“My husband and I celebrated our 39th anniversary at this location. We have been to their other location in short north and really love that and thought we would try this. We loved our cocktails, and we had the spicy tuna rice roll was our FAVORITE?
! , The riverside roll and the angry lobster roll were great! They were all so fantastic! We also asked for the fresh wasabi, which made it extra special and fresh. we ended our evening with this wonderful orange dessert which looks like a real orange but inside it’s a moose dessert. It was fantastic! We have to say that our waitress was fabulous! We would definitely go in and ask for her again.“

“I have an amazing meal every time I visit yoshis. This time for a small plate I got shrimp stuffed shoshito peppers and they were incredible. Highly recommend. My partner got the pork Tariyaki entree and the pork was incredible.

You can't go wrong w the sushi. We got the nigiri plate to share and the fish was perfect. Fresh, excellent cut, perfect rice.

Every time I want to enjoy a really high quality Japanese dinner I go to Yoshis.

Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian sushi options and other small plates and entrees that are vegetarian.

You can literally watch the food being made, and although it's no Genjis or House Japan - for the price and quality it's definitely worth the few minute wait in order to experience that within a "fast food" environment!! “We came to Columbus for a family weekend trip. Dinner for 11 of us was at House of Japan. Everyone talked about how the food was delicious and plentiful. The experience of having the that food cooked in front of you is always a great time. We all highly recommend this Japanese Hibachi and Steak House.

“What a great option for quick sushi or Poki. Their standard menu options are a bit plain, but you have the ability to truly customize your roll or poki, and I have gotten quite good at making A1 quality rolls from what they offer. Highly recomment, especially if you want quick good sushi without the cost and time of a sit down dinner. Only issue was how cold it is! Please turn up the thermostat, we don't want to eat in a fridge.“

“We were a few minutes before opening and they greeted us with open arms. Very attentive service and the food was excellent. Only odd issue was that they appeared to be deep cleaning the walls and floors in a section of the restaurant. I didn’t think anything about it but my wife was a little creeped out by it.

But as a whole the experience was excellent and they were great.

“Went for lunch had the steak and shrimp it was very tasty. I could take or leave the yum yum. The ginger sauce was delicious. But the food was so good it didn't need any sauce. The portions are huge. Also had the crab rangoons they were delicious too.“

The takoyaki is a great deal, super flavorful and remind me of the takoyaki I had in Osaka.

The kimchi added a great kick to my Tonkotsu ramen and the paitan ramen was pure and tasty

I was in Columbus for work and dining alone. The host & bartender were so friendly that I immediately felt at home! I sat at the bar and was memorized by the Sushi Chef working his magic. The food and libations blew me away, along with the cool atmosphere. I ordered the spicy soy edamame, Sakura Roll & Toro Nigori. I highly recommend you stop by this awesome neighborhood establishment. You won't regret it :)“

There is only one server, though he is superb. Food takes a long time to prepare. So overall you would have to wait a bit longer than in other places.

The place is a bit away from the main street so it's not at the most convenient place. The lighting is a bit dark. On the other hand, it's very quiet, unlike some high-end restaurants nearby.

With all of the above, the most important thing is the food: it's too good so we used this place as our cafeteria during our week-long stay in Columbus!!!

And the price is reasonable, unlike some high-end places nearby!“

“Had a 6:30 reservation, and had to flag someone down to take our order, as other tables had arrived after. Turns out the server had an emergency. We get it. Anyways we ordered and after an hour and a half only had soup and salad. And the 2 kids meals. The kids had ate and were starting to turn in to pumpkins and being that food was not on the grill yet we decided to leave. The manager was super chill about it and took care of us. While this was a poor experiance, due to a i assume now reduced staff, and a hoppin restaurant we will fefinately return for redemption, and we urge you not tonpass this place up based on our review. Again, management was wonderful over the issue. The server who got thrown in the mix was wonderful. So check this place out!
