“Great food and great value here! We had the Lo mein, crab rangoon, and sweet and sour chicken. The serving sizes are very large. I ate the lo mein again for breakfast and there's still enough for lunch! Food met expectations and tasted fresh.Walk in pickup only, dining area blocked off.“

“Not sure why the Google reviews are so bad. They have hundreds of reviews on DoorDash with 4.5 star rating.
I ordered the pork mei fun and it was good. Next time I think I’ll just get the lo mein. The mei fun didn’t have a whole lot of flavor.
The food was ready when I walked in the door and it was still piping hot when I got it home. Will definitely be back!“

“Newly renovated dining area, super friendly servers.
I enjoyed all the food except the cross-bridge rice noodles. To me, cross-bridge rice noodles are supposed to have really oily and heavy chicken broth as soup base. The heavy chicken broth not only give cross-bridge rice noodles its rich flavor and creamy texture, but also helps keep the noodle warm (enough to cross the bridge. That's exactly why it's named like that). This on the other hand, is more like a regular rice noodles, just served in a heated pot. The taste is not bad though, it's just not reaching my standards of cross-bridge rice noodles, sorry.

“Thank you very much. Food was very well enjoyed by many people. The party trays can seriously feed more than 10 people. Orange, sesame chicken, lo mein was all wonderful. Made the food on time and the staff is extremely nice and sweet. One of the women even helped carry my food to my car and gave me a box to take it in. Thank you guys. Keep up the good work.“

“Husband picked up our food but he said service was great. There is no inside seating. The food was amazing! We had wonton soup, veggie lo mein, pork fried rice, pot stickers, and split an egg roll. I’ve been craving wonton soup. We got some yesterday from a different restaurant. It was awful. This more than made up for it. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. We will definitely get take away again. Highly recommend. (Sorry for the low quality photos. The lighting isn’t great right now.)
Wheelchair accessibility: Bumpy but a wheelchair can access the window.“

“The service is terrible. The Lady is very rude, but you won’t mind because the food is fantastic. Get the number 23 which is three types of dumplings on top of noodles in a soup. It’s very large and very filling and the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted.“

“I have been going here ever since I was a teenager, and even worked at save a lot next to them. The staff treats me and my sister like family, and they have the best sesame chicken I have ever had. The sweet and sour pork is to die for and I love their spring rolls. Thank you for being a good restaurant in a small community, I will be stopping by soon!“

“The food is always amazing and very well priced! Brings me back to China The atmosphere is minimal, a little cold in the winter, and only 1 waitress but the flavor more than makes up for it!I recommend getting 3 dishes from the family style section per 2 people; you'll have leftovers. Rice is included“

“Our server Meghan was amazing here on Valentines night 2025. Thanks for the great food and great service! The picture is of my empty teriyaki chicken and my husband’s empty orange chicken plates! The food was very good. We ordered Northern ribs (they don’t have sauce) Meghan was nice enough to get us some sauce on the side then we decided that we liked them with AND without the sauce. We will be back!“

“Mostly delivery and take out but there are a couple tables so you can eat in the restaurant. Food is of reasonably good quality and well prepared. But, not the best Chinese food available but less expensive than the restaurants in the Asian neighborhood of Cleveland.
I have been eating here for decades and have consumed hundreds of meals at this restaurant. Overall I do recommend this restaurant for a quick, good value, made to order meal.“

“Good food! Make sure you ask for the sauces that you want. For example, soy sauce and sweet sauce. I hate the mustard. If you order egg foo young, you have to get extra gravy because the patties are big (3) they don't give you enough. The shrimp egg rolls are ok. You may find 1/2 shrimp.
Parking: You can park in front of the restaurant or on the side. Sometimes, extremely busy, so it can be a problem“

“I had a wonderful experience at this charming restaurant, run by the sweetest elderly couple. They work so hard to provide great service, and it’s clear they put a lot of love into everything they do. I encourage everyone to visit and show kindness to this hardworking couple. Let’s support them and make sure their efforts are appreciated!“

