“This restaurant is exceptional; my local friend has been hyping it up for years, but they’ve always been closed when I’m visiting Columbus. The staff were so kind, everything was easily made vegan, and the dishes were incredibly delicious. One of my omnivorous pals said the lasagna was how he always dreamed that dish should taste, but never does. I was relieved to hear this, since they switched the dairy cheese with cashew cheese. Easily one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve been to, can’t wait to come back“

“This was my first experience at BD's Mongolian Grill, and I walked in with no expectations whatsoever. To my surprise, my expectations were completely exceeded! One of the most exciting aspects was the ability to select my own ingredients from various fresh vegetables, meats, and noodles. Watching the skilled chefs cook my custom creation right before my eyes was truly captivating; the vibrant colors and sizzling sounds made for an engaging dining experience.

The food was excellent—each bite was flavorful, and I loved the option to customize sauces for an added kick. “I was invited there for lunch today. Atmosphere is very nice and service was great. Since I wasn't paying I didn't order a steak. I ordered the lasagna special, which came with a side salad and bread. The salad and bread were delicious. The lasagna was good (not great) but the bottom layer was burned. It's made with sausage so has a slight spicy taste. Sauce was good. I was able to eat the top layers fine. Others ordered a cheeseburger and French dip. Each came with fries. They loved their lunches. The fries were shoestring and cooked perfectly. I did taste and they were delicious. Overall, I'd go again but I would probably get a burger and fries. Maybe a steak if I were going to dinner with my husband but honestly I doubt I go for dinner.“

“Always hits the spot. I get it right when I'm getting sick, and it's like a warm hug on a winter day. I recommend the saltah (vegetable soup), the foul stew (lentils) with a side of kabz arabi (bread). Incredible hidden gem. Found it from the Columbus Food Adventures Alt Eats food tour. Have been back a couple times since.“

“Vegan options are clearly marked. The hummus was rated best in Columbus for a reason. It's amazing!!! Everything here is great. The falafel, pita, rice, all very fresh and spiced perfectly! “Best fast casual type of restaurant you'll find anywhere but at some point there needs to be a conversation about some of the staff at the short north location... almost every time I go I have an experience so odd it feels like I am getting pranked by a hidden camera. If someone were to tell me they're testing AI robots that work off a limited script I would understand, and also feel better about robots taking human facing jobs. Foods still fantastic and won't impact me from going at least once a week but the robo staff experience has happened too many times to not start the conversation about getting some humans back behind the counter slinging the best food in town.“

“What a unique experience! As soon as I walked in the door I felt like the restaurant transported me to another place! The language is definitely Portuguese here but they do speak English as well although I am Puerto Rican so my Spanish could fend for itself there. I came alone and was sitted within like 10 minutes and then I forgot to put a coat down and someone took my table. After I got out of the line the servers helped me find a new table and offered different sauces to try with my meal. Everything was great but my favorite was the picanha! My only tip when you go here is to be confident speak up, it’s a busy restaurant but everyone seems willing to help. Great first time experience.“

“We dined here for our 6 year anniversary dinner and could not have been happier with our choice. We were seated 15 minutes early for our 7pm reservation, and promptly given water. Our server Chandler was great. He took the time to explain the menu, specials and make recommendations for drinks. Throughout the evening he was very attentive and available, at the end of our meal he even boxed my leftovers and gave us a free dessert! I was more than impressed with the food. The rolls were soft and pillowy on the inside, but had a wonderfully crisp crust with just the right amount of salt. The tavern salad was truly refreshing too. The greens were crisp and fresh, the slightly sweet vinaigrette was perfectly mixed and the gorgonzola cheese was a fantastic compliment to it all. The beef stroganoff was absolutely divine. The sauce was one of the best I have ever had! The noodles were perfectly cooked and thick, there was plenty of tender beef and a generous amount of mushrooms. I came hungry and could only eat half of it too! I would order this over and over again! My fiancé ordered the porterhouse with asparagus and a side of scallops. He raved about the scallops all night! He said they were the best he has had, even better than a seafood restaurants'. He enjoyed his steak as well, which was cooked just to his liking and seasoned nicely. He almost started chewing the bone to get the last bits of meat off! He said the asparagus had a light lemon and salt flavor. To finish the meal we chose the crème brûlée. The crust was thick, the custard rich and the whole thing quite addictive. I would order it again for sure. Our meal, which had 2 cocktails too, came out to under $200 even with a 25% tip. We think it was certainty worth the price for the attentiveness of the staff and quality and flavors of the food we received. We are looking forward to coming back!“
