We were blown away by the breathtaking beauty and the warm professionalism of the staff detail was thoughtfully handled, and the team went above and beyond to ensure our day was everything we had hoped for. “We are full-time wedding photographers who did not have the pleasure of working at the Glen Island Harbour Club until January 2025. Winter weddings can be tough if you are not at an iconic location with extensive interiors conducive to photography meant to maximize the natural and ambient light, but in this case, it was perfect! The bridal suite was stupendous and the guys had a perfect place to get ready, too. All the areas had a lot of daylight considering it was the darkest time of the year and were elegantly furnished. The spaces all complimented the chosen scarlet red and classic tux look. We went outdoors for a bit despite the cold and windy day and loved the views of the water. Everywhere we went the staff was perfect for our couple, their family and friends, and us as vendors. We had scouted the venue beforehand, but we did not realize just how much room we’d have to work with - especially getting ready, taking spectacular shots on the staircase and in the lobby, during the ceremony even with so many guests, and for the reception with a huge dance floor. The food during cocktail hour was absolutely amazing with seemingly limitless options for everyone. The venue staff made sure we had a nice meal as well while checking in on the little things we love such as ensuring we’re set for the entrances and knew the itinerary for the reception. And again, this was our impression during the most difficult time of the year! I cannot imagine how extraordinary the property is during warm seasons, but we hope to find out soon. While this is written from the perspective of a small business owner, this is an unbiased and unsponsored review, and we appreciated the sensational first visit with hopefully many more to come. A huge factor was the staff at the Westchester Manor and how incredible they were. From the beginning of the planning process until the big day, John Gresia and his team made the process of wedding planning a breeze. John had recommendations for local vendors, in which we used his vendor John for the photobooth, and we cannot say enough good things! Aside from being a beautiful, local venue, the food and attention to detail were excellent. My husband and I had our reception at the Westchester Manor on November 11th, 2023 and it exceeded our expectations in every way! We received positive feedback from all our friends and family, which made it all the more worth it. Our guests to this day are still complimenting us on the service and the food served from cocktail hour, through dinner and dessert. John was always available to answer any questions, was super accommodating through the process, and made everything run even more seamlessly the day of. I cannot wait to have future events here. “Excellent take out home cooked meal style food. I love and buy the salmon piece which is huge and is $8. I also get chicken cutlets for the kids. The cabbage and side items also look good but I just add at home a side and the meal is done. Also the coffee is my favorite in the neighborhood. Muffins melt in my mouth particularly the corn and chocolate chip. They should have more chocolate chip or maybe not bc I would buy and eat it more. There food is great home cooked style for a FAIR price. I’m so glad they are in my neighborhood.“

“Garden Kitchen is my go-to spot for Korean banchan whenever I’m craving authentic Korean food! The staff is always warm, friendly, and incredibly generous. Their banchan is consistently fresh and delicious. I especially love their kimchi stew—honestly, I think it tastes better than what you’d find at many high-end Korean restaurants in Bergen County. I can’t imagine what I’d do without Garden Kitchen!“

I was in search of a great chef to come to our home and cook a surprise 60th birthday dinner for my husband and came across Chef Abyssinia with a Google search that turned up with many 5-star reviews. I called immediately and was fortunate she was available. It was a pleasurable experience from start to finish and if I could give more than a 5-star review I would. She is a warm, friendly, and incredibly talented chef who takes great pride in her work as was displayed by the preparation and deliciousness. We were impressed by the pre-event coordination and care shared to ensure a good plan. Renee's hired staff was professional and made our guests comfortable with their food and beverage services. One guest, 75 years of age, said MadeByRK was the best meal ever served at a wedding. “This location i have come to a few times. It has progressively become better and better.
The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and quite, while there is a great social bar, with very nice accomodationimg staff and the downtown has become much better than it use to be that this hotel is right within.

Only downside I've experienced is the up charge fee for late checkout. Normally around the world a late checkout there is not a secondary charge of you request up till 1-2pm. Unfortunately this hotel is going with the US trend of charging consumers for needing a later checkout even if you checking at 11pm bc of late travel etc.. Only down on have to say, but hotel it top notch“

“Dropped by during our long bike ride to grab some burritos. We did not see them on the online menu but we called in advance to order for pickup and asked if they had them, they said yes of course. They were very nice to us and it was nice on such a rainy day to grab some delicious warm food and sit down inside to warm up. The tortillas they made the burritos from were nice and flaky, there was a good amount of steak in our steak burritos and they were served with a generous amount of rice and beans (also delicious). The sauces were all on point as well. The staff was very nice.“

“I found them online. When I called I spoke with Andrew the owner. He immediately put my mind at ease was willing to work with everything that I had wanted to, even took the time to stay on the phone with me while we were both online checking out pictures of different platters and different options to have. I threw myself a surprise 50th birthday party, and I wanted to have something different besides the normal Italian buffet. What I want to show you is absolutely spectacular, and as beautiful as it looks it doesn't compare to the taste. They were so professional brought in these beautiful heavy metal platters with serving spoons, tongues, and they also brought chopsticks soy sauce and a spicy male sriracha. I ordered a Kani salad and a Seaweed salad to go along with the different platter that I wanted. It was truly an amazing experience. Don't sleep on the opportunity to hire them to cater your next event. Mine was about a hundred people, and again I had other food but this was definitely the star of the show.“
