“I cannot recommend Song Lan more! I cannot believe this evening was my first time stopping in. I’ve been meaning to check it out for quite some time. However, I organized a meetup for dinner at North Market before a comedy show in Bridge Park and North Market was unexpectedly closed for a private event. A friend and I went separate ways to find a place that could get 10 of us in last minute. The staff was so kind and sat us in a beautiful back room. Our waitress was so kind, the atmosphere was perfect, and the food was out of this world amazing! Cannot wait to go back!“

“While the space is small it doesn't feel it. The staff is professional and attentive. The food is amazing! Definitely recommend making reservations. The food is so fresh tasting and actually authentic! My husband was so impressed and happy that the food was actually authentic and cooked correctly. They have items other Asian restaurants do not. If you are an Asia foodie you have to try this place! We cant wait to come back it is worth the price and the drive!“

“Always extremely delicious food! The people are amazing! They are always very nice and if you ask politely you can get some extra sauce on your meal! Every time my wife and I come to the mall, we eat here. This place definitely beats out the other places around the food court.“

I eat here maybe 5-8 times a year depending on my travel schedule and Kyoto has never let me down...today was simply another great meal. “3/31 we arrived at around 730/8pm and the staff was very friendly and accommodating! They allowed us to store our cake in the kitchen, they sang and had a sparkler still even tho we opted out of a party package (because of our own cake). That was very very nice and unexpected and also gave us the best and funniest memory because the team singing said hbp Chapter and chapter 16 (was for sweet 16)... After they finished they realized the table laughing and they found out her correct name and came singing again we already hadn't expected it so a 2nd time had us all res faced and laughing! My daughter ordered a mocktail the bartender forgot to make but when I asked to cancel they still brought it and said happy birthday and didn't charge, she didn't drink it as she got a different drink while waiting! She like the way it was decorated and for her pics tho!

I felt so bad for our shelf as we have a child that is not able to eat mushrooms and re made the rice for him because he had forgotten to remove before cooking anyways he was so patient and kind! The way he separated the egg yolk was neat and his trick was good!

They have bacon bits on their salads which is another win and the yumyum is good too if you like it

We tried a large selection: edamame, ebi shumai, salmon onigiri, fried squid, ebi tempura, miso ramen, chicken katsu bento box, tonkotsu ramen, teriyaki don, red bean ice cream and sasadango. Everything was delicious. Our youngest liked it so much, we’re coming back for their birthday. Our server Natalie was wonderful also.“

“WOW… House of Japan near Polaris Mall in Columbus, Ohio was absolutely packed for Mother’s Day, but they still had us seated in about 30 minutes which was impressive with how busy they were.

The hibachi experience was phenomenal. Watching the chef cook everything fresh right in front of us made it a fun experience instead of just dinner. I ordered the filet mignon cooked medium and it came out perfect. Great food, great atmosphere, generous portions, and the staff kept things moving smoothly even with the crowd.

If you’re in the Columbus area and want a fun dinner spot, House of Japan at Polaris is definitely worth checking out.“
