“My fiancee and I visited here for her birthday, the premium tour and sake paring were absolutely mind blowing. The bar seating omakase experience was fantastic. This was the best meal I have had in my lifetime. Everything was prepared with such extreme care and attention to detail by some.of the friendliest and knowledgeable folks in their craft. Well done everyone and thank you for an amazing evening she will not forget.“

“This restaurant is over the top. We sat in front of the kitchen staff and watched the staff who made our food in real time. I got the shrimp truffle rice, AMAZING!! Everything was amazing. If the restaurant could let me sleep there, then wake up and eat again, I would live there. The staff was so professional and friendly, our a server was Rodney and he knows his job. “I can't say enough about our incredible experience tonight at Kona Grill. I just got diagnosed with cancer, had my first chemo last Friday and finally felt well enough to get out. I've loved Kona since the first time I came in 2003 yall. So for me it's one of my favorites. Jacquelyn and Juan could not have made my first outing post chemo/newly bald more memorable. This before they knew I had just experienced a very challenging week. That aside the food was phenomenal, I had the macadamia nut chicken and holy Hannah the dessert! Made in house and absolutely incredible. I simply can't say enough. The environment, the service, the food. Worth every moment.“

The cuts of fish were also quite thick but not too much and the flavors balanced wonderfully together. “This is my go-to take out sushi spot for downtown! Everything is always tasty, comes out timely, and the staff is always friendly. I eat here at least once a month.

The only complaint I have is that the sushi portions can be unpredictable. The last few times I have went there, I have not had much fish in my sushi orders.
One of my favorite dishes is the Japanese Curry! It always hits the spot!“

“Went here for a company lunch outing and overall had a great experience. The food and service were both solid—our party of 8 was well taken care of, and everyone enjoyed their meals. Our chef was friendly and entertaining, doing all the classic hibachi tricks and gags. While not quite as impressive as some chefs I've seen at other Japanese steakhouses, he still made it fun. The only downside was that they were actively training staff at the table directly behind us during our lunch, which felt a bit out of place and slightly distracting. Otherwise, a good spot for group dining.“

“For dinner this buffet is a lotter pricier, about $30 a person, however they have a lot to offer. If you like fresh sushi this is the place for you. The have lots of it, the regular Asian favorites including fish, soft shell crab, frog legs etc. They also have fresh pho bar and a hibachi bar where you pick your raw items and they will cook on the hibachi grille for you. So it is definitely worth the money!“
