“We placed a curbside order at 555 pm which was supposed to be ready at 615. I got to the restaurant at 615 and called to let the restaurant know I was there and what parking spot I was in. The lady who answered my phone informed me they were running behind and it would be 20 or 30 minutes before my food was ready. When I inquired what was the problem I was told they have more customers in the restaurant than the wait staff or cooks can handle. She told me the manager was trying to get the numbers of and overwhelming the staff. I waited in my car and called back at 645. Funny thing is the first girl I talked to never told anyone I was waiting. At 652 I walked into the restaurant because no one brought my food out. I asked for the manger and a black guy with a bushy goatee. He refused to tell my how long my food had been ready after he walked over and looked at the computer screen. I asked again and he automatically said he was canceling my order. Again I asked how long it had been sitting there. At that point I informed him I would be contacting corporate. That’s when he told me he’d let his GM know and that if I didn’t leave he would call the police.“

“This is a seasonal car hop/ root beer stand, with outdoor seating. The food is good, made fresh when you order. Their menu consists or coney or hot dogs, sandwiches and burgers, tots, fries and onion rings, and ice cream or milk shakes. I recommend the root beer floats.“

“Had a great experience here!! Jeff, the manager, is very knowledgeable about food allergies and takes it seriously. Our granddaughter has a severe wheat allergy and rarely gets to eat at restaurants. We ordered her a cheeseburger wrapped in lettuce. Jeff made sure gloves were changed on the line and that no contamination occurred. “I took my kids to this location yesterday as a treat since school is about to start. We went inside but found out the dining room was closed. It was pretty obvious why, it was super hot. I’m thinking the AC is out. We weren’t ignored in the lobby, but I could tell the drive-thru was the focus at that time so we were standing there waiting for a bit - totally okay. I ended up deciding to just take my kids through the drive-thru. I have 3 kids and we all got food and ice cream 😬 When I tell you the person on the speaker was sooo nice. Usually when I order food from places, they ask “Is that it” continuously. It gives me anxiety. Like dang I know I’m getting a lot of food, I have a lot of kids. I’m sorry 😭😂 Anyway, again the person on the speaker did not make me feel rushed at all. Then at the window, the employee was so polite and even apologized for the wait on the food which wasn’t necessary because it really wasn’t that long, but I appreciated it. All of our food was hot and fresh. The ice cream was great too. Thank you!!!“

On top of that the new company policies like banning microwaves, beef tallow for their fried goods, and grass fed beef for the burgers. It went downhill a while ago but I can definitely say it has done a complete 360 and has honestly been one of our families favorite quick fast food locations now. Definitely better than McDonald's.“

Would definitely go back again and hope to be served by Pamela again. The manager on staff (unsure of name) was also amazing. Every staff member that helped us was also friendly and happy. I recommend giving them a try. We went on a Friday around 7pm and it was packed but everything went smooth.“
