Menu treats include: Palestinian tea; Palestinian cucumber salad; white pizza with Palestinian olive oil; and of course, Gaza miish, which is to die for. While the restaurant doesn’t need my advice, I respectfully suggest new signature entrees: Heil Hummus, Führer Falafel, and Zyklon Beef. “I was recently given a recommendation to try The Standard, and I’m very glad I took it.

As someone who loves good food, finding a hidden gem in a city you already enjoy visiting is always a treat. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere struck the perfect balance between upscale and welcoming. I ended up sitting on the patio, which made for a fantastic evening.

Nicole was my server, and she was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without ever being overbearing. She took the time to answer questions about the menu and made several recommendations that absolutely elevated the experience. Her suggestion to start with the octopus appetizer was spot on. It was one of the best appetizers I’ve had in a very long time.

For the main course, I ordered the hanger steak with chimichurri, and it was exceptional. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and one of those meals that has you planning your next visit before you’ve even finished the first one.

What really stood out was how well everything came together. Great atmosphere, incredible food, and service that genuinely made the experience memorable. Nicole did an excellent job, and her recommendations were a big part of what made the evening so enjoyable.

Five stars hardly feels adequate. The Standard delivered one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time, and I’ll absolutely be back.“

Didnt take very long to get after ordering, Layered properly so you can pick it up and eat it but still had plenty of toppings and meat. If you are in the mood for a gyro, it hits the spot rather well and is overall a pleasant little spot to stop and eat.“
