“Karaoke night was great But need it more space for dancing“
“We recently held a fundraiser at the World's Fair Marina and we could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. The staff from the beginning were extremely accommodating and made sure to take care of us as we were busy hosting the fundraiser. They even came by and hand delivered drinks and came to us with a plate of appetizers. The little things matter! The room was set up beautifully with pink decor and the room brought tears to many eyes as we threw this fundraiser for an amazing friend of ours. The food was absolutely delicious. We had lemon piccata, pepper steak, sausage and peppers, penne a la vodka plus salad. It was an amazing spread and people went up for seconds. My kids loved the rice in particular and especially the dessert table of pastries and fruit. The bar tender was a sweetheart and their homemade fruit punch is so tasty. It's virgin so kids had it and they loved it. Adults added some liquor and wow - amazing cocktail. Without a doubt, this venue is the place in queens to hold a party. The gorgeous views and amazing service + food = a great time for all! So much gratitude to the staff and owners for being so accommodating and welcoming.“

It seems that nearly everything is prepared to order, and as a result if coming here you should be prepared to possibly wait longer than most restaurants for your food to be ready.
I do wish there was a way for the restaurant to communicate this to avoid problems with new customers who may be expecting quicker service.“

“I booked the Naughty Dessert Decorating Class for me and my partner, and I'm so glad I did! The experience itself was fantastic.
Austin hosted the class, he was patient and thorough in explaining the decorating process, and he made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. We had the option to decorate different shaped and flavored cookies, as well as a waffle of our choice. Overall, I highly recommend this class it's perfect for a fun date or a unique activity with friends. We had a blast and will definitely be back!“

The restaurant blends Buddhist philosophy with royal vegetarian cuisine inspired by the Qing Palace. It was my first time trying a full vegetarian tasting menu, and I was impressed by how flavorful and creative every dish was. The mushroom dishes stood out the most, especially the Stichotas japonicus with cucumber sauce, the pan-seared boletus with green millet, and the Nepal mushroom quinoa with pepper sauce. Each course felt balanced and intentional—low oil, low sugar, and focused on natural taste. Even traditional dishes like Buddha Jumps Over the Wall and zhajiang noodles were reimagined beautifully. The dessert, called “Nectar of the Core,” was light and refreshing. Dining at Bodai feels like a calm, thoughtful journey through color, texture, and flavor. If you’re looking for an elevated vegetarian meal in NYC, this is worth a visit.“

The valet attendant is always most helpful and courteous when directing our limousine drivers with parking. If you or someone you know is thinking about booking El Caribe as your venue for celebration we highly recommend them and if you are looking for a limousine or party bus to transport you in style and luxury we can help you as well give us a call at 718-629-2540 and we will help you with booking or providing a price quote. We have limousines that fit as small as a party of 8 to as big as a party of 35 people.“
“We got married at the Green Building last weekend and Dish is one of their preferred vendors, so when we chose them as our caterer, we knew we wouldn’t have to worry about a thing! In addition to their catering services, we used Dish’s day-of coordinating services. The food was phenomenal and people still keep raving about the chicken and waffle cones from our cocktail hour! Every single bite I had throughout the day left me satisfied with a happy belly! The entire day went as smooth as butter and everyone really enjoyed themselves! Our magical day would not have been possible without the amazing duo of Evalyn and Lauren! They were truly the best!“

“We are full-time wedding photographers who did not have the pleasure of working at the Glen Island Harbour Club until January 2025. Winter weddings can be tough if you are not at an iconic location with extensive interiors conducive to photography meant to maximize the natural and ambient light, but in this case, it was perfect! The bridal suite was stupendous and the guys had a perfect place to get ready, too. All the areas had a lot of daylight considering it was the darkest time of the year and were elegantly furnished. The spaces all complimented the chosen scarlet red and classic tux look. We went outdoors for a bit despite the cold and windy day and loved the views of the water. Everywhere we went the staff was perfect for our couple, their family and friends, and us as vendors. We had scouted the venue beforehand, but we did not realize just how much room we’d have to work with - especially getting ready, taking spectacular shots on the staircase and in the lobby, during the ceremony even with so many guests, and for the reception with a huge dance floor. The food during cocktail hour was absolutely amazing with seemingly limitless options for everyone. The venue staff made sure we had a nice meal as well while checking in on the little things we love such as ensuring we’re set for the entrances and knew the itinerary for the reception. And again, this was our impression during the most difficult time of the year! I cannot imagine how extraordinary the property is during warm seasons, but we hope to find out soon. While this is written from the perspective of a small business owner, this is an unbiased and unsponsored review, and we appreciated the sensational first visit with hopefully many more to come. The tofu burger is also good and much larger than the burger.
Fries are good but I prefer thinner cut fries.
The date shake is great to share. It’s small but the perfect size for how sweet it is.

