Union House Inn Bar • $
22-24 Hepper St, Walden

“Very laid back tavern. While they no longer serve food... which I think is a mistake because they use to make great food... the tavern and bar experience is very good. Bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. It's like Cheers... everybody knows your name. I recommend it his place if you prefer a laid back dive bar over a pretentious bar full of bully's from high schooler who for some reason have never out grown that behavior. This is a blue collar, everybody is welcome, kind of bar.“

“So delicious! The food and drinks were amazing. My family and I were visiting from Connecticut and my husband booked the wrong date by accident. The owner was so kind and made it work for our party of 5. We really appreciated the effort that was made to accommodate us. We know good food and from start to finish it was amazing. The atmosphere is very stylish and we had a great time. The next time we stay at Wildflower Auberge we will be back!!“

“This is a neighborhood bar on Main Street that serves beers & burgers. The prices are very reasonable and the burgers are huge. The fries and onion rings are outstanding as well. Friendly service from our bartender. I was told the wings are very good as well. Overall, this is a good place to stop by for a beer and a bite to eat. Cash only.“

“Very cute place. The menu has a lot of basic Mexican dishes, with some unique dishes. The shrimp tacos were great! Service was a bit slow and the waiter had a hard time understanding us. Overall a decent Mexican restaurant with good prices.“

“Good Ole country place atmosp. I've eaten here at least five times in past year. If you're going on a Friday and want the prime rib You have to Reserve The rib At least a day in advance So they know how many to cook. Very good. Perfectly COOKED. The chicken sandwich was stellar. French onion soup was great! Appetizers- trifecto bland; onion rings-big n crispy, good ; BUT my once favorite potato skins were tiny, shriveled, and dry w a bit of cheddar on top.Oh, be careful of the floor in front of the ladies room, it's sunken in.“

Preet Bar &Grill Bar & Grill • $$
1735 Little Britain Rd, Rock Tavern - 6.39 miles

“A really cool " hole in the wall!" Always an honest, no judgement, all welcome and included in whatever creative stupid fun someone always comes up with!! 21 to 80/90 age range and they all rock. Good old fun, no thought of " needing " to impress- everyone is impressive Cuz all can relax, be real and laugh. A sadly dying American institution, we're all about keeping it going as hard it's hard to find a bunch of genuine good hearted people- friends, strangers, huge variety- that hang distress, catch a buzz, have a blast.....and always make sure all get home safe. DON'T MISS CHECKING IT OUT!!! THERES HOPE FOR HUMANITY AFTER ALL“

Pat Tarsio Lanes Bars • $
173 S Plank Rd, Newburgh - 6.89 miles

“Last weekend, I took the kids (ages: 11 and 13) on a spontaneous trip to Newburgh's local bowling alley. Price was reasonable at $4 per person (it was a Monday, no school) other days, it is only $1 more per person from what I gather. To rent the shoes was approximately $2.50 per person. Customer service was especially friendly and helpful. This bowling alley was so much better than we expected. First of all, it was busy! Bowling alleys are going out of business everywhere, but Tarsio's lanes was the place to be that Monday! Every lane was in use. Even with so many people there, our wait time was less than 10 minutes. We ate while we waited; they have a counter to order a variety of foods: we got the personal pizza, chicken tenders, fries, and a few fountain sodas. Food was good. The bowling shoes were brand new, my daughter's had never been worn before! After bowling game, we made our way into the aecade. Several game options. My son loved the punching bag that calculats how hard you punch. The kids had a blast. Nice bar in a separate area for the adults. Can't think of anything negative to say.“

“Shared a wonderful meal here with a college athletic team I was transporting. The staff was friendly, took care of my passengers, and provided a hearty spread for them. I really enjoyed the chicken marsala, and the penne al la vodka. The apple crisp for dessert was delectable.“
