“Food is a bit pricey, however, the quality is totally worth it. The churrasco sandwich with those extra sauces they pack in every meal are AMAZING. On Sunday’s they include little extra breads with every order, which are freshly made and super delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough. Go try the empanadas as well! This place is very authentically Chilean.“

“Took two trips here on the same day to sample something for brunch and for lunch. For starters, the place is pretty big despite how the place looks from the entrance. The people working behind the counter were pretty cool, service was on point. For breakfast I had the Nutella Custard Croffle and a can of Celsius. The croffle was delightful for sure, pleasing to the taste buds though one small complaint...I don't think croffles are a good base for any sandwich because it was messy eating that, the croffle was kinda all over the place eating it.

Came back here for lunch after a few hours in the gym to order a Mocha Haze Power Smoothie and a Smoked Turkey Croffle. Croffle sandwiches here are delicious as a whole but they are very unstable and can leave a mess so as a note, ALWAYS ask for extra napkins. The smoothie was very good and filling too. I could see myself coming around here a couple more times, trying out as much of their expansive menu as I possibly could.“

“Expensive and Way overpriced. Tables could have been bigger. Is a cute friendly like atmosphere place. They did get us right away and the service was friendly. The waffle was pretty good with the cream cheese, whipped cream. It was satisfying. Coffee wasn’t bad but not great. Refreshers were just warm tea. Eclectic furniture and decorations. $1 for an egg and $3 for 4 strawberries that were cut so tiny, it would make you think there were more.“

“Gorgeous presentation. Got the limited cherry blossom x peach swirl. Ice cream itself is not too sweet but that parfait is 72 g of sugar all together.

Second visit: matcha and Ube ice cream on a waffle cone with sprinkled hojicha powder (available at the pickup counter). The cone is actually a lot of ice cream at once.“

“In a quest to find “REAL “ whitefish salad, I followed a friend’s suggestion and tried Cafe 17A. Amazing! This past weekend I tried several other salads- Vegetable Tuna, Chicken Salad, Egg whites and spinach, Egg salad and mushrooms and of course sliced Nova and home made cream cheeses. My guests raved! “A hidden gem in Flushing! Stopped by this cute little cafe tucked away behind some residential apartments nearly everyday on my last trip to NYC. They offer a great selection of coffee and matcha drinks. I personally loved their iced matcha Genmaicha and their spicy tuna and salmon teriyaki onigiri. The Matcha Genmaicha is my ideal morning tea, pure green in color and no additives. Onigiri’s are priced at 3.99 each and tasted very fresh. The decor is lovely inside but there is hardly any space to sit down. Service here is very fast and friendly. They also offer a punch card for returning customers.“

“I have been frequenting the Kookaburra Malverne location on and off for several years. The only downside is they close a bit early for my schedule and they only take cash. Other than that, this location is full of phenomenal humans. The customer service is unparalleled. Every single time that I can remember there that’s been a superb interaction with the baristas and the clientele. Today one is the baristas wishes a client Happy Birthday anniversary wishes and the client was so moved. Heck, I was moved. A couple of months ago I was here and heard a client place an order and received the order and said it wasn’t what she ordered. In many cases folks would get annoyed as they made what the client requested, but the barista was so kind and professional, but mostly so kind and understanding and she remade the clients order and offered the “mistaken” beverage for the client to take at no charge. It was such a great moment to witness. The energy in here is quite welcoming and positive. Our furry babies are welcome and everyone is treated with respect and kindness.

When our PTSA requested a donation for our Supermarket Bingo they didn’t hesitate for a second. 🙏🏽

This place IS A HIDDEN GEM. Not only the food is delicious, everyone here was super friendly!

I ordered Turkey melt, TUNA MELT (!!!), Chicken Caesar wrap, Roast Beef wrap, grilled cheese, and Scrambled eggs for a small bday party. Everyone loved the food and many asked me where I ordered from.

Especially the Tuna melt. Which I ordered because Susan recommended it herself!
They also have amazing cookies!

Susan's Kitchen is located in an office building, made it a little hard to find, in my opinion. My husband and I were confused whether or not we were allowed to park in the parking lot of the building.

“Good place to hang out for snacking. Crepes are nice not great, and so is their coffee. Come here for a pit stop but not as a destination. The decorations are cute and cozy but they tend to use the fan more than ac, so on hot days it can get quite warm with all the lights. This place is a self serve place, so you gotta pick up your food and clear it just like at McDonald's.“

I did notice they also had Ferrero Rocher ice cream, which I asked the young ladies to try and it was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be returning to Lynbrook just to try for ice cream here! “We visited in May 2025. I would recommend this place. We had a long layover. A local told us about this place. We walked over here with all our luggage in tow. The restaurant is inside the TWA hotel. The hotel is cool in a retro way. We were able to store our luggage under the counter. There was no wait for a table. The wait staff was super friendly. The food was really good. The pizza and salmon sushi were my favorite. Even the salad was excellent. We spent a few hours eating and drinking. Watched a wedding take place in the lobby. It was a fun experience versus sitting in the terminal. There is also a plane in the back of the hotel that they turned into a bar.“
