“We were visiting family in the surrounding area. It was our first time in the Middletown area and before we went we had the impression of it being kind of a backwoods small town without much going on. Therefore, I have to say that finding this restaurant was a really big surprise. Not only were the food and service great but it was quite authentic and not your typical Americanized Mexican food. I don’t claim to be a Mexican food expert but I have had many business trips to Mexico. The food they served was definitely freshly made. Not overly cheezed up like most other “Mexican” restaurants across the US. The lady was also very friendly.

We ordered all different flavors of their agua fresca in large cup size, and they came in these huge soup takeout containers 😄 and they tasted so good.“

Wait staff went above and beyond to accommodate us for a special evening of family and friends. I provided a small gift for my grandson and they did an amazing job of telling him how Santa Claus heard he was such a good boy and left it there for him. We were lucky to have such an experienced waiter that made our evening so memorable for our grandson..I felt prices were very good, food was awesome and served in a timely manner. “Had an amazing lunch today. The guacamole was definitely my favorite. Fresh, & flavorful. Left overs had me covered for dinner. It’s been about 15 years since I’ve been here, and the food is just as good as I remember it back then. Service was wonderful as well. I can’t wait to go back.“

“There is literally nothing bad that can be said about Ruben Jrs. Their tacos are amazing, simple, inexpensive and loaded. I have been to other taco spots around the mid Hudson area and by far Rubens is my favorite. My gf and I plan on going there for our 1 yr anniversary. Sounds crazy if you've ever been in the place, cuz it's literally a few shelves of product, a long counter for dine in and usually pretty hot, but those tacos ... Best in southern NY, if you ask me. Rubens has been featured on our Facebook and Instagram stories more times than I can count.

“Taco Bell absolutely deserves a full five stars for this visit. I don’t know if they changed the team, the management, or just had an amazing crew working today, but everything from the service to the food was on point. We stopped in for a quick bite and ended up being really impressed with how fresh everything tasted. The tacos were hot and perfectly folded, the Crunchwrap Supreme actually looked like the photos for once, and the nacho cheese was warm instead of cold or watery like some places serve it.

The staff was super friendly too. They greeted us right away, took the order without rushing, and made sure we had all of our sauces — which is a big deal because Taco Bell without sauce just isn’t the same. The wait time was surprisingly short even though they were busy, and the food came out exactly how we asked for it.

The restaurant itself looked clean, tables wiped down, and the drink machine was fully stocked. Little things like that really make the experience better. My son Rocco loved it too — he said this was the “best Taco Bell run ever,” which honestly boosted the whole moment.

Overall, fast service, fresh food, clean place, and friendly staff — easy 5 stars.“
