Beyond the fantastic menu, the level of service was truly unbelievable. A special shoutout to Sarah, who was phenomenal and kept the entire evening running smoothly. Her top-tier organization made everything feel effortless, allowing the hosting team to actually take a breath and enjoy the event. We also noticed a massive improvement in our bar logistics this year thanks to Manny, who did an amazing job organizing the drinks so that lines moved perfectly all night.

“Jillicious Grazing Boxes make a perfect gift. I sent one to help ease the stress of a move & they were “WOW’d” & thrilled! It is chock full of yummy surprises, all arranged beautifully, in perfect condition. There was such a generous amount of food, they could make a meal and still graze after. The meat, cheese, fruit, nuts & dried fruit were premium quality & we’re told, very delicious. It arrived in a cute huge box, with flowers & a honey dipper tied into the colorful wrapping twine. “Go-to catering kitchen for our breakfast and lunch office events, especially for last minute meetings. Delivery is always on time and the food is consistently delicious. People in the office have raved about their egg bites and potatoes for breakfast, and their sandwiches, chicken marsala, salads, and pastas for lunch. Our office is in Manhattan, and they’ve never had an issue delivering.“

“Bassett catered our wedding at 501 union in august and they were amazing! I knew there would be a lot of food but even i was surprised that there was SO much food! By the time the entrees came, some guests were staring at their plates of steak in shock. We got a lot of compliments on the food, which we thought was even better day of than in our tastings. The penne vodka was a standout as well as the pigs in a blanket and coconut chicken during cocktail hour. Frank’s team also did a great job helping move furniture around between the ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour.

Frank was excellent to work with ahead of our wedding. My advice for others is to just call to get ahold of him as email isnt always as effective. As the wedding date approached he was constantly available and spoke with our coordinator independently many times, and even told us to call his cell when he was on vacation in case we needed anything in the weeks leading up to our wedding.

Bassett was also one of the only caterers we saw that included tableware and linens which was a huge help and cost savings. Very happy we went with Frank and the team!“

“Meal Mart is one of my favorite places to pick up food when I need something quick and delicious. They have such a great selection of fresh, ready-to-eat meals, and everything always tastes homemade. It's perfect for busy days when you want a good meal without having to cook.
I've tried a bunch of different things from there, and everything has been fresh, flavorful, and really good. They have so many options, so there's always something for everyone. The portions are generous, and the quality is consistently great.
The store is always clean, the staff is friendly, and it's easy to get in and out. I always leave with more than I planned because everything looks so good! “Everything I try at The Sweet Tooth & Catering is the best thing I’ve tasted. I just got them to cater a ~20 person tailgate on a Sunday morning: portobello mushroom sandwiches, turkey meatball subs, shrimp po-boys, and sweet potato pound cake (wow). Everything was delicious, and Shakoor went above and beyond, walking me through the options beforehand and thoughtfully preparing and packing the food the day of to make sure it all traveled well. A 10/10 experience—not only because the food is exceptional, but because Shakoor and his staff are warm and genuine, and truly treat you like neighbors. Can't recommend enough!“

