“We like coming here. It’s a chill atmosphere with great food! We also like that it’s what we call a fun dive bar and miss these type of places since our old dive bar we hung out at closed a few years ago. Definitely a place to check out and hang out at!“

“This is THE SPOT!Small grub spot in the Portage Lakes area with outstanding service and food! Clean and cool atmosphere. Hand breaded Cod is better than places I have had on the CA coast. Fresh cut fries and fresh Broasted chicken is absolutely delicious and the portions leave you full and satisfied. This is a must if your are in the area. Its actually worth a half day drive through Ohio to visit. ?“
“Huge fan of High St. Hope House!! Such an awesome atmosphere and perfect place to just unwind and relax! They have so much on the menu and the fernet bottles up above the bar are all signed by people who completed them! This place is perfect for the people in the bar scene industry or those who just love to relax with the bartenders and listen to some music!!“

“I'm 35, and I've been going to the Main St saloon since I could remember. 5-6yrs old. Back when they had the .99 cent jumbo burger, and the boxing in the basement (I was too young to actually go down there) This place holds so many fond memories along with amazing great good, vibes, and energy. Definitely will definitely stay in the top 3 of my favorite food joints.“

“Great food. Friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. Incredible atmosphere, a very unique space - inside and outside. Very eclectic cocktail menu and the food menu changes almost daily. Hidden gem in a neighborhood that's headed in the right direction!“

“Drinks were fantastic, and the food was good. Didn't take long for the food to come out, either. We arrived at 4 pm and got a spot at the bar. The only thing I would critique is how dark it is in there. I get setting the mood, but for me, it's just not enough light. Other than that, everything was great“

“Updating this to a 5 star after our visit last night. Under new ownership you can tell everyone enjoys working there. Food & drinks were great, and the owner gave us a tour of the Speakeasy, which is open on the weekends. I highly recommend stopping by. We ate at the bar, cheers!“

“Really really solid pizza! They seemed a bit all over the place today but they were still really kind though! I'm definitely coming back for pizza time and time again. I'd also add that while I didn't get what I ordered the first time, the owner paid for it herself and owned up to mistake. Really solid people here.Parking: Good amount of parking. Nothing crazy but just glad to see they have it especially considering their location.“

“Cute little bar/restaurant in Peninsula with cozy outdoor seating. Food was good. Drinks were good and prices on both were very reasonable. We had a wonderful server and were surprised how quickly our food arrived. We will definitely go back again.“

“In Peninsula for the Ramp Up Festival with friends. Decided to stop here for lunch. They have a good selection of craft beers. I ordered a mushroon bacon burger with onion rings. Burger tasted good but was a bit dry. Ordered medium and got well done so it was not juicy how I like them. Onion rings were crispy and good. They had a special ramp flavored IPA on tap, a very unusual beer with a garlicky finish. Our server was excellent today. Patio seating was nice on a sunny day.“

“I found Lynn’s Bar off of the Facebook karaoke group in Akron. Being from out of town, I come out this way a few times a year and my wife and I enjoy a fun karaoke evening. I came in and felt welcomed instantly! Just like a regular. I had a great time with DJ Bob and all the regulars and a few other first timers. I look forward to coming back when I’m in town in May and in June. The food was very good and beer nice and cold! Service was awesome. Highly recommend checking Lynn’s out.“
“This venue is very spacious, and the stage available for inserting live bands renders room plenty or room. The house has surprising height. The "barmaid' I encountered was cute and conducted business as expected by anyone.Friday December 30th, 2022 Elliott Twist live @Kc's Nashville Nights....no kiddin' this spot is top notch.“

“Food - THE BEST WINGS around Norton! Not those little baby wings either. They're some meaty wings and the flavors they have to coat them are phenomenal. Our favorite is the Cajun and the Garlic Parm dry rubs.Service - Every time we've ordered from Old Stone Jail, it's always been fast and efficient service. The bartenders who run the food are always attentive and amazing multitaskers. Super sweet and friendly, definitely a pleasant experience every time we order or go in.Ambiance - lastly, let's talk about the ambiance! What a stellar way to pay homage to what your business was and is named after. Beautifully decorated to represent an "old stone jail", but not overly done where you're going to be overwhelmed. Not cluttered or anything in pleasing to the eyes!In the end, if you're hungry: stop by, take some pictures, order online, just do yourself a favor and ORDER FROM THEM!Cons:- Parking is limited, so if it's busy you're SOL- Busy intersections all around it, be careful“

