“Great little local ice cream shop! We stopped in on an unseasonably hot October day to get cones. Rainbow sherbet and chocolate chocolate chip both hit the spot.Good value for the cones and the ice cream was good. One thing I wish they had would be tables or benches.Kid-friendliness: A very kid friendly establishment, although there’s no customer bathroom inside or seating.“

“Amazing experience here! Ordered a cake last minute for our engagement photos… Wanted something vintagey and sweet. They went above and beyond and it looked PERFECT and tasted just as good! “One of the best wedding vendors we worked with was Chef Mike at Pure Sugar Inc. From start to finish, he was an absolute pleasure to work with and made all of our wedding cake dreams come true!!! Starting with our cake tasting at Pure Sugar, Chef Mike set up such a wonderful experience for us and each flavor we tried was better than the next! It was nearly impossible to decide. He allowed us to include multiple flavors in our cake which I was thrilled about. When it came time for our wedding, he completely outdid himself. When we asked for a certain ruffle technique to be used on our cake, he went out of his way to practice and make sure that it was exactly what we wanted, and it was!! We got SO many compliments on how stunning the cake was and then on how delicious it was. We have been to so many weddings where the cake is just blah, or no one eats it, etc. People went out of their way to eat this cake because of what a show stopper it was and because of everyone talking about it! My favorite was the lemon blueberry! Thank you Pure Sugar!!!“

“Emily did an outstanding job making cookies in the shape of sailboats for my daughter n laws baby shower. Not only did the cookies resemble the sailboat on the invitations they also tasted delicious. Emily was so helpful and answering all my questions. “Carvel ice cream cakes bring out the childhood nostalgia in me!I did not spend much time in store but the older gentleman who attended to me was super helpful. He made suggestions for best results before serving and offered to decorate the cake further for us.The cake was as I remembered and I was transported back to my childhood and savoured each mouthful.Carvel has my heart!“

Whisk not only makes delicious, moist cakes but they are absolutely stunning and priced right. I just bought my second cake from them. One in March and went back and ordered again in April. “We got our wedding cake from Angela and it was AMAZING!! I would highly recommend getting a cake from her for any occasion. We ordered some tasting cupcakes to determine which flavor combo to go with and it was so hard to choose - the flavor and texture of her cakes are outstanding! Lots of compliments and questions where we ordered it from from our guests. Also, Angela was so helpful and easy to work with.“

“Wow! Exceeded my expectations! Decided to try this bakery after I saw a cake they did for my friend. The cake was not only so beautiful but it tasted amazing ! I ordered a red velvet cake because it’s my husbands favorite . I’m not myself usually a fan of red velvet but I think I could’ve easily eaten the entire cake by myself. It was moist and sweet but not overly sweet. Perfect . I believe it was the owner helping me at the shop and she was very nice as well. Will definitely be back !“

“i normally don't leave reviews but they were so so sweet, fantastic customer service and the man who decorated the cake was very efficient and did a beautiful job. unfortunately i wasn't carrying cash on me to leave a tip, they don't take tips on card just a heads up!! so i went back to my car and grabbed whatever i had & went back in. like seriously lovely people thanks guys didn't catch ur names“

“HOLY COW! What a cake they made me for my mom’s surprise 60th Elvis Presley themed birthday party! The staff and cake decorator really know how to put a cake together. From the flavors, colors, sayings, and designs!!! YOU MUST check out sweet karma desserts if you’re ever on the island. I was amazed when I walked in there, but then when I opened my own cake!!! WWWOOOWWW. Only issue I had was the birthday girl wanted the car TAKE HOME ?? but it got eaten at the party. So I had to call back to hope and pray the cake decorator wouldn’t mind making one more pink Cadillac rice crispy car with incredible fondant work.This bakery MADE my party and I couldn’t thank them more. I mean look at this thing!!! He even added pictures from a family trip from Graceland to tie it all together. 20/10! Thank you thank you again!!!!!!“

“Vins is a great mom and pop bakery owned by the same family that owned the best ever bakery. A few years back, the son vin took over and vamped it up a little.They offer some delicious cakes, pasties, and baked goods. The seven layer and mouse cakes are our favorite.They also have some great coffee at a nice price.They have monthly specials that feature certain cakes, loafs, and coffee.Everyone who works here is super nice and helpful.Overall, it's a nice wholesome bakery to try if you're in the area.“

“The town of islip is your typical Main Street. The best part is the very popular homemade ice cream shop. You name the flavor- they have it. Even mini ice cream Sunday’s. Seating was limited, the staff was friendly and the ice cream delish. ?“

“Recently celebrated my daughter’s birthday with a custom cake. Being a Taylor Swift fan, she insisted on a Taylor Swift them and Cake Don did not disappoint. The cake was beyond my imagination. I would highly recommend Cake Don for custom cakes!“

“This was my second visit to this adorable shop. The displays are always filled with delightful treats and an amazing variety. Last time, we sampled one of each of their macarons. Perfection. From the feet on the macarons to the light but flavorful fillings, we knew we had to return for more treats. This visit the macaron shelf was filled with small individual cakes. We could not resist. We tried the carrot cake and red velvet cakes and I opted for a black and white cookie as well. Service was fast and the ladies at this shop are very amicable. I appreciate and value good service and this location is top notch. The store is clean and they have a drink station also. We will most definitely be coming back again. I just have to try the spritz cookies. I would like to perhaps get an assortment to try one of each.“