It was extremely difficult to narrow down the choices because EVERYTHING on the menu sounded AMAZING! He listened to everything I said, and absolutely knocked it out of the park! Everything Chef Matthew made for us was so delicious... there were NO leftovers, at all.The space is absolutely beautiful. The dining area looked amazing. There's a comfortable lounge area at the rear of the loft where my family and I were able to relax prior to dinner being served. Just as a point of information, the space is so beautiful, that we were able to have a photographer come for a photoshoot with my family throughout the space.All in all, we had a wonderful experience. Bialys are tender with flavorful onion filling. There is a pretzel bagel. A PRETZEL BAGEL. And chili crisp cream cheese! And wait, there's more: That king smoked salmon? Rich and tender, delicately smoked. Whitefish salad? Tuna salad? Far more fish than filler and perfectly delicious. Off the charts customer service, from email response to ordering to pick-up. “Zoe Deleu is a flavor magician, kitchen wizard, and an overall absolute queen. I had the absolute pleasure of having her cater our reception at Housing Works Bookstore. Fair warning - this will not be a review per se, but a love letter to Zoe and her works of umami art! So typically a bride does not want to be upstaged at her wedding, but let me tell you, the food was the star and I was NOT mad about it. I think almost every one of our 135 attendees came up to us to tell us that the food was amazing and hands down “the best food [they] have ever had at a wedding in [their] lives.” This was coming from people who are absolutely not chicken and rice people — but from people who live and eat in major cities all over the world with sophisticated palates and are VERY VERY critical about their food. I heard nothing but good things (trust me I would have heard about it if they had any criticism). Additionally, Zoe’s plating is divine, the service of her staff is impeccable and I don’t have a single point of need for development feedback. If we wanted a mix of flavors (like black sesame and green tea tarts for dessert), Zoe can accommodate that. A cajillion different allergies? Zoe can handle it. Have no idea what you want? Zoe will gently guide you towards particular choices that fit your menu and guest needs. I told you, this is a love letter, not a review. However, I think my absolute favorite part about Zoe is that she is humble, kind and treats her staff with the utmost respect. She is a lovely person who loves her craft and the craft loves her back. We order from healthy heart their catering service and our staff enjoyed it. The shrimp pasta salad was a big hit. The food portions and quality was just perfect and the quantity was great because staff members had enough to take home.

“We had our wedding at the Palm House at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, where Union Square Events is the exclusive caterer, and working with Anderson and Shelby was an absolute pleasure from start to finish.

From our very first conversation, they patiently answered all of our many questions and were so accommodating and helpful throughout the entire planning process. Nothing felt like too much to ask.

The food was a true highlight of our wedding! Our guests could not stop raving about it, especially the passed canapes during cocktail hour, which were as fun and creative as they were delicious. So many people told us it was some of the best wedding food they have ever had.

The waitress was quite good but when we all asked just for some plain undressed salad instead of potatoes she kept repeated that we could only sub for a vegetable. My associate told her that she could figure it out. Apparently she asked in the kitchen because all three plates came out with a nice fresh salad along with the steaks. Wonderful ambience. The chef came to our table at dessert time with one of his new main dish crest for us to sample and give feedback. Only one disappointment, my associate wanted the Flatiron steak that is on the menu but no longer on the menu. Restaurants must keep websites up to date. I will return soon“

“I ordered a poke bowl and the salmon was basically frozen. I could taste the ice as I chewed. Other than that, the food was good and the place is nice. There is never anyone at the register, and while I was waiting for my food, I witnessed several other people come in and tried to yell to the back to ask if anyone could come to the counter. I did not see anyone respond, so customers just picked up bags off the shelf and left.“

Walking into this place feels like stepping back into the golden days of the classic Jewish takeout stores. It has that old-fashioned, heimish vibe that reminds me of the original Meal Mart days—before everything became fancy, overcomplicated, and overpriced.

The barbecue chicken is legendary. In fact, this is the only place I know that still makes the original-style barbecue chicken the way it's supposed to taste. One bite and you're transported back years.

The cold cuts are second to none. Always fresh, sliced perfectly, and the tongue... wow. The tongue deserves its own review. Absolutely delicious and by far the best around.

Their gefilte fish is outstanding—authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. Honestly, the quality across the board is consistently excellent. Everything tastes homemade, traditional, and made with care.

I still miss the marrow bones. They used to have the best marrow bones anywhere, and for some reason they don't carry them anymore. If they ever bring them back, I may never leave.

Lipa and the entire staff are amazing. Friendly, hardworking, and always willing to help, even when the store is packed. The lines can get long at times, but that's usually because everyone else knows how good the food is too.

In a world where so many places have changed, this place has stayed true to what made it great. Real food, real people, real flavor.
