My husband and I went here for lunch. There was plenty of parking and a steady flow of folks in and out for good reason. The owner, J.R., greeted us as soon as we walked in. He was very helpful, informative, and so nice. His staff clearly respects him, and he runs a great shop. It only took 10 minutes to get all our food steaming hot and fresh. I ordered the catfish dinner. My husband ordered the Golden Combo. Just, wow. The flavor on this is 10/10. The last time I had catfish this good was when we were down south. Golden Fried Chicken and Fish is the best catfish in Columbus. Great business, incredible food. We can’t say enough great things.“

We liked we could substitute a side more to our liking (substituted risotto from another dish to our salmon plate) Both soups were rich and creamy. Service was excellent, although we were a little surprised our entrees took an unusually long time to be served (maybe had to do with the substitution?). We were in no hurry, so it was fine. The pricing for the lunch special was helpful.“

I had the citrus salad and the blend of citrus, salted pecans and fresh lettuces was unlike other salads you can get anywhere. Shrimp and grits, also unlike other places with added kick of sausage. We left wanting to return the next night. Great food and Jailo's exemplary service with kindness make this a place we will visit each time we are in town.“

The wagyu meatballs are so tender and delicious. Then for main main course I had the queen cut prime rib. Absolutely amazing. The beef is locally sourced which ensures fresh, flavorful cuts. The restaurant was not very busy at 9 am, but was getting fairly full by 10 am. \n\nThe Guild House was an excellent spot to meet in the Short North area close to downtown. The Short North is a busy and trendy area near the convention center. However, on this Sunday there was easy (free) street parking (you still had to use the Park Mobile App) nearby. You could also use the valet or a nearby parking garage. \n\nThe service (Baba) was excellent, Friendly and prompt! The food was a little pricey but very good. I had the Eggs Benedict ($17) and coffee ($5). In fact, almost everyone in our group had the same order. \n\nWe definitely noted this place as a great place to meet up with friends in the middle of Columbus. Most folks dressed pretty casual for breakfast.“

We had a fantastic time celebrating a birthday last night at La Loma! The food was great and the portions incredibly generous.

La Loma is a cut above the big chain Mexican restaurants.
The staff was so friendly and attentive. They truly made our celebration special by making a big fuss over the birthday person and treating us to a delicious free dessert.

We really appreciated that gesture! The food was amazing as always, the seasonal hot chocolate cinnamon roll was so yummy. I almost always get the filet and it’s cooked perfectly with the right amount of seasonings to enhance the flavor of the steak every time. He told me the story of how his grandma would make fresh tortillas and slide him one or two before dinner as a kid. He would add a little water and salt roll it into a ball and eat it before anyone would notice. This act of love and family traditions has now made it to your table. “Why are all the gems found in the rough? This was the best gyro I’ve had in Columbus The lamb was cooked to perfection regardless of how long it might have been sitting precooked. The pita was toasted on the flattop to the point it was crispy but didn’t break when folded. Fresh veggies were very surprising as well. Will be back but only in the middle of the day.“
