It seems that nearly everything is prepared to order, and as a result if coming here you should be prepared to possibly wait longer than most restaurants for your food to be ready.
I do wish there was a way for the restaurant to communicate this to avoid problems with new customers who may be expecting quicker service.“

“This spot used to be a diner and Superiority Burger totally carries the legacy forward with the paper daily specials and slices of pearl pie in the refrigerated case.

That said, the menu here is unlike any restaurant anywhere. Honestly we didn’t even really know what we were ordering but the side of cabbage, fries, yuba sandwich and panelle were mind-blowing. Super wild flavors. Service was phenomenal.

The mushroom dishes stood out the most, especially the Stichotas japonicus with cucumber sauce, the pan-seared boletus with green millet, and the Nepal mushroom quinoa with pepper sauce. Each course felt balanced and intentional—low oil, low sugar, and focused on natural taste. Even traditional dishes like Buddha Jumps Over the Wall and zhajiang noodles were reimagined beautifully. “This review is long overdue. However, we are glad we waited because seven (7) months later, we are STILL getting rave reviews from our friends and families about the food at our wedding! We had a VERY difficult venue that required all of our vendors to submit referrals and agree to a multitude of specific rules. Our original caterer cancelled two (2) months out from our wedding date (after a year of planning). We did not know what to do! They had already been approved and accepted by our venue. We were devastated! KRISP quickly reviewed the menu / pricing we had negotiated and budgeted with that caterer. They were SO reassuring, and offered us MORE options for a lower cost. We could not believe it! After experiencing an incredible tasting at their gorgeous venue, we were SOLD! THE FOOD IS UNREAL, seriously! When we were low on alcohol, they ran to the store to ensure that our guests would not notice any lapse! They even secured and stored our cake topper for months after our wedding! Despite coming on board with less than 2 months to prepare, KRISP navigated a VERY difficult venue, provided incredible service and kept all the stress out of our site! If you don't scoop them up while you can, your event will not be as good as it could have been.“

I’m quickly finding it to be my weekly go to. It’s a perfect location, glad to have this place in the neighborhood.“

“Whenever I try a new pizza place, I usually judge it by a plain slice and a Sicilian. This time, I skipped the Sicilian and ordered two plain slices instead, asking for them extra crispy. The first slice was cooked well and had the crisp I wanted. By the time I got to the second slice, however, it wasn’t crispy at all.

I find it frustrating when a pizza place can’t consistently fulfill such a basic request. The sauce and cheese were well-flavored—good, but nothing remarkable—though overall the pizza was tasty.

Would I go back? Possibly, if they can cook it the way I ask. But if I can’t count on that consistency, there’s really no reason to return.“

“My niece got married and used Marcia Selden Catering for all of it. There were three days of events where catering was needed. It seemed as if it was all of the same staff that worked all of them. They were all friendly, accommodating, and very professional. By the end of it all, I felt as if we had known all of them forever. That was really cool. The plethora of passed apps, dinner buffet, cocktails, and the the brunch buffet were THE best catered food I have ever had in my entire life and 30+ year career in the food and beverage industry. Me and my party that I came with (one of which owns a catering company in another state) were totally blown away. I live on the other side of the country now.
