“We’ve been talking about visiting Fogwood & Fig for years. At first, we thought it was predominantly a dessert place based on their social media posts. But the more we looked into the menu, the more excited we became. I would say their specialty is burgers and sandwiches. Virtually every ingredient is made from scratch daily (except the sourdough bread, from a local farm), including impressive items like multiple types of burger patty and cheesy cashew sauce. We were so excited about their food that we went three days in a row!
Day 1: The Fogwood smoky burger was outstanding. The BLT was also delicious; we loved the smoke salted tofu. For a lighter option, we got the sunshine curry quinoa chickpea bowl. It was healthy and nutritious, although I felt the flavor profile was a bit off; it was heavy on the curry powder and weirdly sweet. The side of mac and cheese was GREAT. We loved the sauce made from sweet potatoes, carrots, and cashews (I think it was oil-free). Not heavy or creamy, just flavorful and good! For dessert, we got the lavender almond cupcake which we LOVED. It was gluten-free, although you wouldn’t guess it. It had a perfect fluffy texture and great nuanced flavor. We loved that it wasn’t made with coconut oil (just olive oil). Truly special. The vast majority of their desserts (as well as their homemade cheeses) do contain coconut oil.
Day 2: The patty melt sandwich was a big hit. Incredible flavor. The Levi Reuben served over greens (instead of on bread) was also delicious. We loved the fennel sage patty and the homemade sauerkraut. We got the kids’ PB&J as a snack which was SO good with homemade peanut butter and homemade raspberry jam. Very impressive. Lastly, we couldn’t resist getting the signature Snickers-inspired bar, which was so good it should be illegal.
Day 3: We were excited to try their daily special, the teriyaki chili rice bowl, made with homemade ginger tofu patties. It was delicious, although it could have used some greens. We tried two more of their burgers to explore the menu further, the flirty burger and the teriyaki burger, and both were great. A devastating disappointment came when, even though we walked in within 10 minutes of their opening, they had already sold out of the special dessert advertised on their Instagram, the carrot spice cupcake with pecan glaze, the only dessert they had that was coconut-free. It seems like they inexplicably only make 4-6 cupcakes per day and then don’t make more even if they sell out?! (Who does that??)
Overall, we loved the food and are so glad they exist. Major props for making so many things from scratch. We really appreciated how nothing was fried or greasy, really hard to find these days. They also deserve special mention for having top-notch service. All the employees were so kind and accommodating, and every dish came out quickly and made to perfection. The vibe of the restaurant is really peaceful and would be an equally good spot to have a quick meal or to linger all day.”

“The boterkoek is to die for! I bought a loaf of Dutch rye bread and 3 boxes of De Ruijter sprinkles for the bread! I ordered $80 worth of baked goods and chocolates & bread and spices and my family and I will DEFINITELY be coming back! We travelled 5 & 1/2 hours to come here and we will be coming back before the Summer to stock back up 🩷 This is officially my favourite Dutch bakery since the one in my home country closed down years ago when I was a little girl 🥺🩷”

“Nice coffee shop!! Sweet treats and friendly people! Great customer service.”
“We came to hear JT and the Leads play and ended up having a great meal as well. I ordered chicken strips thinking it would be 2 or 3 finger.sized strips but they were three very large strips. They were great as was my husband's putine and my guests pork dish. Very impressed with the size of each meal. I don't like beer and the other options for drinks were so-so but it is a brewery so it's to be expected. Will definitely be back, especially the next time JT/Leads are back. Oh, I also liked that we were not crammed into the dining room. I will try the outdoor area next time....it looked beautiful with the sun setting”

“Had late lunch with my sis and nephew. Fried pickles were wonderful with the chipotle dip. I had the brisket burger and they had the make your own burger. My nephew ate it all which surprised me as he is picky. I was only able to eat half of it with the fries, portion was huge.
Overall a good place to eat, will come back again.”

“Restaurant Latour is the kind of place that feels more like a special experience than just a dinner. Located inside Crystal Springs Resort, the setting alone makes the visit memorable. The views, the quiet atmosphere, and the elegant design create a relaxing environment that feels perfect for a celebration, anniversary, or a night when you simply want to enjoy something different.
What stands out most about Restaurant Latour is the attention to detail. The menu focuses on seasonal ingredients and creative modern American cuisine, where every dish is carefully prepared and presented. The tasting menu gives guests the chance to experience different flavors and techniques instead of having a typical restaurant meal. The presentation is beautiful, but the focus remains on taste and quality.
The wine program is another major highlight. With one of the most impressive wine collections in the region, the restaurant is a great choice for anyone who appreciates fine wine or wants to learn more through the recommendations of knowledgeable staff.
The service matches the level expected from a fine dining restaurant. The staff is professional, polite, and helpful when explaining the dishes or suggesting wine pairings. The atmosphere is calm and refined, making it a place where you can take your time and enjoy the full experience.
This is definitely a premium dining destination, so the price is higher than a regular restaurant, but the combination of food, atmosphere, service, and location makes it a memorable choice for a special occasion.
For first-time visitors, I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time, arriving a little early to enjoy the surroundings, and taking your time with the tasting experience. Restaurant Latour is not about a quick meal — it is about enjoying the complete dining journey.

“Every time I’ve gone there, it smells like pumpkin spice and feels like home. The son of the owner is the sweetest thing and the mother is a joy to all who meet her. They make their coffee amazing and I’d recommend this to anybody. It’s my best friend’s and I favorite coffee place and we’d go there every day in a heartbeat if we had the money. Highly recommend!! 🫶🏻🫀”

“Love Katery to go! I order a few times a month if not a few times a week and the food never disappoints! Love the daily specials, lots of yummy options. My favorite is the Greek pita or the Mexican street corn wrap special. But the Grilled Chicken BLT, Ceaser Salad, Burgers & Chicken wings on the regular menu are also amazing (just to name a few). Oh and can’t forget those shoe string fries!! The BEST!”

“This place is incredible. Friendly staff remember the names of return visitors, the whole place is very community-oriented with lots of local sports teams and other happenings being posted along the walls. Food is always fresh and quality, with large selections even extending to sides, such as the freshly made macaroni/potato salads among others. It's my go-to place for breakfast, and their lunch menu is also expansive (and of equal quality!). My biggest regret with this place is that it took me a few years into living here to try them out.”