Right from the start, the owner, George, delivered true VIP service and unmatched attention to detail. He was incredibly enthusiastic about the job, and you could genuinely feel his passion in every single detail of the planning and execution. He cares deeply about his clients, and it sets the tone for his entire crew.
The food was absolutely superb—we have received non-stop compliments from our guests on both the exceptional quality and the beautiful presentation.
Beyond the fantastic menu, the level of service was truly unbelievable. A special shoutout to Sarah, who was phenomenal and kept the entire evening running smoothly. Her top-tier organization made everything feel effortless, allowing the hosting team to actually take a breath and enjoy the event. We also noticed a massive improvement in our bar logistics this year thanks to Manny, who did an amazing job organizing the drinks so that lines moved perfectly all night.

“From the outside, one might think this a food hall of sorts. Its definitely more of a hub for food delivery services. There were countless pickup orders and, including us, 2 other tables that came to sit and eat. The atmosphere has grande ceilings with floor to ceiling windows with bar seating running along and maybe 8 tables. There are hard-copy menus and touchscreen stations to order but the choices are countless; resulting in a time consuming firt-timer experience. There's 1 kitchen that pumps out separate restaurant menu items. The food was ok. I got a Mexican-style chicken bowl that was crossed with another restaurants curry chicken; bites here and there were different. My husband got an Asian-style chicken fried rice bowl that came out cold. 2nd attempt was saturated in sesame oil and inedible. We didn't realize it at the time but Amex Gold got rid of Goldbelly, replaced by Wonder; big mistake in our opinion as Goldbelly is worldwide and Wonder is limited to big-city access for a lesser quality product.“

“I would definitely recommend having Mia’s Cocina cater your next event. Prior to our event, we had a call where we discussed expectations, and she was more than willing to provide input and recommendations on both the menu and the amount of food needed, she was incredibly helpful!
On the day of the event, the drop-off was seamless. The food arrived on time, in perfect condition, and was packaged beautifully. The team also helped set everything up.
We ordered the Yellow Rice with Pigeon Peas, Pernil, Pulled Garlic Chicken, Baked Ziti, and Mac and Cheese, everything was absolutely delicious!

“I just got my Twins 21st Birthday this last Saturday I will say yes I do recommend it because of the delicious food , accommodation, tables set up, bartender and servers ( kind and warm), the bartender was on beyond my expectations but They need to hire another hostess who is willing to help, follow instructions and get better management floors My guests were lost sitting on any table when I approached to her at the beginning of the party with instructions she answered that she won’t need it. That is why the welcome guest part was a COMPLETE DISASTER When we were getting ready for the toast none of us got a glass so I went running to the table to serve the drinks she approached to me saying THATS TOO MUCH ALCOHOL and I looked at her saying I DO KNOW WHAT I AM DOING and my question is WTH you should ask me how I can help you or if you are an experienced hostess you will know what is that for ??? Honestly she did not deserve any tip even tho I did tip her I got extremely dissatisfied with her attitude different relatives and guests asked who is she ?? No smile extremely serious she made my guest so uncomfortable I hope she get better professionally So I will rate this place 3/5“

“We used Thomas Oliver's Gourmet Catering back in March and I truly do not have one bad thing to say about them. The staff was impeccable and took over a lot of the setup, which was so refreshing. They helped me with tasks that were not even directly related to the catering, and they had a smile on their face the whole time. They had great attitudes and really helped light up the space. The food was absolutely delicious, and it was talked about by the guests all night long. If you have the chance to use them for your next event, please do!“

We have no kitchen and only a mini fridge - she came with all the equipment needed to heat and prepare food, chill the wine and champagne. The meat, cheese, fruit, nuts & dried fruit were premium quality & we’re told, very delicious. It arrived in a cute huge box, with flowers & a honey dipper tied into the colorful wrapping twine.
