It seems that nearly everything is prepared to order, and as a result if coming here you should be prepared to possibly wait longer than most restaurants for your food to be ready.
I do wish there was a way for the restaurant to communicate this to avoid problems with new customers who may be expecting quicker service.“

“We got married at the Green Building last weekend and Dish is one of their preferred vendors, so when we chose them as our caterer, we knew we wouldn’t have to worry about a thing! In addition to their catering services, we used Dish’s day-of coordinating services. The food was phenomenal and people still keep raving about the chicken and waffle cones from our cocktail hour! Every single bite I had throughout the day left me satisfied with a happy belly! The entire day went as smooth as butter and everyone really enjoyed themselves! Our magical day would not have been possible without the amazing duo of Evalyn and Lauren! They were truly the best!“
“It’s been a pleasure transporting a large percentage of our limousine clients to El Caribe for their special occasions and events. As a neighboring vendor it has been a seamless experience providing services as we are conveniently located only 10 minutes away (Avenue D/Utica Ave). The valet attendant is always most helpful and courteous when directing our limousine drivers with parking. If you or someone you know is thinking about booking El Caribe as your venue for celebration we highly recommend them and if you are looking for a limousine or party bus to transport you in style and luxury we can help you as well give us a call at 718-629-2540 and we will help you with booking or providing a price quote. We have limousines that fit as small as a party of 8 to as big as a party of 35 people.“

“This spot used to be a diner and Superiority Burger totally carries the legacy forward with the paper daily specials and slices of pearl pie in the refrigerated case.
That said, the menu here is unlike any restaurant anywhere. Honestly we didn’t even really know what we were ordering but the side of cabbage, fries, yuba sandwich and panelle were mind-blowing. Super wild flavors. Service was phenomenal.

“I worked with Relish on a product launch recently and they did a fantastic job. They found clever ways to incorporate the clients brand into the catering with specialty cocktails, custom desserts, branded ice cubes – so many fun ideas to reinforce the brands presence. The food was phenomenal, everyone was talking about the menu and commenting on all the cute, branded food.

“I had arrived in NYC in the wee early morning hours. I slept in my car until shops opened up as my hotel wouldn't be ready until later that afternoon. I had never been here before and got a delicious sandwich the cashier recommended. I definitely would say for locals to stop by ^^“
“We used Certé last minute to cater a professional luncheon for a group of about 25, and the compliments from our guests were nonstop. We ordered a sandwich luncheon with vegetarian options and an assortment of drinks. It could not have been more lovely.
From the seamless coordination with Shanttel to the timely and friendly delivery by Timo, the entire experience was five-star from start to finish.

“We are full-time wedding photographers who did not have the pleasure of working at the Glen Island Harbour Club until January 2025. Winter weddings can be tough if you are not at an iconic location with extensive interiors conducive to photography meant to maximize the natural and ambient light, but in this case, it was perfect! The bridal suite was stupendous and the guys had a perfect place to get ready, too. All the areas had a lot of daylight considering it was the darkest time of the year and were elegantly furnished. The spaces all complimented the chosen scarlet red and classic tux look. We went outdoors for a bit despite the cold and windy day and loved the views of the water. Everywhere we went the staff was perfect for our couple, their family and friends, and us as vendors. We had scouted the venue beforehand, but we did not realize just how much room we’d have to work with - especially getting ready, taking spectacular shots on the staircase and in the lobby, during the ceremony even with so many guests, and for the reception with a huge dance floor. The food during cocktail hour was absolutely amazing with seemingly limitless options for everyone. The venue staff made sure we had a nice meal as well while checking in on the little things we love such as ensuring we’re set for the entrances and knew the itinerary for the reception. And again, this was our impression during the most difficult time of the year! I cannot imagine how extraordinary the property is during warm seasons, but we hope to find out soon. While this is written from the perspective of a small business owner, this is an unbiased and unsponsored review, and we appreciated the sensational first visit with hopefully many more to come. “Check out my I G lawyer.traveler.dreamer for more footage of our experience. Bodai in Midtown Manhattan offers a rare and memorable dining experience. The restaurant blends Buddhist philosophy with royal vegetarian cuisine inspired by the Qing Palace. It was my first time trying a full vegetarian tasting menu, and I was impressed by how flavorful and creative every dish was. The mushroom dishes stood out the most, especially the Stichotas japonicus with cucumber sauce, the pan-seared boletus with green millet, and the Nepal mushroom quinoa with pepper sauce. Each course felt balanced and intentional—low oil, low sugar, and focused on natural taste. Even traditional dishes like Buddha Jumps Over the Wall and zhajiang noodles were reimagined beautifully. The dessert, called “Nectar of the Core,” was light and refreshing. Dining at Bodai feels like a calm, thoughtful journey through color, texture, and flavor. If you’re looking for an elevated vegetarian meal in NYC, this is worth a visit.“
“I've used Chris now for three events and have nothing but remarkable things to say about the guy. He's easily the single most professional, efficient and all around best caterer/chef I've ever com across. From planning an intimate 20 person get together to a 4 hour, 150 person rooftop carnival, Chris can take a 30 second conversation and turn it into something beyond your wildest dreams. The man is an absolute legend and the only caterer in NYC you need to consider using. He's sharp as a tack and has a staff unlike any other ready and will to help in any and every way necessary.“
“I just got my Twins 21st Birthday this last Saturday I will say yes I do recommend it because of the delicious food , accommodation, tables set up, bartender and servers ( kind and warm), the bartender was on beyond my expectations but They need to hire another hostess who is willing to help, follow instructions and get better management floors My guests were lost sitting on any table when I approached to her at the beginning of the party with instructions she answered that she won’t need it. That is why the welcome guest part was a COMPLETE DISASTER When we were getting ready for the toast none of us got a glass so I went running to the table to serve the drinks she approached to me saying THATS TOO MUCH ALCOHOL and I looked at her saying I DO KNOW WHAT I AM DOING and my question is WTH you should ask me how I can help you or if you are an experienced hostess you will know what is that for ??? Honestly she did not deserve any tip even tho I did tip her I got extremely dissatisfied with her attitude different relatives and guests asked who is she ?? No smile extremely serious she made my guest so uncomfortable I hope she get better professionally So I will rate this place 3/5“

