“I recently hosted my baby/bridal shower at Paolo’s, and the brunch buffet was absolutely fantastic. There was an impressive variety of options that truly had something for everyone, from classic breakfast favorites like eggs, bacon, French toast, and fresh fruit to delicious lunch offerings like pasta primavera, garden salad, and our entrée selections of chicken Milanese and eggplant rollatini. Everything was incredibly flavorful and well-prepared. The two servers assigned to our event were exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed throughout the celebration. Their attentiveness made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Paolo’s for any special event! Thank you Linda and team for making my day so special!“

“Bacchus has been the best most under-rated pizza in the area…in NY..for years. However something changed recently. I don’t know if it was a one-off but their flour or dough changed. Not in a good way. What happened?!?“

“I was going to gatekeep this but it's too special not to share. We went to Villa di Como and everything from start to finish was delicious. We started with cocktails made with their house made limoncello and orangecello, for apps we got the rice balls, garlic bread, calamari, broccoli rabe, and prosciutto and arugula pizza. We should have stopped there because it was more than enough food for four people. But we went on a tour and got more. We added the porchini mushroom pasta special, the Margherita pizza, frutti di mare pasta and pasta carbonara. Every dish was flavorful and made with attention to detail and love. We were all rotating plates bc it was sooo good. The pasta, sauce, cream, butter and oil tasted like nothing I've ever had locally. We had another round of drinks made with their in house orangecello, cheesecake and espresso ice cream for dessert.
Villa di Como is an intimate, clean and authentic space where you won't be disappointed. The food and cocktails were a 10 out of 10 for everyone. It's spotless, organized and the bathroom is maintained very well. They also have items that they make in house for you to experience at home. The service was top tier. Be sure to ask for Matteo or sit right at the bar. This will be a place that I frequent. 🧡🤌🏿“

“Sat at the bar and was served by Vinnie. Vinnie was super nice and we had great conversations. Gabriella was also very smiley and friendly (she drinks a lot of water lol [inside joke]). I ordered the veal cordon bleu and my adult son had the lasagna. I’ve been to Italy and this meal was just as good, if not better, than some of the food I ate in Rome, Gaeta or Naples. We enjoyed chicken frangelica and veal sorrento. The chicken was beautiful with a hazelnut flavor and sauce. The veal was also excellent, tender and served with pasta and red sauce.
We also had an appetizer, greens and beans, enough for 4 people and DELICIOUS! Desert was a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, so moist! With a wine the bill was under $100.00

“First time visit to La Perla in Averill Park, NY Thursday 8/17/23 6:30pm reservation. We came because of the music by The Next Chapter, Alan Saunders & Mike Derrico formerly of the Good for the Soul band that played at our wedding in 2006. They were set up in an nice courtyard at the rear of the restaurant, but an hour later had to move inside due to the rain. Very prompt service by the staff. We ordered drinks and looked over the menu. We settled on two appetizers: eggplant rollatini ($20) and the clams casino ($22). Note: clams are offered in 6 different styles. Italian style entrees from $18-33, more for specialty fish entrees i.e. zuppa de pesce $51. This is a fine dining restaurant offering well prepared and a variety of dinners. Bill was $100. for two meals & four alcoholic beverages. We ended our evening at the unique bar & dining area where we could still see & hear the band. This place also offers overnight accommodations & is an event venue. A very good first visit here. Restaurant Hours of Operation: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 4PM - 9PM Friday & Saturday 4PM - 10PM Sunday 3pm-9pm Restaurant is closed on Tuesdays. Reservations are recommended. “We went to Milanos for the first time today, and we’re never going back. To say that the service was terrible would be an understatement. Ordered a large pizza and watched it sit there on the counter getting cold because the server was MIA. I was going to walk over there and pick it up myself, but I flagged down the other server who did it for me. Same thing when I asked for the check. I could see if the place was busy and they were understaffed, they weren’t. As far as the food goes, mediocre at best. The “large” pizza was actually small and we left there hungry. We should have eaten at the burger place a few doors down.“

“We recently celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary, which was a good choice. We found the staff to be polite and friendly from when we entered until we left two hours later. The environment was pleasant and easy with a touch of class. The half-chicken "Picata" ordered was "mm-hmm good" served with an exquisitely savory sauce, prepared by Chef Jake, who is a rising star and a compliment to Troy's fine dining experience.
