“Finally stopped in after seeing it on social media. It's a small dive bar but don't let that fool you, the food was very good. I had a meatball sub and the meatballs tasted homemade.Met the owner and she was super friendly and talked with our group about the place. It was are servers first day, but she did very well. Will be back for sure in the near future.“

“Now I can’t remember the smash burger I had but I know it had the house specialty sauce. In the first bite, the flavors of each item combined create the taste of fresh ingredients. The beef is fresh and local, as in a few miles away local. Everything that makes up that burger was local. I wish I had a picture to show but I smashed it with the quickness. The taste of that juicy burger left me separated from reality until there was nothing left. At that point I zapped back into reality so I didn’t get a pic. I’ll for sure be back again and hopefully get a picture for you all. Also, in the back, the kitchen is impressively clean. It looked as if they had just moved in that day. I arrived just before closing hours and a manager showed me the operations in the back while my burger was being made. Retro Burger has an excellent standard and that is why I’m recommending it. “I'm 35, and I've been going to the Main St saloon since I could remember. 5-6yrs old. Back when they had the .99 cent jumbo burger, and the boxing in the basement (I was too young to actually go down there) This place holds so many fond memories along with amazing great good, vibes, and energy. Definitely will definitely stay in the top 3 of my favorite food joints.“

“It has been a long time since I have been in this bar. Pool leage brought us here. Wow!! Who ever cleaned this place up,you did a knock out job. Congrats to all involved. An a very well kept pool table. I remember a day when you have to beat your way out of this place. Not anymore. This is a very well run bar. Very clean. I would definitely return. Would not mind making it my hang out spot. But it's on the other side of town. That is the only reason I have not been back yet. Good place to take a date,or just hanging out with the work crew. “This is a great little neighborhood bar and grille. The food here is surprisingly great. Our party was of 12 people and we all ordered different dishes. Everyone was well pleased with their order. The servers at the canal boat lounge are very attentive and cordial to their guests, nice little family vibe.“

My husband and I have traveled in Burma/Myanmar, Thailand and many places in SE Asia - and we were very impressed with the quality of the food and the portions at Leyh Thai Restaurant. The decor is also very pleasant and would be ideal for a quiet romantic meal or larger gatherings (birthdays, etc.). We had lunch there recently for my husband's birthday and noticed there were few customers. They do a larger take-out business, but I'm writing this review in hopes that folks in the Akron/Cuyahoga Falls/Tallmage/Kent/Fairlawn area will consider enjoying a meal there in person for lunch and/or dinner. “Met a few friends for dinner and drinks last week on the patio. Our server was very busy but was still very attentive. Every time she passed by our table, she made sure to see if we needed anything. Our food came out in a timely manner. We were impressed with the generous portions. I had the steak philly sandwich which was excellent. The manager Billie Rae came over and welcomed us, checked on us to see if we were enjoying our meals and then stopped by the table when we were checking out to thank us and invite us to come back. We will definitely be back.“

“After driving past this dining gem on S Main for years, wondering if we'd enjoy the place, we stopped in this past Saturday at around 4PM to get a late afternoon meal. We were seated almost immediately in a spotless booth with soft lighting, provided menus with an endless array of offerings, and asked for our beverage order. Suffice it to say we were impressed by the immediate service given to us by Felicia, and her ability to make us feel welcomed! The bleucheese burger we shared was perfect, French fries were very hot and crispy, and the house salad was accompanied by two house-made dressings, a creamy white French and a balsamic...both were outstanding, and the servings were enough to provide dipping sauces for the fries. We believe we have found the neighborhood tavern we've been seeking since moving to Akron in 2018! Sure, the burger prices were a bit high, but in keeping with the disastrous economic times. Super neighborhood spot for dining, libations, and tv viewing. And the friendly staff is the icing on the cake, actually on the incredibly sinfully deeelicious bread pudding!“

“I've been on the patron side of bars going on 4 decades in 50 states. I have to give this bar credit where credit is due. Of all the bars in Akron, this one is the cleanest and classiest by far. Of course I could find some things that they could improve upon. No bar is perfect. But this one comes close. Cleanest restrooms, friendly staff, prices are decent. They doing it right. Upscale slightly older crowd. Highly recommend.“

Bummed that this past weekend they were out of some appetizers but we love Carol and Susie who are amazing bartenders and the Pepper Jack Chicken Soup is one of our favorites! “This bar and grill had decent food for exceptional pricing.Tuesday Tacos are $1, and they are hard or soft and better than Taco Bell. 3 stars, so it is okay, but 5 star price.I also tried the pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese side..4.99 stars. It is on a toasted bun with perfect meat placement. Maybe I should give it 5 stars.I am not from the immediate area, but the patrons and staff were friendly the few times I have been here.“

“We went to this place at 7am on a whim to get steaks and they were awesome! The lady who served us was really sweet, the cook came out with my eggs and she was really sweet too, and the food was great. Definitely will visit again when we need 7am steaks!! Lol“

“It might be a conflict of interest for me to even rate this place because I was there in the beginning when the place opened its doors. It regardless I have to say that I enjoyed the food enough that I came an hour early each day that I worked so I could get a chance to order their food to eat before my shift started on those days. If you get a chance, try their steak named the "Eli". It's a huge Strip steak that's worth the price! The last time I was in there they still had half price appetizers on Saturday. If they still have them I recommend the stuffed banana peppers because they're delicious.Parking: Since it is not possible to add more parking to the existing parking lot the owner has permission to allow for people to park in a parking lot across Market Street instead.“

The chicken was great, the breading was flavorful.the fries are average, needed a little salt to fix. Mozzarella sticks were great all around. Poppers were good if you like poppers, I’m more of a grilled popper guy, these are fried . Onion rings were good but not anything to ride home about. Also ordered fried pickles, hush puppies and a grizzly burger.the pickles were spears, I prefer chips, could’ve used more breading. The hush puppies were something to ride home about, great flavor, and the grizzly burger was fantastic, who would’ve thunk salami on a burger. The biggest kicker is the prices, super cheap, which was wild for how good most of the food was. Bartender was really cool.“
