“If you're looking for an adventure in culinary mediocrity, Charley's at the food court is your ticket to 'meh'. Picture this: you wander over, drawn in by the promise of sizzling onions and the distant dream of cheesesteak perfection. But what you get is a sandwich that's about as memorable as that B-list movie you watch on a rainy Saturday afternoon. I received excellent service and the food was prepared promptly, it just wasn’t very good.
The sampleman standing in front of the restaurant was probably aware of the food’s lack of taste because he was making no effort to hand samples to potential customers or mall walkers. I’m used to samplemen and samplewomen aggressively trying to hand me a sample by sticking it in front of my face. While this is annoying it also shows a commitment to hard work.
While this restaurant has the convenience of being sandwich place in the food court, it doesnt have a whole lot else going for it.“

“This Mr Hero is by far the best one! I’m embarrassed the amount of times I eat here! I order for my picky eater son and myself! They get it right every single time! Never had an issue Miss Janet is always working Along side a gentleman. I always see but I’m not sure of his name! Thankyou guys for great food and service!“

“Listen! I’ve been munching on Eddies Famous Cheesesteaks since the early 2000s—back when my 3am bar exits in downtown Akron led me straight to his sidewalk tent of deliciousness. Fast forward, and now I'm (mostly) grown up, still devouring Eddie’s masterpieces during my lunch breaks at his cozy restaurant just a few blocks down from the Ol' Tent. ?
Consistency is key, and Eddie’s has it locked down! But let's be real—DELICIOUS is the first word that comes to mind. ? For 24 years, Eddie’s has been serving me mouthgasmic cheesesteaks and fries with flavors that makes me question every other food choice I’ve ever made. The portions? Perfect and consistent. The service? Friendly as ever. The taste? Unchanged in the best way. In a world where nothing stays the same, this is a breath of fresh (cheesy) air. ?
Now, confession time. I’ve been having a lunch fling with some "healthy option" down the road. ? But Eddie’s crew didn’t judge—they schooled me on Eddie’s Slammers instead. Y’ALL. I tried the Cajun Slammer today, and it was AMAZEBALLS. ? No bread, no fries—low carb heaven! And I hear if you eat it standing up, it’s basically fat-free... right? ?
The cajun seasoning, that magical brown drizzle, the bean-y corn-y salsa, the super fresh greens... I’m a gangsta, but I legit shed a tear of joy on that first bite. ? From now on, this beauty is officially called the Slamma. ?
GO GET A SLAMMA! While you're at it, grab a NORKA Sparkling Soda to wash it down. #SupportLocal ? Fun fact: Norka is Akron spelled backwards! Bet you didn’t know that, but hey, only the smarties who eat Slamma's do. ?
Dude- go to Eddie’s, order a Slamma (they’ve got like 4-5 options), grab a Norka, and step up your lunch or dinner game. You're welcome ?
