“My husband and I spent last weekend at River Spring Lodge with David’s Refuge. The entire experience was excellent! The room was clean, spacious, well decorated, cozy. We had dinner in our room. Chef Dave prepared a delicious meal in room and breakfast was outstanding. Carolyn was kind, warm, welcoming, and helpful. We especially loved Cuddles the dog! We would come back in a heartbeat!“

“Just had dinner and what an AMAZING experience!! Erica ,our waitress, was so accommodating and well versed in all aspects of the restaurant! Mike, part-owner , was there and came by to check on us making sure that everything was going well and that we were enjoying our meal! I have to say that the Prime Rib was the absolute largest that I have ever been served ! It was seasoned very well. My friend had the Chicken Parm and said that the HOMEMADE sauce was fantastic!! The salmon is made in a honey soy sauce that’s out of this world!!We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked our return visit! Thank you all for a great evening!!!!“

“My wife and I came across smokey's by accident, we were out for a Sunday drive, ( we live in Newstead) when hunger pains hit me. We drove around looking for any open place, came across smokey's, looked at each other and said 'why not'. Wife had Shepherds pie, I had the roast beef. Both we excellent and reasonable priced. I've read some reviews and don't care, you can't please everyone all the time. We were quite pleased and definitely WILL return, just not sure when, long drive for us. Thankyou Smokey's“

“Everyone working here was so nice and polite. I had no idea of the store hours, I walked in just a few minutes before the store and restaurant closed, they took my order and made my food and helped me get it out to my Harley. Not one person complained I ordered 5 minutes before closing. The staff and food were 10/10 I’ll be stopping back when I’m out riding!!!!“