“We stopped in late on a Sunday night for a quick bite with our daughter because it was the only place near our hotel that was open. The staff were so nice, especially Anastasia and Rick, who gladly treated our daughter to two bowls of different flavors of ice cream! It meant a lot to us to have a happy kid as we’re on a cross-country drive to British Columbia! Hope to be back the next time we’re in town. Thanks so much! -Erin, Chris, and Rosie“
“So I didn't actually go into this place but turned in to avoid the ever so annoying state trooper behind me. And as I leave. . a large woman tells and tries to sell me the most "fire weed " in Akron. I didn't buy it. But I feel as if I'm guna regret that for life“

“It might be a conflict of interest for me to even rate this place because I was there in the beginning when the place opened its doors. It regardless I have to say that I enjoyed the food enough that I came an hour early each day that I worked so I could get a chance to order their food to eat before my shift started on those days. If you get a chance, try their steak named the "Eli". It's a huge Strip steak that's worth the price! The last time I was in there they still had half price appetizers on Saturday. If they still have them I recommend the stuffed banana peppers because they're delicious.Parking: Since it is not possible to add more parking to the existing parking lot the owner has permission to allow for people to park in a parking lot across Market Street instead.“

“Traveled to the area for a weekend and was recommended this place for karaoke. The DJ was very friendly and the patrons just the same also the sound system was very good. It became very busy as the night went on yet still had the space to not feel cramped. The bartender was very professional, also a great singer. While there I did not have any food but they were very busy with food service. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area ??“

“TailGators is a really nice restaurant/ bar.It was not what we expected when walking in.It has a complete restaurant atmosphere, just with TVs showing sports.Kids will love it here, and there are plenty of choices for them and adults on the menu.We will definitely be going back!Kid-friendliness: There were a few families there while we were dining. It's quiet, and the menu has a sizable selection of kid friendly choices.Wheelchair accessibility: It is all ground level without steps.“

“Should be renamed to Spunkmeyers 'Identity Struggles'. It's a pub that serves your typical American fare that's also a country bar.? If you don't mind the music the food can be pretty good, but with that being said, it's also very much hit 'n miss. Good one day terrible the next.Service is slow. Do not come here in a rush. Expect to be there for at very minimum an hour. Doesn't matter if it's lunch on a Tuesday and your one of three people there or bar rush. Gonna be an hour at least.Lastly, with the newest owners, they seem to be in pursuit of constantly changing their menu items. Doesn't matter if it's been a well established meal there for X amount of time or not. For example you've always been able to order a Steak Philly here and expect a decent sub. Nothing fancy just a Philly and been around ages. Now without warning it comes with a spicy relish on it. Combine that with the sub-par service/cook relationship and your going to eat spicy relish on it weather you want to or not. Now if that's not an issue with you then it's totally worth the visit.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids under 12 eat free on Mondays running deal every week that most people don't seem to know about or take advantage of.“

“It's a quaint little place to go if you don't want the hustle and bustle of a larger bar or eatery. Wing night is definitely wing ding night.... but the drinks are on point and the staff is cool. All in all, not a bad place to hang out.“
“I usually visit a place a few times before reviewing, which we did. I gotta say the bartender Deville is super friendly, and always makes the best drinks!! We just moved to area and tried several other places, not bad, but The Getaway is our new “corner bar” for drinks and great music. It’s a hidden gem of Akron Valley and made us feel at home. 2 pool tables, local bar atmosphere which was welcoming to us, and great drinks!!! Haven’t tried the food, but a decent sized menu, and other people rave about it! We will def be back, again and again! ?????“
“Perfect neighborhood bar. Clean and friendly. As far as I know, no food but they have chips. They have holiday parties and birthday parties, and there's always a good vibe. Parking lot is well lit at night and there are cameras also. Nice patio with TV for watching the game. Pool tables. (I think Free Pool Mondays, but it could be a different day.)“
