I used to take our kids here all the time when they went to central crossing. After games, after homecoming dance. We loved it. We moved away for a while and were in the area so took our other child and his girlfriend. I'm still shocked at myself for eating because it didn't meet my standards of cleanliness but we were starving and I could see the cook who appeared clean and the cooking area was clean. Drive thru speaker is too close to highway. The noise makes it impossible to hear what they are saying when you order. The person who took our order was not very pleasant and was short with me when I asked a question. If you don’t like your job then maybe you shouldn’t work there.

There was only one other table full in the whole restaurant and 99% of them were dirty. I knew that was a bad sign but we ordered anyway because we normally love steak n shake. Sprite syrup was out, I let them know and the manager was rude about it. Then out of nowhere they brought me another sprite that was not only straight soda water (no syrup), it was somehow even worse than the first one. Only got 2 stars because the food was decent.
