“I went here with my friends on a Friday night around 10, and there was no line, so ordering was very quick, and the worker had prepped most items, so you received your order immediately, and she was very nice. I had the Tequila Sunrise. It was $18 and was very good as far as sorbet goes. There wasn't much liquor to it. You could taste the white wine in the strawberry sorbet a bit, but the mango just tasted like standard mango sorbet. My friends had a scoop of the hazlenut coffee flavor, and it was very good, but not much liquor flavor either. If you're a big liquor person, you might be a bit underwhelmed. Nonetheless, for the amount of sorbet/ice cream you get in the cup, along with the toppings it comes with and the glass, the $18 is fair, in my opinion and I would go back to try other flavors/creations.“

“Our friends hosted their wedding at Deity this last weekend and if I had one word to sum up the experience, I would say it was magical! The venue itself is absolutely stunning and beautifully unique! There are multiple levels that can host an array of different settings and vibes, which I loved! We started our day on the fourth level in the bridal suite, which was spacious enough for 14 of us to get ready. We then moved on to the fifth level, which is a beautiful rooftop terrace for photos. Moving on to the third floor, we attended the wedding ceremony in a room that had been beautifully decorated to suit the tastes of the bride and groom. This room was flipped over for dinner as we had cocktail hour and hors d'oeuvres on the second level bar area, which was adorned with soft lighting and an intimate seating area. Finally, we moved downstairs to the first level, which was a room with beautiful art deco ceilings, to dance the night away for the reception. Although the venue itself was a gem, what impressed me the most was the staff and service. The food was absolutely delicious, but more than that, they seemed to think of every single detail to make it an unforgettable experience. The owners were personally involved in the process from beginning to end, which made me feel confident in knowing someone had such a personal investment in the event. I’d highly recommend Deity for a wedding or other special social or corporate event.“

“I used Just a Nibble for an engagement party at our house in Brooklyn for about 60 people. They EXCEEDED my expectations. Nick was wonderful to work with, flexible and took the stress out of the situation. He sent out a great team of two servers - Alexa and Xander - and a chef, Pablo. They worked hard, were polite and gracias to our guests, and cleaned up well. The appetizers we ordered were delicious and I had leftovers for days. I will definitely use this team again and recommend them highly.“

The owner is very friendly and kind as well. I picked up the chocolates on a rainy day, and he put the chocolates in two bags and put tape over them so that they don't get ruined by the rain. That was really nice of him to consider and do!“

Tasteful decor, classy, elegant but not ostentatious or over the top like some of the other venues, which is exactly my style.“

We did a "themed menu" and the chicken, fish, and vegetables were all delicious. So often the vegetable dishes and sides are afterthoughts but the beans and potatoes were scrumptious and perfectly cooked. I appreciated that they brought cards that identified the food items and indicated if the food was vegan, gluten free, etc. (most caterers haven't done that in my experience). The staff who dropped off the food were prompt and friendly. And Kelly, rep from the catering team who assisted me with the order, was helpful and responsive. “This is the only place in the entire city that I would recommend people go to if they want an authentic New York pizza experience. The slices are massive (take-up-an-entire-plate HUGE), the sauce is zippy and flavourful, and the pepperoni is to die for. I would personally recommend a slice of the pepperoni and bacon, or the Sicilian deep dish. The workers are all very nice and service was quick and efficient. They also have a nice selection of cold drinks to get with your pizza. The joint was right across the street from our hotel so it was very convenient for us to grab a couple slices whenever we wanted. The best bonus is that the place is open late, which meant that we were able to get pizza at about 12:30 at night after catching Billy Joel at MSG. Overall, this is a fantastic pizza place and I would highly recommend it.“

“Walked in randomly on a Friday and got the toro special. It was a decent price for toro and it was well presented + quickly served. It wasn't too flavorful since the rice wasn't that seasoned. I relied heavily on the soy sauce and wasabi instead and it was a decent experience. It was a lot smaller than it looks though. I don't generally eat much as I'm a small person but I was easily able to finish the roll + handroll and still wanted more food. Overall I would go back and try other things there. Also saw another reviewer mention that they had soup with the lunch special but I didn't get any soup and it doesn't seem to mention soup being included on the lunch special menu. Just FYI“
“Gottscheer Hall is a fixture of Ridgewood and has been for decades. It does an excellent job at bridging the gap between the old neighborhood and the infusion of the new crowd in a way in which everyone feels welcome. The food is excellent and reasonably priced and their selection of German beer pretty much guarantees something for everyone. The bartenders are also the best in the area, friendly, personable and great to chat with while sipping on a cold one. I've made many memories and friends in that place from all walks of life. From my initial contact right through til the end of the party, I knew this was the caterer for us. Jeffrey and his assistant were extremely professional. “We recently held a fundraiser at the World's Fair Marina and we could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. The staff from the beginning were extremely accommodating and made sure to take care of us as we were busy hosting the fundraiser. They even came by and hand delivered drinks and came to us with a plate of appetizers. The little things matter! The room was set up beautifully with pink decor and the room brought tears to many eyes as we threw this fundraiser for an amazing friend of ours. The food was absolutely delicious. We had lemon piccata, pepper steak, sausage and peppers, penne a la vodka plus salad. It was an amazing spread and people went up for seconds. My kids loved the rice in particular and especially the dessert table of pastries and fruit. The bar tender was a sweetheart and their homemade fruit punch is so tasty. It's virgin so kids had it and they loved it. Adults added some liquor and wow - amazing cocktail. Without a doubt, this venue is the place in queens to hold a party.
