“the BEST breakfast spot in West Islip!!! the Nutella Oreo waffles were delicious!!! Definitely recommend it 100%, 5 stars!!! They also have locations in Amityville, East Northport, Centereach and Sayville so if closer to the other locations, go there and give these guys a visit!“

“Visiting my childhood home town from Boston. Childhood friend and I drove by Bayview Kitchen on our way home. Initially thought it was a kitchen reno store then realized it was a restaurant. Decided to try. Always up for adventure. What a WOW! Staff from entry to restraunt were warm and friendly. Love the decor sleek and so clean. Service was great. Now the important part..the food. We both had the j*** chicken tostada which was super delicious. Ingredients were so fresh.. Right amount of spice and ingredients with a nice kick. Got a chance to speak with owner and chef. They were so proud of their restaurant and looking to hear our thoughts on our meal. We told them it was extra special. They are looking to provide fresh quality soul food to the community and I would say they exceeded our expectations. Wishing them success and looking to return on my next visit to Amityville. The outside stone work decor is so beautiful. Thank you for a great food experience. Give this place a try I believe you will not be disappointed.“

“food is amazing. I love the baked oatmeal.i have never had a meal I didn't enjoy here. been frequenting the establishment 25 years already. before the expansion when Maureen was still the chef. I always celebrate here. if you get a chance check out the crumb cake and pancakes... the stuffed French toast, salads are amazing ,and if you can get the million dollar sandwich on pita with fries or Mac salad. 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋“

“What a find! When a little snow scares off lesser cafes from opening, Hometown pulls up the slack. Old school rugged mindsets and hearty meals for more than reasonable prices.I'm glad my usual breakfast stop was closed, Hometown is my new favorite!Eggs bacon toast and coffee done right. Came out fast after ordering. You cant go wrong.Fabulous service. I noted everyone knew customers names as they entered. That is a great sign. “I’m writing this review not because it’s family on my Dad’s side that owns the place, but because I have been going to this Ihop since I was a young kid in the late 1980s. Andy and Ellen are phenomenal human beings and really go out of their way to ensure their customers and staff are super happy. The food quality is always top-notch. This is not fast food despite what some people claim.

I frequent here biweekly with friends for breakfast, and I’m never disappointed.

“Very nice and attentive staff. The restaurant was also clean. I was not impressed with the food though... It was nowhere near hot when we got served, almost cold, and the food was not very good. My Sunny side eggs we're not cooked all the way, and had to be sent back! This is the third time I've come here hoping that it would be different and the food is just not good here at all.“
