“This was the worst fish fry I have ever had in my life. The batter was terrible fish was so over cooked it was mushy the mashed potatoes were like eating glue with terrible salty gravy. Me and my friend hardly touched our dinner and the waitress never asked if something was wrong with the food. She removed our dishes and asked us if we wanted dessert. The waitress herself was very pleasant but I would definitely advise not going to this restaurant to eat!!!!”

Not only was the lunch recommendation on point; the fritters were absolutely amazing. However, the best thing ever was the service! Zoran was the kindest person ever and when I spoke to my family by phone later in the day-he was the first one I told them about. I’m not sure when I’ll make it back but Fritters on the Lake will be my first stop and everyone that is headed that way will have my highest recommendation. “My favorite winery in Niagara on the lake. It’s not only a beautiful organic farm but the owner is present and so passionate about each wine you’re tasting. He sat down with us the last two times when we were visiting. Love the Chardonnay, rose and sparkling wines offered. Always one of my stops when I’m in the NOTL region. The lunch special is a great deal, and pairing that with an extra tempera dish made our meal perfect (such a nice, almost fluffy texture to the tempura!). Sushi itself was delicious. “What a fabulous pub, the food and drinks were great but the staff are outstanding. We went for dinner/drinks 2 nights in a row when we were in Niagara on the lake celebrating our anniversary. The second night” our 41st wedding anniversary at the end of our meal Kaitlin brought us a dessert and an anniversary card signed by all the staff that Mieriam our waitress the night before had left for us, it really ment the world to us. “We wanted to have a more casual vibe for our wedding celebration and found Taps to be the perfect venue (Sept 12/26). Alicia was very helpful in setting up a reservation for us and our 25 guests. The group menu options provided a perfect variety and ordering options. All the guests raved about the food- so fresh and flavourful. Staff both bar tending and servers did so always with a smile and were very efficient and organized to keep the billing in order. Taps is also recommended if you'd like to visit for a taste of some craft beers or a flight over some appies on the patio or inside.”
