“This was a disappointing evening for us at vaccaros. While the food was very good the service was not. Party of four with four drinks and two appetizers and two of us shared a meal. We do this when we go out and have done so at vaccaros and this time we were charged a $5 split fee which is just ridiculous when we are clearly spending. We ordered a to go order and did so when we put in our dinner order bc our service said the kitchen was too backed up to wait. The to go order never came. When we asked after we finally got our bill our server said “it's not my fault. Someone else took it “. Clearly she had not put the order in. We sat for over 30 minutes after paying our bill waiting on our to go meal. Totally unacceptable. No apology. She would have at least offered us a drink while we sat and waited. The food here generally takes a really long time and tonight was no exception.“

I started off coming in here just for pasta, and I was never disappointed. Lately, however, I have been branching out to sandwiches, salads, fried chicken, and tonight, I tried the fried catfish. Every single time I’m here, I am blown away with the quality of the food. I am always greeted with a smile and a warm and friendly hello. “It's a pretty good place to eat. The atmosphere, service, and food are pretty good, but I see room for improvement in all of these areas.
The staff sat 3 tables for the same server at the same time in the bar area. We were one of those tables, and it was hard for the server to keep up with everyone needing the same thing at the same time. This is a situation that experience and training could have avoided.
The food was incredibly hot when the brought it and the ravioli was quite oven toasted crispy on top... not what I wanted or expected, but not inedible and something many others would like.“

One place that caught our attention was the Spaghetti Warehouse in Akron, located right next to the University of Akron. I first discovered it through DoorDash while picking up orders in the area, and since we’re big fans of Italian food, I suggested we give it a try. We decided to go there as a way to celebrate two special milestones—our daughter moving into her dorm and our son starting 7th grade. The moment we walked in, we were struck by the restaurant’s unique, nostalgic decor. It has an old boardwalk theme, complete with vintage arcade machines like the claw game and a love tester, which both my kids and my wife enjoyed. It gave the place a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. We were greeted and seated by our server, Jackie, who was fantastic throughout our visit. She was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. Unfortunately, while looking over the menu, we noticed several items that were listed but not actually available, which was disappointing. For food, my wife chose to build her own spaghetti with the Pomodoro sauce—a blend of marinara and Alfredo—and she really enjoyed it. She also had the house salad with ranch, which she said was fresh and flavorful. My son built his own spaghetti with meat sauce and two meatballs, and he loved his meal as well. I decided on the 15-layer lasagna, which the menu described as “incredible.” Sadly, I didn’t feel the same—it looked a little burnt, tasted chewy, and reminded me more of a frozen lasagna than something freshly made. Overall, the food was hit-or-miss. My wife and son enjoyed their meals, while mine was underwhelming. The service, however, was excellent, and Jackie really made the experience more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a family-friendly spot with a fun atmosphere and decent spaghetti, Spaghetti Warehouse isn’t a bad choice. Just be prepared for a few menu inconsistencies and don’t expect every dish to live up to the hype.“