Bukhara took care of it all, from the equipment to the wait staff and bartenders, which was such a relief. The food was absolutely delicious, with something for everyone, and our 100 guests were all raving about it!

“On January 22, 2023 my husband and I threw an engagement party / surprise wedding at Versailles Palace. Nadia helped us plan an event that was unforgettable in one month. She was attentive and detail-oriented. Anytime I texted her or called, she responded quickly. My guests absolutely loved the event, the food and the service. She was able to help us with valet services, open bar services and any request we had. We had the most incredible time celebrating our special day with Nadia at Versailles Palace. I want to also shoutout her staff who was helping me change into my different outfits throughout the night. Marina was the most delightful person and helped me change, brought me food and water (when I forgot to eat and drink) and always asked if I needed anything. I couldn’t have asked for a better night. Nadia will help you plan your most incredible evening. She will give you recommendations on vendors and anything else you need! “This review is long overdue. However, we are glad we waited because seven (7) months later, we are STILL getting rave reviews from our friends and families about the food at our wedding! We had a VERY difficult venue that required all of our vendors to submit referrals and agree to a multitude of specific rules. Our original caterer cancelled two (2) months out from our wedding date (after a year of planning). We did not know what to do! They had already been approved and accepted by our venue. We were devastated! KRISP quickly reviewed the menu / pricing we had negotiated and budgeted with that caterer. They were SO reassuring, and offered us MORE options for a lower cost. We could not believe it! After experiencing an incredible tasting at their gorgeous venue, we were SOLD! THE FOOD IS UNREAL, seriously! When we were low on alcohol, they ran to the store to ensure that our guests would not notice any lapse! They even secured and stored our cake topper for months after our wedding! Despite coming on board with less than 2 months to prepare, KRISP navigated a VERY difficult venue, provided incredible service and kept all the stress out of our site! If you don't scoop them up while you can, your event will not be as good as it could have been.“

I’m quickly finding it to be my weekly go to. Hopefully with a little more notability, maybe so community engagement, and increased foot traffic in the warmer months, they will be able to hold down the lot. It’s a perfect location, glad to have this place in the neighborhood.“
“Once their Shabbos meals used to be 2 barbecue chickens and side salads, barley and mushrooms. $14.95. I bought four of these meals put them overnight in crockpots and fed my shul a great Sabbath meal. Inflation has made it impossible. The chicken is great and all of the prepared foods are wonderful. “I tried the jerk chicken tacos (2 for $16) at Smorgasburg WTC yesterday. So good! The chicken has a great kick and is so tender. Loved the black beans and plantain in it too--what a clever fusion dish. At first I thought it was a little pricey for two tacos, but the portions are big and it was quite filling. I'd love to try more of the menu here!“
