“If you live close to this place and haven't tried it, shame on you!! We were looking for pizza and pasta for lunch from somewhere we had never been before. That is always a little scary!! We fortunately picked Pasquales. We ordered the garlic knots. They are Huge, Crispy where they need to be and chewy not doughy. And so cheap!! We decided to try the Meat Lovers Pizza and the Penne and Meatball too. Neither dish disappointed. The crust is so thin and crispy but not burnt at all and the amount of toppings was very generous. We have a lot of leftovers to take home. We both decided we would make the 45 min drive to eat here again and again. The server Makayla (sp?) was very friendly and the speed of service was Great!! Then there is the dessert case. We brought home a cannoli, a cream puff , a cinnamon roll and the peanut butter cookie sandwich with chocolate. So excited to try them too!“

“My husband and I are from the Ohio Valley and have longed for some good fried chicken and jojos since we moved to Columbus in 2005. I'm telling you this place is the REAL DEAL! “I have been looking for a good pizza since moving north from Clintonville and I have finally found it! I judge on pepperoni pizzas - it was thin, crispy and the pepperoni was perfectly cooked! Will drive to Westerville from Delaware Alum Creek area anytime! Also loved the Boneless Wings - very little breading and quality chicken.“
“Why did I wait 9yrs to try CP?The phone recording encourages online ordering, but this first timer had questions. After friendly, helpful ordering, our order was delivered by their own delivery people. Prompt, and friendly service again. Pizzas arrived still over 130° hot. Thin crust that had a golden brown bottom, with just enough crisp to avoid limp or brittle. The dough was NOT over-mixed to create that gummy/chewy bite. Sauce was right on point with flavors of garlic and herb, rather than sugar.Cheese has a nice gooey pull without that rubbery snap-back. The enzo pepperoni and sausage was vividly flavored, and paired well with the sauce. We tried the recommended Italian sub pizza which uses the creamy Italian dressing for the sauce base. I’m so glad we did. It was a big hit. Our second visit we did carryout. Small place with a small grab & go private parking lot. Again with the friendly staff. No tables, no chairs. You pay, you go. Small interior for customers to loiter. I did like that they had the touchless TapPay machine to use your phone. Added a sub this visit. Worried the sub didn’t even measure out to 7” was for not. The double meat & cheese Italian sub did not suffer a loss of contents. Well worth the price. I do require more than 2 slices of tomato, so I will order extra next time. “Taqueria El GirasolTaqueria El Girasol is a recent addition to the Westerville dining scene and is one of my new favorites. Owned by a family originally from Mexico City they offer traditional Mexican food from a slightly abbreviated menu. The abbreviated menu doesn’t bother me because it is a small restaurant and I would rather they do a few things well than have to cut corners with a larger menu. One thing Taqueria El Girasol offers that is usually missing from local Mexican menus is breakfast dishes.Doing my due diligence I read several previous reviews of the establishment and I will now address some of the earlier concerns in one sentence or less. The chips were warm, the salsa was thick, the horchata was cold and the food was deliciously seasoned.The FoodToday I chose Huevos A La Mexicana. Eggs scrambled with tomato, onions and Jalapeños. It was cooked perfectly and not overcooked as is easy to do. It was well seasoned and served hot. It was in my opinion a good value for the money spent. I have never ordered a dish here that once finished left me hungry. Speaking of good values the desserts here are easily large enough for two servings and are absolutely delicious.The FacilityThe signage in front makes the restaurant easy to find even though it is situated almost in the corner spot of a small strip. Once inside the dining is nicely decorated with artworks that pay homage to both Mexico and Central Ohio. The table arrangement is nicely laid out and not cramped. Overall the dining room and restrooms are very clean and neat in appearance.The PeopleThe people who represent your business can make or break your business. The people I have talked to at Taqueria El Girasol are some of the nicest I have met in a while. They have always welcomed me in or welcomed me back and have always made me feel truly welcome. They have also always thanked me for my visit. Not just one of my favorite restaurants but also some of my favorite people.Personal observations and preferencesNot much I would change about Taqueria El Girasol. Would like the option of flour or corn tortillas with some dishes but to be fair it may be something that all I had to do was asked for. Also business hours of 10:00AM-10:00PM are not conducive breakfast dining and the breakfast dishes on the menu. I understand this is a family business and the importance of balancing life with work, but I’d be interested to see whether they would be more busy between say 8:00AM to 10:00AM or 8:00PM-10:00PM.Final thoughts and recommendationsOverall I would have no reservations recommending Taqueria El Girasol to a friend or family member, or for that matter taking a friend or family member there to eat.“

“We met family (with 2 young-uns—one 5 yo, the other one 6 mos old) for dinner. Our server was awesome! She was very attentive and loved the kids! We had mozzarella sticks to start, then the guys split a pepperoni pizza and the gals had Stromboli—one chicken, one veggie. And my grandson had spaghetti and meatballs and steamed broccoli. The mozzarella sticks were good. The pizza was very greasy. We’ve had it before and that was not the case. The Stromboli was picture perfect, but very bland—as if there was no seasoning at all. My daughter-in-law suggested putting Italian seasoning in with the filling, then mixed with the butter/oil that was brushed on top. The dipping sauce was also rather bland. But the star of the show was the broccoli followed by the spaghetti and meatball. The portions were generous and most of the spaghetti went home with us.“
“Stopped in here for some beers mid afternoon on a Saturday. they have a great selection of beer, and the servers are attentive and friendly. For such a great place i was surprised it wasn't very busy. they have a nice patio area but it was a little too cold for that when we were there. i can't speak for the food, but what we saw looked good.“
“When the Masseys closest to our home closed, the search was on to fined a new location. Westerville wins hands down. This is our 5th trip. As a person doing Keto-- the cauliflower crust here is a great cheat option. There are very few pizza places that have a low carb version of a cauliflower crust, Masseys is one. But any how-- regarding the Westerville Massey's - consistency!!!! The staff is friendly. Adam has taken our order a few times now, and he's very nice, and always comes out to check on us.The pizza comes out hot, with lots of toppings every time we have been here. “My family and I were in Columbus visiting friends and looking for a place to eat dinner. We came across Time and Change and had a great experience. Traci was our server and she was so accommodating to our toddler. She brought her dinner out even before our own entrees so our hangry toddler could start eating asap.Music wasn't too loud, but we could tell it would be a great hangout to watch The Buckeyes when they're playing. Looks like they do trivia nights too.The owners even came out and talked with us as one point. Sounds like they just purchased the restaurant and are working hard at make some changes for the better, including rolling out a new menu. The wings were AWESOME.