“When Richmond Mall was in decline, and then closed, and then the Pandemic hit, a lot of stores in that neighborhood also closed or barely hung on.
That included a once thriving Chinese restaurant on Richmond Road right across of the Mall, Hunan East. Since 2020, it was limited to take out only.
Hunan East is back as a full service restaurant for the first time since the beginning of the Pandemic! It has new very experienced ownership, and the food is OUTSTANDING!
If it’s not on the menu they will make it by request. For example, they made me the best Hot and Sour Soup I’ve ever had. Because I don’t eat pork, they made steamed pot stickers stuffed with chicken and vegetables. On the menu, a first for us, Chicken with Chinese Egg Plant was delicious.
Vegetarian options: See attached menu“

“Ordered takeout and went to pick it up. Only in the location briefly to pick up our order. Easy enough, in and out.
Their menu was a little hard to find online before ordering, but from some photos of the menu, we figured it out.
I got chicken and broccoli combo meal/dinner and my wife got the chicken lo mein combo meal/dinner. Plus an order of crab Rangoon.
Both meals were tasty enough. I thought the crab Rangoon was a little heavy on scallions, but okay. Egg rolls were good too.
Order total was about $27.
We passed another place on our way there, as they were closed on Tuesdays, so for convenience we might go there next time rather than coming back here, but that's not about the food, just the distance from our house. We'll probably go back, but want to try other places first.“

“A hidden gem just around the corner from Cleveland's Asia Town neighborhood! Good prices for the large portions of excellent, fresh food. Very friendly service, and the staff are clearly well-liked and respected by local residents. Another great plus is that they're open late. Also, they have a full bar and they sling some excellent cocktails. Try the signature drink, the Zombie ... you'll love it :) The business has been around for decades, and is definitely worth a visit!“

“Well there prices have gone WAY up but on top of that on the weekends they want to charge you an additional 18% they say there open until 9pm I was there at 810 pm the doors were locked what a bunch of lies I dove 43 miles for that but rest assured going back will be hard because I went to Boo Long up the street what a pleasant surprise they also close at 9pm but welcomed me in at 835 been going to Me Wah and king Wah for YEARS but am now rethinking it“

“Very no frills, hole-in-the-wall vibe, so if you’re looking for ambiance, this place is not for you because you’ll be dining in complete silence in what feels like a bland office lounge.
Having said that, the hot pot here is solid. The spicy broth is VERY spicy, not for the faint of heart. The portions here are enormous - my better half and I were not expecting heaping mounds of meat cuts since most hot pot places tend to be conservative with their servings, so order one plate at a time to avoid waste (this applies to the veggies as well).“

“I tried many different Chinese restaurant but this one has the best tase so far. For example, the wonton wrap is thinner making it better to eat and less carb, the noodle/lo mein is also lighter somehow but taste better. Anyway, it has good taste, feels less heavy on the stomach with affordable price, so my husband and I love it here.“

“The service was great, they are very welcoming compared to their local competitors (li garden)Atmosphere also seemed better than their competitors. But, I don’t believe the food was better.. the lo mein was better, but the shrimp chips was over cooked and the egg rolls was okay.. nothing major about them.I do enjoy that they have more options for egg rolls.. i may have some bias options because I enjoy the competitor and this was my second time ordering food from China mountain II… but, I would definitely come back.I would love to make a video and judge the 2 places side by side for locals.. but, i dont see the point when its only locals that would care about the video. Lol!

“Had dinner here on their patio tonight before a show at HOB. The pho and Vietnamese coffee were delicious. The beer is fairly priced. And the fried bananas with Lychee iceh cream were perfect. The bar across the way is blasting music to get people revved for the Cavs playoff game later tonight, and we're enjoying the party.“

“We used to go to Dragon Garden as it was close and really good. Since they closed, we were looking for legit standard Chinese takeout and think we've found it. The Pork Fried Rice and Shrimp Fried Rice were fantastic. They were not stingy at all with the pork or shrimp. The Pork was not fatty either. The Lo Mein noodles were a little overdone, but they loaded it with chicken, so good there too. The Wonton Soup was also great, huge dumplings and had great flavor. The Orange Chicken was also great, and you could actually taste the orange. Egg Rolls were pretty good, same as the Crab Rangoon. Service was great; they were really fast and really kind.
Overall, if you liked Dragon Garden in Northfield Center and are looking for replacement Chinese takeout, please consider this place. We will definitely be going back and they have earned 5/5.“

