While we went at noon, the music and decor were as relaxing as an evening or even late- night event. Our server Simeon was professional and committed to make our meal a memorable one. At our request, he described different dishes, telling us what he recommended and what to expect. He was attentive without hovering. The food was as outstanding as was the service. While the shrimp toast appetizer, Wong's chicken, and Clay pot were delicious, beautifully prepared, we were overwhelmed by the presentation, taste, and experience of the coconut bread pudding with rum sauce. “This was a last minute stop and I am SO glad that we did. The atmosphere is amazing, and the decor is STUNNING. The owners are super sweet, they come around and make you feel like you are part of the family! They even surprised my daughter with a scoop of vanilla ice cream ! I 1010 recommend this place. The best General Tso chicken!!!! Amazing Crab rangoons. My husband said it was the best egg roll that he had ever had and it was super fresh. !! Come eat here and show it some love !!“

“The food is incredible. It’s not your average Chinese restaurant. Even typical items like orange chicken are very significantly better than other Chinese restaurants. So many authentic options. I’ve had takeout and dine-in and have never been disappointed.“

“I am very critical of where I buy Chinese food. I have to say, Golden Chen was the best I have had in years. Even the reheated leftovers were mouth watering and making me wish I had more.
I don't have any pictures, I enjoyed my food too thoroughly to bother. But I had an egg roll and Chicken with Broccoli.
The egg roll was freshly made, crunchy yet soft on the inside and filled with a delicious variety of vegetables.
The Chicken and Broccoli was juicy and succulent. There was enough chicken for you to have a piece with every bite. The broccoli was perfectly steamed and abundant. There were sliced carrots that soaked up the sauce. Now the sauce 😋!!!! The perfect amount of, what seemed like, extra sauce that coated everything and was so packed with an amazing taste. Can I get this separately? Oh, so freaking good.
Now the last thing.... And this made the meal top notch, was the fried rice. A light brown in color full of peas, onions and small carrot pieces. It wasn't dry like so many other restaurants and had a flavor that was out of this world.
Combining all of these amazing foods.... Fantastic 😍

“Absolutely the best customer service. The food is also worth mentioning first! My order came out in less than 4 minutes during peak lunchtime. This restaurant has been consistently one of my favorites for over 20 years. You cannot go wrong here. Sichuan noodles 🍜 are amazing, the egg rolls are delicious. The lunch specials are great too! My Absolute favorite dish is their Tom Kah Kai Soup with noodles!“

“The food and service are outstanding. The restaurant is clean. Gender neutral bathroom for customers only.
Love the 2 and 3 entree plates, it's an inexpensive way to get several choices, and the take home orders are large enough to share.
They have two free parking spots in back for customers, three metered spots on the street for anyone, and a metered parking lot across the street, (50cents for 15 minutes). There's a garage behind the restaurant. I don't know if it's paid or free parking.“

“We often pick up food from China Wok, and they are always ready on a timely basis. They have a broad menu and do a good job with their food preparation.

Vegetarian options: Nice selection.

Dietary restrictions: They offer a very good steamed vegetable and protein plate.“

The teriyaki chicken skewers were a standout: juicy, not dry at all, with just the right amount of seasoning. The flavor was balanced — delicious without being overpowering.

Overall, a great experience. Sometimes simple, well-prepared dishes done right say it all. I’ll definitely be back for those skewers again!“

“Overall, the food is very good. I always get the General Tso Chicken and it’s very good. The meal comes with a lot of rice with the main dish. Also, the egg-rolls are very good and I would highly recommend getting them. If your hungry for Chinese food then this is a great spot to come and try!“

“A friend of my wife’s recently recommended this place and we had a DoorDash and it was absolutely phenomenal and perfect! I’ve had lots of Chinese over the years, but this place beat them all!! The crab raccoon I could eat 100 of them lol but we got the lo mein and we got sesame chicken and we’ve also had the honey chicken. Everything was perfect.“

“Not all Chinese restaurants are the same. And each one has its specialities. This one does a very good job in what they specialize, which is Guangdong/Shanghai style dish. What that means is that their speciality is not Sichuanese. So if you go there, you should order Guangdong/Shanghai food not Sichuanese. They do a phenomenal job with that dish.

You should get:
- Shanghai Style Eggplants
- Moo Goo Gai
- Sizzling Seafood Combination
(Any seafood menu was good from my experience)

These are not the best:
- Mapa Tofu or Double Cooked Pork (they are Sichuanese dish)“

“A true hidden gem. Out of a large amount of Asian restaurants that I frequent, the service and, above all, the quality of the homemade dumplings was superlative. I feel lucky to be a mile away from being able to take advantage of their food and service.“

That's the only real sour note, he demanded a tip and we had to get change, it felt extortionist, We're only a minute away so I wasn't sure why he demanded it, we had to scrounge change. That was a little while back. But I can't seem to recommend this place without one of my friends or neighbors telling me about their driver and how they're put off now.

Ready in about 5 minutes, granted there was only 1 other customer there at the time. $19 total bill for all 3 items.“

“I took my 2yr old and 7yr old here for lunch and they had a fun time cooking their own food. We got the bento lunch and it was delicious. I recommend the miso broth and spicy chicken. The mushroom broth is very light and tasty too. They keep napkins in a drawer under the front of the table which was very helpful with kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My son was fascinated by the robot server. We will definitely be back soon. One of the best dining experiences we've had in a long long time.“
