Right from the start, the owner, George, delivered true VIP service and unmatched attention to detail. He was incredibly enthusiastic about the job, and you could genuinely feel his passion in every single detail of the planning and execution. He cares deeply about his clients, and it sets the tone for his entire crew.

The food was absolutely superb—we have received non-stop compliments from our guests on both the exceptional quality and the beautiful presentation.

Beyond the fantastic menu, the level of service was truly unbelievable. A special shoutout to Sarah, who was phenomenal and kept the entire evening running smoothly. Her top-tier organization made everything feel effortless, allowing the hosting team to actually take a breath and enjoy the event. We also noticed a massive improvement in our bar logistics this year thanks to Manny, who did an amazing job organizing the drinks so that lines moved perfectly all night.

“Heard about this place from a friend, while driving by I saw it opened. Found out they do catering and only open on Fridays. Met the owner, Zach cool friendly dude. They only had shrimp parm hero so rolled the dice and ordered it. Glad I did because it was one of the best tasting shrimp parms I had. The bread was crisp and light, shrimp was well seasoned, cooked perfectly and sauce was excellent. Zack also threw in a doughnut and cookie, they were like crack. Definitely coming back and looking to have them cater my next work event.“

“This is ✨THE BEST✨ bagel sandwich I’ve ever had!!! I cannot emphasize enough what a picky, particular person I am, especially when it comes to food. Prior to finding Shelsky’s, I had basically given up ordering lox bagels because either the quality of salmon wasn’t up to par or the ratio of ingredients was off (WAY too much cream cheese, not enough salmon, etc.). I am a small woman, and I find that most bagel sandwiches are also way too huge to comfortably fit in my mouth lol and/or everything slips out and becomes annoying and messy to eat.

As soon as I tried a lox bagel from Shelsky’s, I new this would be the only place I could ever order one from again 🥲 Their bagels are slightly smaller than the average giant NY/NJ ones in a way that I find makes it easier to eat, perfectly chewy but also still crisp enough on the outside. Their smoked salmon is truly the best I’ve ever tasted and is as smooth as butter. The ratio of cream cheese to salmon to has been mastered, and the red onion is sliced thin enough to make Paulie from Goodfellas proud. It’s the attention to these small details that truly creates the ideal sandwich. My only wish is that they had a location in NJ where I live! As a central Jersey resident, I also appreciate them using the proper name of porkroll for their breakfast sandwich 😊

PS the manager Ethan runs a tight ship (compliment)! He is competent, charismatic, and clearly cares about what he does. I think that makes a huge difference from the top down in a food establishment. I have enjoyed chatting with him ☺“

I've tried a bunch of different things from there, and everything has been fresh, flavorful, and really good. They have so many options, so there's always something for everyone. The portions are generous, and the quality is consistently great.
The store is always clean, the staff is friendly, and it's easy to get in and out. I always leave with more than I planned because everything looks so good! If you're looking for fresh kosher prepared food that's convenient and delicious, Meal Mart is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommend!“

The waitress was quite good but when we all asked just for some plain undressed salad instead of potatoes she kept repeated that we could only sub for a vegetable. The chef came to our table at dessert time with one of his new main dish crest for us to sample and give feedback. “I ordered a poke bowl and the salmon was basically frozen. I could taste the ice as I chewed. Other than that, the food was good and the place is nice. There is never anyone at the register, and while I was waiting for my food, I witnessed several other people come in and tried to yell to the back to ask if anyone could come to the counter. I did not see anyone respond, so customers just picked up bags off the shelf and left.“

“We had our wedding at the Palm House at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, where Union Square Events is the exclusive caterer, and working with Anderson and Shelby was an absolute pleasure from start to finish.

“Zoe Deleu is a flavor magician, kitchen wizard, and an overall absolute queen. I had the absolute pleasure of having her cater our reception at Housing Works Bookstore. Fair warning - this will not be a review per se, but a love letter to Zoe and her works of umami art! So typically a bride does not want to be upstaged at her wedding, but let me tell you, the food was the star and I was NOT mad about it. I think almost every one of our 135 attendees came up to us to tell us that the food was amazing and hands down “the best food [they] have ever had at a wedding in [their] lives.” This was coming from people who are absolutely not chicken and rice people — but from people who live and eat in major cities all over the world with sophisticated palates and are VERY VERY critical about their food. I heard nothing but good things (trust me I would have heard about it if they had any criticism). Additionally, Zoe’s plating is divine, the service of her staff is impeccable and I don’t have a single point of need for development feedback. If we wanted a mix of flavors (like black sesame and green tea tarts for dessert), Zoe can accommodate that. A cajillion different allergies? Zoe can handle it. Have no idea what you want? Zoe will gently guide you towards particular choices that fit your menu and guest needs. I told you, this is a love letter, not a review. However, I think my absolute favorite part about Zoe is that she is humble, kind and treats her staff with the utmost respect. She is a lovely person who loves her craft and the craft loves her back.