“This is my favorite local quick Chinese place. They stopped delivering to our house during the pandemic but we still drive out of our way to pick up take out from there. Hot fresh classic American style Chinese food. Love their hot and sour soup— it’s filling and chock full of pork, tofu, and mushrooms. The chicken stick appetizer is scrumptious, we always get two orders of those. Try the Tori teriyaki chicken if you want something savory with zero heat. As with most cheap Chinese takeout joints I do not recommend ordering beef dishes, but anything made with chicken, shrimp, or pork has always been good. If you order direct from the restaurant you save money versus delivery service apps.
Low rating for atmosphere because it is what it is— a hole in the wall takeout place with a plastic barrier in front of the register. Grab your food and go eat in comfort at your house.“

Parking: Parking is on the side of the building with plenty of spaces.“

“Why are people complaining about the rice? It's literally the best rice I've found in the area! Some of their mains are a bit on the sweeter side than I like, but I could live off the sweet n sour chicken combo, it's so good!“

“Fresh food and very delicious! Only reason I give 4 stars is the outside needs work. It's possible that they are new to the area and are just starting up. This place is well worth the stop. I'm new to the area, but I will be eating there again! Not sure if they deliver we walked in to order. It didn't take a long time to get our food. It was very reasonably priced and well worth it. The servings were large, the staff courteous. I found my new Chinese takeout restaurant ! Thank you for the delicious Orange Chicken and General Tao's Chicken! Both well worth it! So glad we chose your place. It was a good choice!“

“Your standard Chinese food place with all the usual hits. But service is prompt, the food is better than average, the location is convenient, and the restaurant is clean and open when it says it is - which believe it or not can be something of a rarity for this particular neighborhood. It might be 3-4 stars if you're used to a fancy Chinese restaurant in a more upscale area, but for a local takeout place in Midtown this is as good as it gets.“

“These people are the absolute greatest owners ever , the food is fantastic and the owners are so nice and hospitable. That's why I've been going there for the last 5 years“

“It's not an "done in" restaurant, so the atmosphere is pretty much irrelevant. The food is great! I've ordered everything they have on the menu over the years and enjoyed it all. Yes occasionally there will be a mishap and your order may not be satisfactory (but it is nowhere near as bad as McDonald's record) but they've always helped me with my issue politeness is key to resolving an issue, even for customers.“

“Yi Er Chuan is owned by the same family that runs Szechuan Gourmet (one of our favorite Chinese restaurants of all time) so we were excited to give it a try. The food, however, was actually a bit hit or miss. The tomato hotpot base was jam packed with flavor and umami richness and was hands down one of the best I've ever tasted, the vegetables and shredded beef were fresh, and the portion sizes were great value for the money. On the other hand, the dried tofu and the scallion pancake had a slightly off flavor, as if they were cooked with old oil or stored improperly. Moreover, while the signature malatang soup base was nutty and sufficiently spicy and numbing (especially when ordered at the "extra spicy" level!), it was also lacking in depth of flavor, and was boring to eat after a while. Maybe it would have been improved by a dipping sauce. The restaurant interior was clean but otherwise unremarkable, the waitstaff were exceptionally prompt and friendly, and the online touchpad ordering system was super convenient. Overall, this would be a great restaurant to bring newbies to introduce them to the concept of hotpot (since you don't need to worry about doing your own cooking), and we would come back, but it doesn't take the place of the original Szechaun Gourmet or some of the other "do it all yourself" hotpot restaurants in town.
Vegetarian options: Per the waitstaff, all soup bases are vegetarian. There are also a lot of vegetable and tofu options for hotpot or dry pot or stir fry.
Parking: Some limited parking in front of the store, lots of street parking on adjacent roads a block or two away.“
