“Was looking for restaurants that had jerk chicken, and gave Teranga a try. I ordered the Yassa yap and jerk chicken with greens. The presentation and temperature were good, the jerk chicken and the side of rice were extremely delicious! The chicken was soft and flavorful. The rice was regular white rice but so web cooked, I loved it. I was not a fan of the Yassa yap which is lamb because the meat was chewy and it was mostly fat rather than meat. Also, the greens were not that great because they were mooshy. Overall, it was good to give it a try, I will try their oxtails next time.“
“Food was nicely seasoned and very friendly atmosphere. Most of the people there were speaking French and watching le foot on TV. Portions were large and it was so good I ate the whole thing. I had the thiebou jenn. Decorating is not their forte“
“Glad I finally came here and will return many times. You get a lot of delicious food for your money with fast service.I got the Maffe (peanut butter sauce with meat over white rice). It was super good and enough for 2 meals (3 with sides).They have a porch and courtyard in front for nice weather. Inside seats about 15 people.“
“It took the guy a while to ask for my order, although he saw me. The older guy came out from the back and was very polite and helpful, and I ended up ordering 4 meals. All were wonderful, I ordered the fish with rice, okra sauce with lamb that was fall off the bone tender and rice, the leaf sauce and rice, and the grilled chicken with rice. The store was ice cold, so that was my only complaint with the inside of the restaurant I definitely couldn't eat in if I wanted to. But I will most definitely be back. Everything was perfectly seasoned and spiced. The Vine Street restaurant has gone downhill since 2000. This is definitely the best African food in Cincy. Didn't see half of the things below on the menu.“
“If aroma was an atmosphere, 5 star—ten times 5 stars. I ordered the domada with fufu. I may not live in Cincinnati but anytime I come to visit, I will be stopping by here. I intend to take every dish on the menu. That’s how good the lamb is.“
