“I have been to Mickey's several times for a quick lunch or to grab a drink with a friend, staff is always friendly and helpful. Finally made it here for dinner and it was above and beyond expectations, carbonera was perfectly done and delicious, staff was attentive as always. Only negative about Mickeys is the train tracks right next door, but it is such a minor issue it shouldn't even be taken into account!“

“My friend recommended this restaurant, so we gave it a try before heading back to Canada. They served freshly made honey cinnamon bread, it's hot and delicious. I ordered their grilled shrimp rice, served with house salad and mashed potatoes with sour cream on top. The portion was good and the food was tasty. My friends and I had good time there. I'd like to send a special thanks to the waitress who served us, she's kind and passionate, we felt really welcomed and received good service, thank you, Taylor! You are one of the most caring waitress I've ever met ❤

They even took special care of my mom seeing it was her birthday. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.“

“Our first time at The Hungry Bear today. It was busy but both waitresses acknowledged us and we were served quickly. Breakfast was good, they even brought an extra egg to our table as one of the yolks was broken. That to me was exceptional customer service and not expected. Portions are big. Friendly staff. “My wife and I stopped in while tonight while In the area on vacation. We had the Veggie Pizza and Maple chicken wings. Both of them were outstanding. The pizza was very good. Great crust homemade sauce, fresh vegetables. Nice ambience and friendly staff I would highly recommend it if you are in Chazy. We will be going back again“

“Valcour was selected because they're in one of the RV programs that shares their parking lot for overnight parking. So now I can have a beer or two and not have to be concerned about driving. Fabulous! As for the location, the historical marker on the outside of this amazing building reads, "Old Stone Barracks. This building was built in 1838. The oldest structure on the base, stands as a witness to many events significant in American military history. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places, February 18, 1971."

On a Saturday night, they were not very busy. I was immediately seated inside (air conditioning!) and a helpful waitress took my order. I spent the rest of the evening sipping beer, people watching, writing Yelp reviews. I also managed to consume some (extremely hot!) fried pickle spears.

Overnight parking was quiet enough and very level. This was a very pleasant stop and I will definitely return when I am back in Plattsburgh!“

Service was good, and the atmosphere was also good, with bar seating, indoor table seating, and outdoor (streetside) seating. I have also heard great things about this place from coworkers. I would highly recommend it for someone who wants great food, drinks, or both.“

“Moderate wait time and friendly staff around noon on a Sunday are all anyone can ask for these days but we got lucky and after an accommodation to change seating, ended up with Ian as our waiter and delicious meals for everyone. Not only was he incredibly helpful with the drink menu, his personality and jokes were epic. He is the type of employee anyone should be glad to have; between keeping guests entertained during waits and his overall friendly demeanor, he was a breath of fresh air in an ordinarily stressful dining time when places are busy.
