SO glad we chose Rise & Dine for our breakfast/lunch! The food was absolutely amazing and the service we received from Maddie was just as good!! Whenever we happen to be in the area we will definitely stop back!“

“Where do I start ? Came for dinner Wednesday night and then came for dinner Thursday again. That should say something . I’m beyond impressed by the Staff and the establishment, it beyond exceeded my expectations. We have a lot of fine dining in the Poconos region with some higher end restaurants and this place exceeded them. The quality of the food is superior. Take a look at some of the pics of the food we ordered. Ended up meeting Sean the head chef and impressed how he runs his kitchen , everything goes with the flow . Make sure you make a reservation :) we ended up not making one and we got seated over looking the kitchen and it was the best place. You see all the action. Can’t wait to come back from Poconos. “First the good things. The menu is fun and has a lot of options. Our food was very good, we both had a seafood dish and the wood fired oysters is a tasty app. The drinks were also well made and tasty. The mediocre things. The staff was professional and efficient, but with no warmth or friendliness. I definitely prefer efficiency over chatty and forgetful, but they seemed overwhelmed and miserable. Finally, the seating is cramped and uncomfortable. This is more like communal seating than a private meal. Also, over a dozen staff members bump into my chair throughout dinner, which I am sure displeased them as much as me. In summary; great food, but about as comfortable as eating on a public bus at rush hour.“

“I love eating at Gateway diner. It’s always a friendly experience. It feels like Home there. The staff is so kind that atmosphere is so warm. It’s got that true diner experience that you don’t often get anymore plus the pancakes slap.“

“Food is good, however in the past they along with other restaurants showed appreciation for Veterans by offering a complimentary meal to the Veteran(s) on Veterans Day. They don't do that anymore. Now its a complimentary ice cream desert and a gift card for an appetizer for your next visit. Don't come here Veterans... dont come here on Veterans Day. “Exceptional! At in Bar area and it was perfect. Onion Soup best there is. I had the American Waygu steak and it is excellent and very reasonably priced. My husband felt like a burger and they have #1 burger and the hashbrowns are amazing. All in all outstanding experience.“

Our pre- dinner activity finished a whole hour and a half before our reservation and they made it work to help me stay stress free for the evening. “My first visit was a resounding success! I ordered the fish sandwich and fries along with an order of soul rolls. The fish was delicious and I was really full from it, but I had to bite into one of the soul rolls. Before I knew it, I had ate half of it and I knew I was full already. It was just so delicious that I couldn’t stop taking bites. Everything was prepared fresh and I didn’t wait long either. I definitely recommend them and will be back myself.“

“Long time customer from when they took over the yesterdays restaurant. Years ago it was much better. The spaghetti was really a bolognese sauce that was AMAZING and would have been a $20 plate in other restaurants. That was 20 years ago. When they went to a marinara I asked why? And the owner told me no one would order it with the name bolognese lol. And they wanted a simple marinara sauce. Oh well. The rest of the menu started to suffer some when they started to open more restaurants. They started to not give a dinner roll when they use too, less stuff on a simple side salad. Saving a penny here and there. I know others that feel the same way. Mary's is still a good place. Fast service, always seem friendly lol. But it use to be very very good. Breakfasts are always great. Not much to change there. But some things show the cut backs to seemingly fund more restaurant. We use to go far more often then now. But we still go, and still happy with everything. But if you are a long term customer you saw the changes. Scale of 5 stars I would have gave it a solid 5 before. And I am a TOUGH grader on things as you can tell. Now about a 3.75. Service 4.75 Price 4.50 Food 3.00 I place a heavier value on the food as it is the real reason people go to a restaurant. TO EAT. Madison and Geneva is better to have them for sure. But we have so few good restaurants. What we need is a good deli. Not sure why but everything is pizza or fast foods or Italian. “This is such a hidden gem at the mall! Omg, I love the fries. They are carnival style and seasoned well. First time, I got the Chicago dog and second time, I got the one with pimento cheese. “Nice little spot off the highway. We stopped for a bite on the way home and were quite happy with the result. It got quieter through the night while there but the atmosphere was great and cleanliness was top notch. There was a lot of options for burgers from your basic to ones with a lot of add-ons. Unlike most places, there was not a ton of salt used evem on the fries and it wasnt overkill on it. Surprising for a burger place. There was a ton of options for beer on tap as well as your usual alcohol options. Our waitress was fairly attentive without being overbearing but was always within earshot to help us. Great place and would definitely go again when back in the area.“

“Went with my husband 2 weeks ago. The food was great and the atmosphere cozy. The food was really good. We had calamari for our app. Came out nice and hot. Very good and not chewy. I had hot honey chicken sandwich and my husband had smash burger. Fries were hot and crispy. Top notch food. No complaints there.

Service was a mix bag. Our server while made sure our drinks were always filled, seemed to have other people bringing our apps and dinner. Another server even took our dirty plates and asked if we needed anything else. Then our actual disappeared when we had finished eating. It took a fair bit of time for us to get our bill. I don't know of things were going on behind the scenes but it was a little annoying.“
