We fortunately picked Pasquales. We ordered the garlic knots. They are Huge, Crispy where they need to be and chewy not doughy. And so cheap!! We decided to try the Meat Lovers Pizza and the Penne and Meatball too. Neither dish disappointed. The crust is so thin and crispy but not burnt at all and the amount of toppings was very generous. We have a lot of leftovers to take home. We both decided we would make the 45 min drive to eat here again and again. The server Makayla (sp?) was very friendly and the speed of service was Great!! Then there is the dessert case. We brought home a cannoli, a cream puff , a cinnamon roll and the peanut butter cookie sandwich with chocolate. So excited to try them too!“

“Yesterday we had a pizza party at my home. I ordered a 17" half and half with a square cut. 1st half was a Don Corleone, the 2nd half was a Porky Fig. They made a mistake in the cut, so I had to wait 8 minutes while they baked a new pie. Then while I was waiting they gave me a gift card for their mistake. This I totally was not expecting. The pizza was awesome. The Porky Fig had a nice sweetness from the fig jam. The Don Corleone had just the right spice from the meat. Deweys has always had my favor taste buds, with variety of pizza option. Their salads are tasty also. “Why did I wait 9yrs to try CP?The phone recording encourages online ordering, but this first timer had questions. After friendly, helpful ordering, our order was delivered by their own delivery people. Prompt, and friendly service again. Pizzas arrived still over 130° hot. Thin crust that had a golden brown bottom, with just enough crisp to avoid limp or brittle. The dough was NOT over-mixed to create that gummy/chewy bite. Sauce was right on point with flavors of garlic and herb, rather than sugar.Cheese has a nice gooey pull without that rubbery snap-back. The enzo pepperoni and sausage was vividly flavored, and paired well with the sauce. We tried the recommended Italian sub pizza which uses the creamy Italian dressing for the sauce base. I’m so glad we did. It was a big hit. Our second visit we did carryout. Small place with a small grab & go private parking lot. Again with the friendly staff. No tables, no chairs. You pay, you go. Small interior for customers to loiter. I did like that they had the touchless TapPay machine to use your phone. Added a sub this visit. Worried the sub didn’t even measure out to 7” was for not. The double meat & cheese Italian sub did not suffer a loss of contents. Well worth the price. I do require more than 2 slices of tomato, so I will order extra next time. Lastly, I always recommend people bring an insulated bag to carry your food home. You want that food as hot and delicious as the way they prepared it for you. Hope this helps. #UpCloseSavor“

“I got the works and pepperoni half. The sauce is a bit spicy and fresh tasting. The dough is a little sweeter. The pizza was very good as the toppings are loaded on it. The restaurant is adding some much needed seating area. Once they get it done, it should be a great place to sit and enjoy some pie.“

“We came up from GA as we were viewing the eclipse...... my FIL wanted pizza and I have to have gluten free so I found this on my FIND ME gf APP. when we pulled up I was not impressed at first because we had to eat outside and it looked interesting....HOWEVER ordering was very easy.... the the staff was very nice. I think it was the owner ? who gave my daughter a little snack and treat which was very kind of him. When I got my pizza I had to ask if it was in fact gf because the crust was not that flat crust you normally get. when I took a bite it was crunchy in the crust but not hard....and the flavor was nice. It was a wonderful pizza for being GF and something I typically dont get because mine are always flat. my FIL and husband got the everything pizza and they enjoyed it. (idk what it was called but it had everything) The portions were great and it seemed like they used good ingredients. I was most impressed by my pizza !!! “Nice place to grab a pizza and listen to some outdoor music. However, they ONLY have pepperoni or cheese pizza and Cesar salad as food. That’s it. Period. Would be nice if they at least had subs or something else if you’re not in the pizza mood. Also, many patrons do not respect the smoking guidelines. Dining is outdoors but it is bothersome to have someone smoking right where you’re eating.“

The linguini was perfectly cooked as al dente, spinach and halved cherry tomatoes were great with butter and garlic...just as it all should be. I did order a 2nd little side salad that was $5.00. I do believe that's too much for what you get. Should definitely be $2.50 especially compared to other places. It was very small, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and croutons. Owned by a family originally from Mexico City they offer traditional Mexican food from a slightly abbreviated menu. The abbreviated menu doesn’t bother me because it is a small restaurant and I would rather they do a few things well than have to cut corners with a larger menu. One thing Taqueria El Girasol offers that is usually missing from local Mexican menus is breakfast dishes.Doing my due diligence I read several previous reviews of the establishment and I will now address some of the earlier concerns in one sentence or less. The chips were warm, the salsa was thick, the horchata was cold and the food was deliciously seasoned.The FoodToday I chose Huevos A La Mexicana. Eggs scrambled with tomato, onions and Jalapeños. It was cooked perfectly and not overcooked as is easy to do. It was well seasoned and served hot. It was in my opinion a good value for the money spent. I have never ordered a dish here that once finished left me hungry. Speaking of good values the desserts here are easily large enough for two servings and are absolutely delicious.The FacilityThe signage in front makes the restaurant easy to find even though it is situated almost in the corner spot of a small strip. Once inside the dining is nicely decorated with artworks that pay homage to both Mexico and Central Ohio. The table arrangement is nicely laid out and not cramped. Overall the dining room and restrooms are very clean and neat in appearance.The PeopleThe people who represent your business can make or break your business. The people I have talked to at Taqueria El Girasol are some of the nicest I have met in a while. They have always welcomed me in or welcomed me back and have always made me feel truly welcome. They have also always thanked me for my visit. Not just one of my favorite restaurants but also some of my favorite people.Personal observations and preferencesNot much I would change about Taqueria El Girasol. Would like the option of flour or corn tortillas with some dishes but to be fair it may be something that all I had to do was asked for. Also business hours of 10:00AM-10:00PM are not conducive breakfast dining and the breakfast dishes on the menu. I understand this is a family business and the importance of balancing life with work, but I’d be interested to see whether they would be more busy between say 8:00AM to 10:00AM or 8:00PM-10:00PM.Final thoughts and recommendationsOverall I would have no reservations recommending Taqueria El Girasol to a friend or family member, or for that matter taking a friend or family member there to eat.“

“Food was mediocre. Super runny pasta sauce. Got food super fast but it was so incredibly scalding you could tell it was high power microwaved. The bread sticks and Alfredo sause were the most exciting things about the meal. Service was great however.“

“Sunday, September 17, 2023 was my first visit to this Sbarro and I was thoroughly impressed. I had a simple pep and cheese and I have to say that it was one the best pies that I have had overall in quite some time. The mozzarella sticks were good. The pizza was very greasy. We’ve had it before and that was not the case. The Stromboli was picture perfect, but very bland—as if there was no seasoning at all. My daughter-in-law suggested putting Italian seasoning in with the filling, then mixed with the butter/oil that was brushed on top. The dipping sauce was also rather bland. But the star of the show was the broccoli followed by the spaghetti and meatball. The portions were generous and most of the spaghetti went home with us.“
