“My wife and I had never been to Tarrytown before, but on a whim got a reservation for our anniversary at Bistro 12. We couldn't recommend it more! We ate the lobster bisque, calamari and a Caesar salad to start. I had the seafood risotto and my wife had the Ravioli Tartufata, both very delicious. Both the food and service were fantastic, would return in a heartbeat.“
“Joey's Sports Bar & Grill is the best bar in the New York area. Neighbors, friends, and the community get together, laugh, enjoy themselves, and listen to live music in this warm friendly atmosphere that feels like home. Food is great, drinks are great, and the service is great. Tuesday, Thursday night jams with bands and Fridays, Saturdays bands play. Joey’s has got it going on.“
“I had Portuguese and Italian food catered by Lusitania this past Sunday for my Bridal Shower and all 70 of my guests were raving about the delicious food. As always, the take out experience is just as great as dining in. Thank you thank you thank you!“
“It's the best deli in Mt. Vernon. Staff is always accommodating and the food is the best. The delivery guys are always fast and friendly. My advice is to go try it and find out for yourself. You won't be let down. Try the Pete's wrap or the chicken tacos! Amazing!“
“I had the garlic chicken which came with white rice and French fries . Absolutely delicious and flavorful for a good price. Service was good and timed as estimated . The ambiance was vintage but comfy . I'll be back to try other dishes on the menu .“
“This is literally the best Deli around this area , no competition honestly. The prices are amazing and the service is incredible. The person taking your order or ringing you up is Moe and he is super nice and courteous. Never had a problem with an order nor paying . I come here almost everyday and Im greeted daily and served as if I was the owner . Love this place for the taste and price of their food ! Really good and solid for sub $15 meals that will fill you up quickly. Perfect place for lunch and they have indoors sitting area.“
“Lincoln barbecue what can I say I'm an avid bird hunter in the Northwest and a film director and VFX supervisor in Los Angeles and have directed a lot of hip-hop music videos and felt right at home when I was in the heart of the hood in East Yonkers last night when I came across a Portuguese barbecue restaurant called Lincoln bbq. It is an amazing place the clientele mainly seemed like Portuguese. Their's a family atmosphere in which an hour to close, and I quickly saw and ordered the "Duck with blueberry sauce". Damn, these mothf*#%ers gave me one of the best duck eating experiences I've ever had, right up there next to perfectly roast Thai duck I use to get in San Francisco in the 1980s. Lincoln bbq created a perfectly roasted Portuguese style duck with blueberry sauce, with succulent mashed potatoes and spinach. I love that they're above the par, here in NYC area, but they're on a fine gourmet level and the surprise is you can find it right in the East Yonkers hood:) Try it aight!“
“The restaraunt looks small from the outside but it's huge inside. It's very well decorated with Portugal contents, which was adorable. (See pic) The servers were very professional but still remained personal with us. The ambiance inside gives off vibes like the restaurants over seas which was a nice feeling. The food... we all had different feelings in regards to the food. Personally I thought my food was delicious. I had the puree of vegetable soup as an appetizer and following I had the grilled fish. All their meals comes with fries, rice and beans; which was enough for me to share with my Gf bc it was such a huge portion. My husband and one of our bf's both had steaks and they weren't too pleased as it was filled with fat. For appetizers we also tried clams casino, and melon with prosciutto. For dessert I had rice pudding one of my favorite Portuguese desserts. I would come back.**+by the way, the owner will be closing the restaraunt in two years, retiring and moving back to Portugal. If you want to try this place come before he shuts down. ***“
“Looking for authentic Portuguese food? Allow me to recommend Docas for you...you cant go wrong with their entrees of either meats or seafood...grilled branzini is excellent...on Saturdays they have dobrada, which translates to tripe...and if you find their Osso Bucco on Sundays, you HAVE to get it...homemade desserts and great place to chat a soccer game...or just "hear" Portuguese ppl be...Portuguese“
“New ownership and staff took over around 2021...still continuing what they do best with his their roasted chicken over charcoal...the only difference vs the past is that the sides( like chips/fries and rice ) is not included...also recommend majority of their seafood dishes, and my favorite " Gambas a Mozambique ", which are huge Tiger Praws...space in limited to dine in, but majority of ppl do take out as well...staff is great and have a caipirinha as well( many flavors offered )“
“Was scared to go initially because of the reviews about it being racist.... but I went and it was great. The food, server, and atmosphere were great. They kept checking in to ensure that we were okay. With the advice that was received, we bought 1 meal and shared it, which was a smart decision cause the food was a lot. I have to say the vegetable soup was delicious and hot.“
