“I enjoyed my visit here. The service is friendly, the food is quick, hot, and delicious, and the price is very reasonable. I got shrimp and crab with the garlic sauce. I did the spicy garlic sauce in the side. It was enough for me to share with my kid. The sauce is what I would expect from a seafood boil spot. The inside was clean and fun. I’d come back.“

“We are beyond impressed by the food, great owner, friendly chef, and fantastic experience at Golden Fried Chicken and Fish. This is the place if you’re looking for true southern-style fried catfish. My husband and I went here for lunch. There was plenty of parking and a steady flow of folks in and out for good reason. The owner, J.R., greeted us as soon as we walked in. He was very helpful, informative, and so nice. His staff clearly respects him, and he runs a great shop. It only took 10 minutes to get all our food steaming hot and fresh. I ordered the catfish dinner. My husband ordered the Golden Combo. Just, wow. The flavor on this is 10/10. The last time I had catfish this good was when we were down south. Golden Fried Chicken and Fish is the best catfish in Columbus. Great business, incredible food. We can’t say enough great things.“

“Windward Passage was a fantastic experience!! Our server Emma was top notch! We loved the nautical theme. We visited to (silently) celebrate my birthday. I had the Oysters on the half shell (large plump, meaty, not gritty), King Crab legs (sweet, firm), Lobster tail (South African, cold water tail - large, plump, sweet, tender, juicy), Clam chowder (average, but good). My partner (not the seafoodie) opted for chicken fingers and fries. We loved the casual (not posh/stuffy) vibe. Emma was on top of EVERYTHING even having a few other table near us. She was not pushy in regard to time or up-selling. All of our requests were fulfilled. The dinner from course to course was timed perfectly. Winward Passage even provided a couple elements we haven't experienced in quite a while.“

“We had a 630 reservation and valentine's day and we're not seated until 7. The lobby was jammed with people waiting to be seated but had no where else to go. We also stood and watched as multiple people that got to the restaurant after us, were seating before us. We also were not compensated for anything.“

Then realized their mistake. They said they would ‘try' to get us seated. We were seated 15 minutes after our reservation. Our table server redeemed our experience and the food was great.“

“I had the nicest dining experience this afternoon! I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. It was warm and inviting after a 10 minute walk in the frigid air. My server, Casey, was exceptional. She was friendly, helpful, funny and heartwarming. I felt like she was a friend. She recommended a delicious drink, appetizer and pasta dish that were all beyond compare. She has great taste. At the end of the meal, I was given a free dessert just for being me— that was so thoughtful! I ended up taking a bit back to my hotel room, but I smiled all the way back.“

“Went there (from out of town) to celebrate an amazing Arnold Expo experience -- my first time. The valet was free -- extremely fast and convenient. The host noticed the reservation --- immediately brought us to our table, without any type of delay.
The menu was clear and easy to pick. We all got the three-part dinner. Steak, mashed potatoes, a vegetable, and dessert. Very delicious filets and tender and juicy. They have a large wine selection too. After we had the bread and butter and our meals we were treated to scrumptious deserts. I also ordered crème brûlée and it was delicious!! We really appreciated that gesture! The food was amazing as always, the seasonal hot chocolate cinnamon roll was so yummy. I almost always get the filet and it’s cooked perfectly with the right amount of seasonings to enhance the flavor of the steak every time. He told me the story of how his grandma would make fresh tortillas and slide him one or two before dinner as a kid. He would add a little water and salt roll it into a ball and eat it before anyone would notice. This act of love and family traditions has now made it to your table. “Why are all the gems found in the rough? This was the best gyro I’ve had in Columbus The lamb was cooked to perfection regardless of how long it might have been sitting precooked. The pita was toasted on the flattop to the point it was crispy but didn’t break when folded. Fresh veggies were very surprising as well. Will be back but only in the middle of the day.“
