truly a wonderful young lady and I'm sorry I forgot her name. Never did we feel rushed or pressured. What a new hidden gem. Thank you for a relaxing night!Parking: parking was a bit of a hassle but people snuck over to the mechanic next door or in back to park!Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant doesn't have stairs to the entrance (has handicapped parking spaces as well!) and can most likely fit a wheelchair or walker through the door- but just call ahead of time to make sure!“
“Conversation with anyone NOT from Troy:"Yes, the cheese is under the sauce. Yes, I know that's weird. Yes, the sauce is sweet... Just try it."One week later:"Red Front. The name of the place is Red Front. No I doubt they deliver to you..."“
“Love this quirky yet cozy and super-cool spot. A great thing about Troy is the old buildings there have cool nook-like spaces such as this. The wood fired wings were really good - not straight down the middle typical Buffalo wings, but very good (with top notch bleu cheese.). “Medium” had just the right amount of heat for us. Pizza was very good too. Look forward to going back. Recommend.“
