“We had dinner at the downtown location this evening to celebrate my son’s graduation from the military, and leaving to report to his first assignment. From the time we were seated, to the time we left, several staff members came over to shake his hand and thank him for his service, even the General Manager. We always receive exceptional care from any Jeff Ruby’s establishment, but are so grateful to our amazing server Peter along with all of the other staff who took the time to make our family feel so special. We will support this business until the end of time! Thank you for being such a wonderful place to visit!“

“We love supporting our local businesses and love that nearly everything on the menu here is locally sourced. There are many positives for this restaurant, including warm & inviting service. The complimentary bubbly is also such a sweet touch! The ambience is unique and cozy so, overall, service is 10/10. I wish I felt differently about this next part, but I can’t say that the food is worth the price. It’s quite expensive for what it is. Nothing we received was bad by any means—it was good! But we had one entree (one of the cheaper options), two sides, two drinks, and spent nearly $200 after tip. In my opinion, charging $15 for a side of lightly seasoned roasted potatoes is too much, especially when the entrees easily run $60-80 by themselves. Plus, the average cocktail was $16. I would feel differently if everything tasted exquisite, but it all tasted good. Nothing particularly special, I hate to say. The spices in everything were conservative, and it seems that the majority of the flavor relies on the raw ingredients themselves. I applaud their choice of truly quality ingredients, but for the price we paid, I would expect a lot more flavor to be woven in via additional culinary choices.“

“Chris was our server in the bar area today and he was great! Attentive and let us chat while keeping our glasses full. Food was fantastic! Ordered the white wine chicken and the caramelized grilled sea scallops. Delicious and recommend both. Dishes are seasonal so the menu changes regularly. Beautiful atmosphere and very pretty bar area. Small patio area to sit outside or inside with the windows open.“

“Went here for a date night and left so full and happy!! Our server, Jenny, took such good care of us. It was nice to have the menu and specials explained to us in details and got a lot of recommendations from her, too. We ordered the crab cakes, mussels, lamb rack, their steak and crab special for the night. Everything was cooked to perfection with right seasonings and temp. We really enjoyed the special-the filet mignon was soooo tender and the crab was sweet! It was cool to have a candle lit butter and Cajun spiced lemon on the side for the crab. We were so stuffed at the end but couldn’t help but get dessert to go. The crème brûlée NY cheesecake is SUCH a treat and I’m so glad we got it. Service was 10/10, would recommend everyone to go here for nicer dinners.“

“This place cares about their customers and goes above and beyond. I cannot say enough about this location. My family comes here often (1-2 times a month) and tonight they blew us away with kindness. We came in at 10 thinking they closed at 11 to place a to go order for my husband. He just finished a HARD move between our old and new house. My husband was running on 4 hrs of sleep after working 3-11:30 and then getting up to pack and then go back to work again. His only requests were to feed him when he got home + have swim trunks ready for the hot tub. But it was a Wednesday night……. And they closed at 10… not 11. The team said, we’ve got you and was so kind to make our food (when they didn’t have to at all). The food was delicious (as always) and they made this day special for my husband and our family.

“We ate at Prime tonight and it was over the top. The filet was the best steak I’ve ever tasted. The Half Baked Cookie à la mode was delicious and worth every calorie. The service was impeccable. “At first glance after reading the complaint below (Donald George Heuning III’s remarks), I was a little disappointed as it’s been a several weeks since I’ve visited but have enjoyed many meals over the years at the Cove. There’s just something special about a steakhouse that’s been around long enough to become part of your life’s timeline. For me, this place has been exactly that. I’ve been eating here for years — birthdays, casual dinners, celebrations, and random nights when only a perfectly cooked steak will do. Walking in still feels familiar in the best way: the warm lighting, the smell of steaks hitting the grill, and the sense that a lot of good memories have happened in those dining rooms. Over the years, the steaks have consistently been the star of the show. When they’re on point — which is most of the time — they’re phenomenal. Great char, cooked just right, and the kind of flavor that reminds you why classic steakhouses never go out of style. The sides and appetizers have also had some standouts, and it’s the kind of place where you can settle in, take your time, and enjoy a proper meal. Like any place that’s been around a long time, it hasn’t always been perfect. Every now and then the service has felt a little rushed or distracted, especially on busier nights. I’ve also had the occasional visit where a steak wasn’t quite cooked the way I ordered it, or a side dish felt like it had been sitting a little too long before making its way to the table. “If you go, you have to request Tristan as your server. Walked me and my girlfriend through the menu and gave us some delightful choices while providing a great overall experience for a date night. Also, idk what what they got going on in that kitchen but I love it, the tomahawk was cooked and seasoned to perfection, sweet potato casserole was to die for. And the cheesecake was unforgettable. Also the drinks recommended blueberry mojito and blackberry sidecar were spot and delicious yet strong. Overall a fantastic experience and highly recommended!“
