Right from the start, the owner, George, delivered true VIP service and unmatched attention to detail. He was incredibly enthusiastic about the job, and you could genuinely feel his passion in every single detail of the planning and execution. He cares deeply about his clients, and it sets the tone for his entire crew.

The food was absolutely superb—we have received non-stop compliments from our guests on both the exceptional quality and the beautiful presentation.

Beyond the fantastic menu, the level of service was truly unbelievable. A special shoutout to Sarah, who was phenomenal and kept the entire evening running smoothly. Her top-tier organization made everything feel effortless, allowing the hosting team to actually take a breath and enjoy the event. We also noticed a massive improvement in our bar logistics this year thanks to Manny, who did an amazing job organizing the drinks so that lines moved perfectly all night.

“Walked to Shelskys on a cold windy Brooklyn Friday afternoon, but when I say it was worth it....it was worth it. After about 5 min of browsing, we decided on the Tuna Salad, which is served with sliced jalapeños and a spicy shrimp paste. It's got some heat, but nothing a Mexican from Chicago cant handle! Everything you see is fresh, and you can taste it. Prices aren't cheap but sometimes you gotta treat yo self!!! 10/10!“

The waitress was quite good but when we all asked just for some plain undressed salad instead of potatoes she kept repeated that we could only sub for a vegetable. My associate told her that she could figure it out. Apparently she asked in the kitchen because all three plates came out with a nice fresh salad along with the steaks. Wonderful ambience. The chef came to our table at dessert time with one of his new main dish crest for us to sample and give feedback. Only one disappointment, my associate wanted the Flatiron steak that is on the menu but no longer on the menu. Restaurants must keep websites up to date. I will return soon“

“I ordered a poke bowl and the salmon was basically frozen. I could taste the ice as I chewed. Other than that, the food was good and the place is nice. There is never anyone at the register, and while I was waiting for my food, I witnessed several other people come in and tried to yell to the back to ask if anyone could come to the counter. I did not see anyone respond, so customers just picked up bags off the shelf and left.“

“My daughter’s wedding at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Atrium last weekend was absolute perfection! Even though the pouring rain moved the ceremony indoors, I can’t imagine how it could have been any lovelier outdoors.

I loved that once we realized wedding day rain was inevitable, we didn’t have to worry, because we knew the professionals at Union Square events had a great game plan. The way their team was able to shift cocktail hour into the hallway and use a moveable wall to provide a backdrop to the ceremony, while allowing the dining tables to be preset yet hidden, was really impressive. I was really glad that we had opted to bring in some dramatic lighting and disco ball decor (provided by Universal Light and Sound) to make the space cozier and prettier, as the Atrium can look a little bare with only overhead lighting.

We got so many compliments on all the food and beverages, from the passed apps, to the custom cocktails to the perfectly prepared beef entrees. Everything was much better than the tasting night had led us to expect, which makes sense when you consider the number of dishes they are preparing for the tasting night. Everything we tried that night was fine, but I thought the food might not be a highlight of the wedding - what a wonderful surprise to be so wrong about that! I also appreciated the bar staff’s willingness to use the custom cocktail stirrers I had made of the bride’s and groom’s heads - they were a huge hit with our guests and a fun surprise for the couple!

I really appreciated that there was a dedicated attendant for the bride and groom in their dressing room, who made sure they each got to try all the canapes and brought them water, champagne, and even a black tea when the bride needed a little caffeine. Every single staff member we interacted with was professional, kind, and extremely good at their jobs. Thank you all for making our daughter’s wedding an epic celebration!“

“Zoe Deleu is a flavor magician, kitchen wizard, and an overall absolute queen. I had the absolute pleasure of having her cater our reception at Housing Works Bookstore. Fair warning - this will not be a review per se, but a love letter to Zoe and her works of umami art! So typically a bride does not want to be upstaged at her wedding, but let me tell you, the food was the star and I was NOT mad about it. I think almost every one of our 135 attendees came up to us to tell us that the food was amazing and hands down “the best food [they] have ever had at a wedding in [their] lives.” This was coming from people who are absolutely not chicken and rice people — but from people who live and eat in major cities all over the world with sophisticated palates and are VERY VERY critical about their food. I heard nothing but good things (trust me I would have heard about it if they had any criticism). Additionally, Zoe’s plating is divine, the service of her staff is impeccable and I don’t have a single point of need for development feedback. If we wanted a mix of flavors (like black sesame and green tea tarts for dessert), Zoe can accommodate that. A cajillion different allergies? Zoe can handle it. Have no idea what you want? Zoe will gently guide you towards particular choices that fit your menu and guest needs. I told you, this is a love letter, not a review. However, I think my absolute favorite part about Zoe is that she is humble, kind and treats her staff with the utmost respect. She is a lovely person who loves her craft and the craft loves her back. Zoe you’re wonderful and I wish you nothing but the best!!“
